    - 5-star experience with Courtesy Subaru in Rapid City, SD…read more I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience with Brandon at Courtesy Subaru in Rapid City. He was absolutely outstanding from start to finish! Brandon was genuine, honest, knowledgeable, and just incredibly easy to deal with. There was never any pressure or "salesman" feeling; he simply listened, answered every question, & made the whole experience surprisingly enjoyable. We ended up leasing a new Outback Premium from him, and we couldn't be happier. And then Brandon really went above and beyond. He came in on his DAY OFF to close our deal and take care of the paperwork! Before we left, he also patiently walked me through all of the electronic gadgets and systems in the Outback (and there are a LOT ), making sure I actually understood how everything worked. You know you've had a great car-buying experience when you leave feeling like you just dealt with a genuinely good person rather than a salesperson. That was Brandon. He is truly an A+ human and an A+ salesperson. We would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. If you're looking for a Subaru, ask for Brandon M - you will be very glad you did!

So I went to the Subaru dealer, literally just one block away. Told the guy at the service department what happened. He took my key and said he'd take care of it. I asked him how much I needed to pay, and he said it was free. I'm not sure if it's normal or just Midwest "nice":) but the weather had been unpredictable so it's less stressful knowing it's fixed before I hit the road

If you are in the market for frustration, lies and wasted time...this is the place for you...and if you mention Capital One, rest assured, you will be given the royal "We do not want to do business with you treatment". 5 Stars and a nomination for the 2025 "Best Bad Auto Buying Experience" Award.

After looking in to it, it's obvious the tire size setting in the BCM was set to 33 inch tires as a stock Rubicon has. We got there at 8am as the appointment was for, explained the situation again all that needed to be done was change tire size in the BCM. Then I noticed the inside tread on all 4 new tires was warn so the alignment is off. Between the Liberty dealerships they have 1 guy to do alignment so couldn't get that done cause he didn't show up. Reading service ticket they ran the BCM for codes and reprogrammed, couldn't get an answer if they specifically changed the tire size to 35s. Didn't get my Jeep back until 10:45am, I personally have never been to any shop or dealership with service this inept. Will never be back.

I was in a desperate situation and needed a vehicle for my family and children, so I wasn't thinking as carefully as I should have been. Looking back, I really wish I would have slowed down and compared my options. The first vehicle Blake Hanna brought out for us had the airbags deployed and the seatbelts didn't work. He was asking about my down payment before I had even really gotten a chance to look at the vehicle. Because I was desperate for a car, I was honestly willing to accept what was available to me until I saw the condition that car was in. I just couldn't understand how that was considered okay to put a family in. I eventually purchased a different vehicle that I liked. I put $3,000 down and my payments were still almost $500 a month on a vehicle that was already about 15 years old. I understand that I should have shopped around more and known more as a first time buyer, and I take responsibility for that. But there were other things that happened that really bothered me. The paperwork from the sale says the vehicle had 120,000 miles, but I have a time stamped picture from the same day showing the odometer at approximately 128,000 miles. That's an 8,000 mile difference, and I still have the paperwork and the picture. I also referred my husband to Blake after seeing the advertisements about getting a referral bonus when someone you refer buys a vehicle. When I asked about the referral bonus, I was told I couldn't get it because my husband and I were in the same household. That wasn't something I understood from the advertising, and I had to argue about it for quite a while before I eventually received a $188 referral check. What makes this whole situation even more disappointing is that my husband's experience with Blake was actually really good at first. My husband really liked him and spoke very highly of him. Blake gained his trust and told him that after making his payments on time for a year, he would help him get into a truck. My husband believed him and had been looking forward to that for an entire year. That's actually why I didn't leave this review sooner. I wanted to give Blake the benefit of the doubt. My husband trusted him, and I wanted to see if he would actually keep his word. When that one year mark finally came, my husband was expecting Blake to follow through. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. My husband was genuinely hurt and disappointed, and so was I. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, and I'm sure other people may have had good experiences here. But based on everything that happened to me, from being shown a vehicle with deployed airbags and non-working seatbelts, to the mileage discrepancy, to having to fight for the referral bonus, and then watching my husband put his trust in someone for an entire year only to be disappointed, I personally cannot recommend Blake Hanna. I went into this dealership needing help because I was in a difficult situation. I just wish I would have felt like someone was actually looking out for me instead of feeling like my desperation was being taken advantage of. If you're a first time buyer, my advice is to slow down, inspect everything, verify the mileage, read every piece of paperwork carefully, compare different dealerships, and don't feel like you have to take whatever is put in front of you just because you need a vehicle.

Customer service in the service department has been extremely disappointing…read more I brought in my 2020 Tiguan for an oil‑consumption issue (losing about a quart every 800 miles). I dropped it off on Monday and was told it would be in the shop by Wednesday or Thursday. By Thursday afternoon, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called for an update. They told me it hadn't been looked at yet but would let me know when it was. I asked whether I should make an appointment and was told it wasn't necessary. When I called again Friday, they said it had been in the shop but the technician hadn't finished testing. I never received a single status call or text. When I mentioned I wasn't getting their text updates, they just shrugged. On Monday, they told me my oil was full and therefore there was no oil‑consumption problem. I explained that I had topped it off before bringing it in because I don't drive around low on oil. Only then did they agree to continue testing. After 11 days, they said they found nothing wrong. When I asked about the excessive vacuum at the oil breather cap, they dismissed it as "not a problem." Then they handed me a $170 bill for their "inspection" and tried to upsell me on brakes, a tire rotation, and transaxle fluid service. I declined. Overall, the lack of communication, the dismissive attitude, and the upsell attempt after nearly two weeks without answers were unacceptable.

If there was an option for negative stars, Granite Motors would deserve it…read more We brought our daughter's 2016 Buick (with give or take 75,000 miles) into their service department because the check engine light kept coming on. The service writer told us the turbo was the problem and that it was covered by warranty. We were shocked, so we asked THREE different times if he was certain. Each time, he confidently reassured us it was covered. Based on that guarantee, we agreed to move forward and even requested pricing on additional maintenance. By Monday, after hearing nothing, we called--only to be told: "You're going to be upset with me." Suddenly, the story changed. Now the turbo wasn't covered. The excuse? He "fat-fingered the VIN number." This wasn't a one-time slip-up; it was repeated misinformation given three separate times. That's not just sloppy--it's outright negligence. Even worse, the service manager and dealership manager admitted fault, yet the best they were willing to offer was a measly $230 off labor. Then, instead of making things right, they started avoiding us altogether. At one point, their response was literally: "Well, you're more than welcome to come and get your vehicle as we don't have to do the work." That statement sums up the culture at Granite Motors: zero accountability, zero integrity, and zero respect for customers. They admitted fault and still refused to honor their word. That's not customer service--it's a bait-and-switch backed by arrogance. We will never do business with Granite Motors again, and we strongly urge anyone considering them for sales or service to take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of dealerships who actually stand behind their word. Granite Motors is not one of them.
