Terrible company to work with. I' have since found out that Jody the owner is extremely disliked and known as a "piece of s*** " throughout the other concrete contractors as well as being disliked as a person. We had this company reseal our stamped driveway and patio in June of 2018. One of his workers had to return within a day to fix some serious bubbling problems. Within three months the seal turned cloudy and in other places it appeared to have worn off. I called the owner asking that he come and look at the work and give us advice on how we could correct the problem. He was rude and belligerent and said he could redo the work for a new fee but he wasn't going to take the time just to look at it. Avoid this company. read more

Liberty Concrete did not use rebar or gravel on my driveway, and they did not complete the work. They have 2 complaints with the BBB and 5 F's on Angies List. Check them out if you are considering hire them, hire them and you too can be filing a complaint. I hired Liberty Concrete to widen my driveway, which included removing 24" of the exiting driveway to get to a joint line. This work removed a curb and a 3' section of the front walk. Joel "Jody" McGowan, the owner of Liberty Concrete showed up to work and told me that he forgot to put rebar on the truck and asked me if I had any because the curb needed it. I did not have any so he did not use rebar in my driveway as was planned and necessary for the job. Jody also said that the place he gets gravel from was closed so he was not going to use any gravel. There are many place close by places to get gravel but he didn't want to go anywhere else cause he has an account at the place that was closed so No Gravel. I noticed that Jody and his crew did not remove the broken 3' section and when I pointed that out Jody said he forgot to cut it out but he was done cutting so he was not going to do it. I demanded that he complete the work we agreed on and he agreed that this was part of the contracted work but said that that's the way it goes. The cement truck was more than 90 minutes out at this point so he had plenty of time to complete this task but Jody and his employees and Jody sat idle while they waited for the cement truck. Jody patched the walkway instead of replacing it as discussed and it looked terrible. One of his employees came over to me and apologized for the quality of the work. Jody and Liberty Concrete defiantly does not care about the quality of their work, Jody cuts and does substandard work. Now I have to go through the hassle of placing a complaint with the CCB and BBB and write reviews on social media. What a pain it is when you hire the wrong people. When I tried to talk with Jody about the issues, he became very angry and told me that I was messing with the wrong guy. Don't' hire the wrong guy, don't hire Liberty Concrete LLC. Check the BBB and CCD on any contractor you hire. read more

I hired Jodi (Liberty Concrete) to pour and stamp a concrete patio for me.This was not a small project and cost 9000.00 +.Part of that cost was to grade and add gravel to stabilize the ground.After 6 months I had 3-4-5 foot cracks that extend through the expansion joints.After calling several times I ended up having to write a letter. Jodi showed up and said he would fix it at MY cost.After I decided that it wasn't worth a fight I agreed. That was a YEAR and A HALF ago.Yes a year and a half and he is a no show.He hasn't answered my last 3 phone calls where I have left him messages in the last 2 months.All I have now is a mess of a very expensive patio.I really did not want to write a poor review but this situation is unacceptable to me and I don't really have any other recourse.Beware of doing business with Liberty Concrete.None of what I have written is exaggerated or untrue. Addendum: 9/10/2017 I posted a simple 2 sentence long review on Liberty Concrete's Facebook page and within minutes I received massages from Jody, two family members and a employee ( I believe ) ALL were extremely confrontational and accused me of lying-being paid to post bad reviews-NOT even living in Oregon and my favorite that he had never done any work for me and did not know who I was.Very abusive.I posted photos of Jody, his son and his workers actually pouring the patio yet still they persisted that I was lying. I explained to one that I had photos she could not deny, copies of checks I wrote to pay, a signed contract and cell phone records.If you read other reviews I guess those people lied also? One of the guys who blasted me must have been shocked to see the photos with Jody working here because he then flipped his opinion to say that I must have mistreated my concrete to cause the damage and since I did not follow directions it was clearly my fault ! He also totally disregarded the fact that I had been trying to get a hold of Jody for the past several months by saying " what kind of a person waits two years to complain".Apparently he did not read or comprehend that this was going on for so long because Liberty never would return my calls.My last two calls were made on August 7th 2017.After a month I decided to post everywhere I could. read more

We just had Liberty Concrete finish up a patio in our back yard. The entire experience was both professional and amiable. Jody McGowan was the most pleasant and accommodating person that I have worked with. He and Liberty Concrete definitely went the extra mile.
