She had a hard time with the call button. Her room mate was very loud and was giving the staff a really hard time. I had to switch mom to another room with better access to the toilet. She did better with her physical therapy in the new room too. They got her to walk again after her fall last January she stayed til March The staff did their best but was under staffed at times it took awhile to answer the call button. My mom said she got tired of waiting and used her wheelchair to get to the toilet. The girls never came to help some of the time. It was better than some places I've seen and worked in. I recovered at Redlands Healthcare skilled nursing facility, after an accident that crippled both…read morelegs due two large-bone fractures, needing rods and pins, and an ankle dislocation that needed a plate implant. The other leg, a knee needed reconstruction. I could barely put weight a little on one leg when I got there. The Physical Therapy section of the care was excellent. Even when I could barely move the legs they had me getting my blood circulating with stretch bands in bed and lifts. I felt so inspired to heal. We worked so well together, my team who helped with all kinds of care, from clean ups, bathing, the meal plan, the medications and even some fun activities such as painting, word games, number games and searches. There were special events such as ethnic music and dance, an ice cream social, and birthday celebrations. Staff people, nurses and assistents were cheerful and helpful. Administration: top notch. I considered staying longer, but the care was so efficient at getting me back on my feet again that I got to leave two months early! I even went back to visit some of my friends-- both patients and staff, and felt welcome and almost like home! No wonder this place is always full to capacity with people lined up to get in! Thank you to every person who contributed to such a speedy recovery! They made sure that I got home safely, as well. 10/10 I highly recommend this facility!

The facility is clean and well-maintained, the food is very good, and there are always plenty of nurses available. What really stands out is how quickly they respond -- whenever the call button is pressed, someone always comes right away. You can tell they genuinely care about their residents. Because of their kindness, professionalism, and the level of comfort they provide to both residents and families, I feel they truly deserve a full five-star rating.

We come from a military background and deeply value professionalism, structure, and respect--qualities that were sorely lacking here. We arrived 30 minutes early to our scheduled appointment, only to be told five minutes after the appointment time that it had been canceled--without any prior notice. No apology, no explanation, and certainly no accountability. This level of disregard for people's time and needs is unacceptable, especially from a place that claims to be a mental health haven. The waiting area was incredibly uncomfortable. While our family is open-minded, loving, and accepting of all walks of life, we did not feel that the space was safe or appropriate--especially with our four-month-old newborn present. The behavior and general vibe of the people allowed to linger in the lobby were unsettling, and it made us question the level of discernment and professionalism of the staff. It's deeply ironic that this office markets itself as a safe and healing space, when in reality, it induced more stress, confusion, and anxiety than any other environment I've stepped into for mental health care. It's difficult to imagine how someone working in this field could appear so mentally unwell themselves--and even more difficult to understand how they were hired to help others. If you are not part of a very specific demographic or ideology, and especially if you are a working-class or military family like ours, you may find yourself feeling very unwelcome and out of place here. Please be wary. What this place claims to be and what it actually is are two very different things.

My grandma is currently living at Highland Care Center of Redlands…read more The communication from staff has not been the best. We've called many times and left messages with no word back. It's very upsetting to not get through to nursing staff or doctors for updates. My grandma has dementia and we just want to see how she is doing and try to coordinate care/ determine placement based on her individual needs. The bathrooms were gross. Smelled like urine. The facility is not horrible, but it could be cleaner. The care seemed fine, from what I was able to observe while visiting. My grandma ate breakfast, which consisted of eggs, toast, a fruit and oatmeal. It looks like they have scheduled groups/ classes for residents. That is great. The residents were so sweet. My grandma has made some friends, which makes me happy. The facility is not very big. They do have an outdoor area for residents to walk around. That's nice.

**I would not recommend Oak Glen Post Acute to anyone that ACTUALLY likes their loved one**…read more My grandfather arrived on August 11, 2026, in the afternoon following surgery. What happened over the next several days was completely unacceptable. On his first day, he was not given a shower or an examination. His pain medication was not given in a timely manner and was sometimes hours late. Even worse, throughout his entire stay, no one came to assist him with using the restroom. For someone recovering from surgery and sent to a rehabilitation facility specifically because they need additional care and assistance, I find that absolutely inexcusable. I spoke with a supervisor, Jojo, about the problems with his pain medication and the lack of assistance. When I called my grandfather on August 12, the same problems were still happening, and he STILL had not started physical therapy. At this point, my grandfather was already fed up with the facility. I convinced him to give me an opportunity to go there myself and speak with staff in person before we made the decision to remove him. On August 13, I went to the facility and again spoke with Jojo because, quite frankly, she seemed like one of the only people there actually doing work. I specifically explained that my grandfather needed to start physical therapy, needed a shower, and needed his pain medication on time. She appeared surprised when I told her that he had received neither physical therapy nor a shower since arriving. I was assured these things would be addressed. While I was there, I was also extremely unimpressed with the condition of the grounds. The property looked dirty and poorly maintained, with dying plants and an overall neglected appearance. I learned that the property apparently used to be an orphanage, and unfortunately the entire place gave me the feeling of a place where forgotten people are sent and left behind. After watching how my grandfather was treated, that feeling only became stronger. On August 14, he FINALLY received a physical therapy session, three days after arriving. However, he still had not received a shower, still was not receiving assistance with the restroom, and was still having problems receiving his pain medication on time. I texted Jojo and told her that I would be removing him from the facility the following day. At that point I was no longer willing to keep giving the facility chances to provide the level of basic care that should have been happening from the beginning. Only after I complained again by text was he offered a shower, close to 6 p.m. He declined because of how late it was. His pain medication issues were also continuing. Once I made it clear that we were removing him, I suddenly began receiving calls from higher-ups. By then, it was too late. I had already raised these concerns repeatedly and had also contacted his insurance case manager. The final experience on August 15 made an already terrible situation even worse. My husband went to pick up my grandfather as we had already told the facility we were going to do. According to my husband, the head nurse (a tall woman with brown hair and glasses) yelled at him, berated and belittled him, and even accused him of stealing a wheelchair THAT WE BROUGHT WITH US. She then loudly talked about my husband to another nurse in the hallway. The behavior he described was shockingly unprofessional and completely inappropriate for someone working in healthcare. Maybe she was possessed by a ghost of one of the bratty children from the orphanage. I was later told that she behaved this way because we were taking my grandfather out against medical advice. That does not excuse her behavior whatsoever. If the facility was so concerned about his medical well-being, that concern should have been demonstrated through timely medication, assistance with basic needs, hygiene, rehabilitation, and attentive care from DAY ONE. You cannot repeatedly fail to meet someone's needs and then suddenly act outraged when their family decides enough is enough. What makes this even more frustrating is that this nurse reportedly claimed she did not know about my grandfather's condition, yet suddenly had plenty to say and had plenty of questions when we were removing him. My husband asked when my grandfather had last received his pain medication and was not given an answer. He also requested aftercare paperwork and was not provided with it. Thankfully, my grandfather's case manager through his insurance helped us get everything sorted out afterward. We gave this facility multiple opportunities to correct these problems. We spoke with staff, raised concerns repeatedly, went there in person, followed up again, and involved his case manager. Removing him was not some impulsive decision. It happened after several days of watching the same basic care issues continue despite repeated complaints and assurances that they would be addressed.
