When I heard that he really was out of commission- I called Danny back and within an hour his crew was at my house fixing the problem. And instead of replacing the whole thing with a new $500 opener which had been suggested to my by yet another vendor- he said that he could just replace the gear and adjust the tension. Really? But the kicker for me was when he said he would do a free tune up with in two years And that this new gear had a 4 year warranty. And all this for the low, low price of $165. Sold! said I. They even looked at and tuned up the other garage door that I thought was working fine just to make sure it was functioning properly. So now the doors go up and down just as they are supposed to do . . . and without me having to flag by a passerby to help me lift the heavy doors. This is a family owned business that has 24/7 emergency service as well as they sell and install new doors, garage openers and even build garages! Pretty good service. Installation was smooth, we went from older liftmaster to a newer liftmaster…read more I also appreciated that they lubricated the rails and the door is quieter now. A couple issues did occur. The installer didn't take the lightbulb from the old liftmaster unit and add it to the new one, they just threw the old one out with the perfectly good light bulb in it and didn't install the bulb in the new unit. I had to go in the trash to get the lightbulb from the old unit after the installer left. Also, the garage door opened and closed from inside the garage but from the alley, the remotes would not close the garage. Only open it. I messaged Mohamed and demonstrated the issue over facetime. Eventually, he stopped replying to my messages and didn't provide a timeframe for sending somebody back out to look at it. I took matters into my own hands and deleted and reprogrammed the remotes myself several times until the garage door remotes worked as they should. I would have preferred that these issues were addressed on the first visit but in the end, the garage door is working again.

Edit: just swept up a bunch of cut bolts and screws off the garage floor which I'm sure would have punctured one of my brand new tires. Changing to 4 stars-they should have cleaned up with a magnet.
