Drove to buy a used van and was told it had "minor" surface rust. I drive 2 hours to find that the entire bottom edges of the side doors were bent and rotted. The rear cargo doors were also rotted on the bottom and all of the rocker panels were rotted and painted over. I literally felt under the rocker panel and rotted metal was in my hand. On the other side I touched a section of bubbled paint and my finger went through it. It was literally rotted metal that was painted over. Total WASTE of my time! Be honest about what you have and don't waste peoples time! Will never look at another vehicle in the state of ohio since they don't require vehicle inspections. read more

Brought my car in to the shop in May for wiper motor failure. After a $200 diagnostic I was told to get the car because "nothing is wrong". Upon bringing it back in July for the same problem and being informed I would not need to pay the diagnostic fees again, I had 2 employees stand there with me and the vehicle to confirm there is an issue where the technician informed it it was indeed wiper motor failure as I had stated months prior. I then received a call saying that the motor is fine and it needs a new switch. When asked for a quote for parts and labor combined I was quoted about $280 (on top of the $200 already paid.) A few days go by when I receive a call saying the switch didn't fix anything and they need to replace the motor (exactly what I have been asking them to do for months.) at an additional expense of $700+. I decided to take my car elsewhere as they clearly do not listen to my needs and are doing anything possible to grab more money from me. Upon pickup and going back and forth with Zack (who stated nothing was wrong with my car initially) I was told my bill was $450 with the car still being broken. When I told Zack that was not what I was quoted and will not be paying, the number magically changed to $225! When I confronted Zack about the change I was told he "made a mistake when entering the service" (aka tried to charge me for a service not provided and thought I wouldn't know better). This shop clearly likes to take advantage their customers and young women who they think don't know any better. Save yourself the money and hassle and find a different repair shop/dealership to give your money to and maybe they will actually fix your car too! read more

They didn't warn her several months ago that the brakes were close to the rotors, so when she took it in this time for a brake job, they had to also replace the expensive rotors. Purchased a new Ford Explorer through Liberty Ford Solon; was up-sold on bumper-to-bumper extended warranty. Paint began bubbling and flaking on hood. Liberty said "it's because of what the state puts on the road (i.e. salt) you'll have to pay to fix it yourself". They ultimately refused to remedy the situation. Jerks. Really pushy. Came here looking to try out a few cars, didn't listed to what we wanted. Kept us waiting for what seemed like hours while they desparately tried to put a deal together but at the same time, rushed us through the test drives and didn't want us actually driving the car for any length of time (?). Later we searched their website and the exact same cars were listed for several thousand dollars less than the prices they quoted us in the dealership. I wouldn't mind buying a Ford product as I think their quality and reputation for some of the newer models (Ford Fusion, Focus) is comparable to a Hyundai Sonata/ Elantra, Honda Civic, Mazda3, etc. And it does feel better to "Buy American" even if some of their products are assembled in Mexico. But after this treatment, I wouldn't come back to this dealership even if I was buying a Ford. read more

Originally my son had said he wanted one car. They pushed another car on him HEAVILY!!! He was under time constraints to get to Texas for a new job. They said they just got it in. Said it was a good car!! Well long story short. It's NOT!!! They never did the recalls. The car looses power on the highway putting him in life threatening situations. Car had been in an accident that was way worse than the fender bender they claimed. Just as the car came out of the extended warranty and the certified preowned warranties when my son moved back from Texas they refused to help and claimed he needed a whole new Transmission for about $5-7,000. This is a awesome place to buy a new vehicle. They made the experience easy and transparent. They answered any questions we had and did not hide fees like other dealers. My wife traded in her vehicle and bought a 2016 Ford Escape. We worked with Rick Neathery and he made us comfortable throughout the entire process. We did our research and shopped at other ford dealers - I couldn't get a call back from one and at another the sales person started with a very high price and then proceeded to drop his "Rock Bottom Price" 3 separate times before we got up and left. I'll give this a 2 star because they did make it very easy to get out of my leased car and into a new one, *BUT*, I feel the salesperson and used car manager was not upfront with me. Now, some people may read this and write this off as ignorance, but I was very upfront with I had never bought a car before and needed to know my options. I was in a leased car that my cousin got my into because my previous car was totaled in an accident, and he helped me sign and drive with no down time. I had a few months remaining on my lease, and several dealerships were willing to buy that out and get me into a newer car. Liberty Ford did not offer that, but said I was "wiped clean of my lease" (I asked this several times to make sure no fees/charges would occur). So, I was fine with paying out my lease and lumping it into my new loan. Then, I got hit with a $900 repair bill. Sure, I should have anticipated this, but being told "wiped clean" I figured WIPED CLEAN. Ford offered a "paid in full" discount which was cool, so I wrote it off. The car I bought had a small crack in the windshield near the rear view mirror that took me a few days to notice it in the sunlight (bought the car at nighttime). The salesperson, Greg, said I didn't call back soon enough. But, if I needed it replaced, he would offer me an "at-cost" repair. I didn't have money for anything, so I waited, and now the crack has grown to nearly 1.5-2 ft long. I called both the used car manager and the salesperson, left voicemails, and no one called me back. I feel this dealership exhibits the very stereotype of a car salesperson, who wants nothing but your money. They are not helpful, and in retrospect I would have never bought this car had I known all of these details. Instead, I am making payments over my comfort level for the next 6 years, AND replacing my windshield out of pocket. As a recent grad, in my first job, this is beyond a struggle for me. I would not recommend going to this place unless you are a seasoned car buying person. If you feel you are susceptible to persuasion, don't even bother. I'm writing this email for my mom Jean Baker that had an appointment for service today at 11:00. I needed to pick her up so we made it 10:00 that we would drop her car off. When we got there the parts needed were not there, My mom made the appointment 2 weeks ago. It would have been with good communication if she received a phone call explaining that the parts were not in for her scheduled day for repair. I was waiting in my car while this was going on and my mom came out to explain. I asked her to to go back in and ask if she were to leave her car if they can work on it tomorrow, She went back in and was in there for a bit so I went in to see what was the hold up. The service rep Bill that she was dealing with was on the phone and my mom was just standing there. She is 80 and has bad legs. Bill was talking on the phone with pulling down his mask to talk. The service rep across from him had his mask pulled down on the phone and was spitting into a bottle. How gross to see that! Was he using chewing tobacco? I don't know, but both my mom and myself were appalled by this in a business setting. Not to mention we felt unsafe during a pandemic with close quarters inside and staff not wearing correctly their face coverings. I voiced my concerns out loud and I don't think that the service rep Bill liked that. He appears to be a bit arrogant when he came out and asked if we wanted to go elsewhere. I asked my mom and we made the decision to leave and go have our repair done elsewhere. She did not receive an apology about the part not being there and we were told by Bill that it was not his fault. I don't care who's fault it is but it might be nice if the person on the firing line would have been a bit sympathetic as to his dealership not being prepared and lacking communication as to have a long time customer waste a trip in just to find out no repair will be performed today. Not to mention I, myself had to also make a trip in with thinking that I was needed to pick up my mom to take her home. You need better communication from staff, better attitude from staff, better personal habits from staff and better protection during the pandemic with proper face covering in place at all times. I am greatly disappointed in the way they took advantage of my mother who is 80 years old. She and her friend came in November 11th 2015 in the evening looking for an inexpensive used car for her to drive while she was there in Ohio. Long story short they sold her a 2013 Ford Focus that was priced at 11,000.00. by the time they got done with her she drove away for 18,000 dollars worth useless warranties and six years of payments. As it turns out the falsified the loan documents to make it look her income was higher than it was. All the while my mother didn't fully understand everything that was going on. Worst service experience ever! One day repair turned into a week. Had a couple warranty repairs made and a recall part. They did not have the right tool to replace a faulty electronic rearview mirror so they sent to another location who broke the front window. At that point the gave me a rental (they get an A for that part). Picked up car and it was filthy inside with residue from the work and smelled like body oder. Then found the wipers weren't working right. Brought back and complained. No one wanted to take responsibility. They initially tried to push it off to another day but finally they agreed to have the wipers repaired and clean the car. The made the repair and cleaned the front but didn't have the courtesy to clean the back or run the car through the car wash. You would think they'd at least wash the entire car considering the inconvenience of a 1 day repair turning into 6. Interestingly they didn't give me a service receipt on my return today, wondering if there trying to hide from Ford and survey? Lease is up soon, don't think they gave me a compelling reason to go back! read more

I wanted to upgrade back to an SUV- (I had lasik and couldn't see at night when I went from an explorer to a sedan), but, really, I didn't have any money saved for a down payment since it was kind of on a whim. I knew I would be limited in what I could afford because I wanted my payments to be $350 only. I has emailed Tiffani back and forth talking price ranges and options and we decided that I should just come in and test drive something before the dealership spent time looking for a car for me. (Since there are a bunch of liberty dealerships they have a huge inventory not at their location). I knew I wanted an escape because that was in my price range. I drove a few 2017 escapes and decided, of course, that I liked the titanium which is the most expensive one. I was pre approved for a loan from my credit union so I knew exactly what I could get. And it wasn't the top of the line anything. Tiffani talked to me about a lease and ran some numbers for me. With my trade (2010 Nissan) I was at $351.00 for the top of the line Escape. Needless to say I am very happy. I am lucky that I could do a lease since I live 1.5 miles from work! So, that was the lowest mile lease option. but in general, I really liked Tiffani. She was a NO PRESSURE sales person. Like, super laid back. I would recommend her to my friends and family. read more

We flew all the way from the west coast to see this truck. The sales man was nice, Marvin. Once we got to the finance department it was a different story. We told him that we did not want the extended warrantee. And he just kept hammering us about how we needed it, it would only increase our payment such and such. My husband, after about an hour of saying NO, finally got very angry and very sternly told him NO again. That is when the finance guy finally said he would give it to us free, and we agreed. Come to find out he did not give it to us free it was HIDDEN in the docs. He did not go over the charges on the doc's just said here sign. My bad, we had been up for over 24 hours because of flying across country and I did not check as well as I should have. After the discovery, it has been HELL trying to cancel it and get ALL of our money back. The Owner/Manger, Greg Bumbu, stated we would receive a FULL refund of the 2300+ charge plus money for the chrome tip that was broken. This was a certified used truck and everything should have been gone through. The check finally came 9 weeks later and it was not for the full price, but for a prorated amount of just over 2100.. So another call has to be made.... This place just does not do what they say they will. This whole experience with them has left a very sour taste. 9/616--Update. Well really no update. They have not returned our calls, nor have they refunded the FULL amount of the warrantee. The service advisor Brian is horrible and does not know how to talk to customers. Last week my battery went dead. I had a couple of problems with my 2017 Ford fusion before which is not even a year old. The last time i had a problem, Brian gave me his card and told me to call him anytime I have a problem with my car. Maybe he did that all for show cause the service manager was in the room with him. So I call up Brian and told him that my battery went dead and I had to get it jumped. He listen to me and said that he could check out my car for me so we schedule an appointment. When i get there I told him that the day my battery had died, I had my radio on for a hour. He than start talking to me like a kid and tell me that I caused the battery to die. I said ok but I had other battery problems with my car and he say rudely that it was a long time ago. So he just standing there like he is waiting for me to leave. I ask him if he's going to look at my car. He say sarcastically that I'm going to tell you the same thing. I'm still under warranty and wanted to make sure everything in my car was ok. In have that right to have my car looked at by a Ford Services. All he had to do was have someone checkout my car like he scheduled me. If everything was ok, than I'm happy. I know he wouldn't talk to me that way if I was a man. The sales manager is no better. When he was selling me the car, he was so nice and friendly. I recently dropped off a van to their Collision shop to take care of a recall, and we did have a small crack in the windshield about 2 inches, and when we got it back the whole windshield was cracked...They are telling me that it possibly could have happened since we had temperature from 65 degrees to 8o degrees that they had the car...I have had that crack through the winter and summer for two years and it was a total of two inches in two years...Funny how things can go wrong in two days at a dealership and nobody wants to take the blame...The cost of replacing the windshield is an issue since I have three children in the car at all times but the principal of it is the bigger issue...when you entrust someone with your car you should not get it back in worse shape than when you dropped it off... read more
