Hi, I just wanted to leave a review for one of the maintenance agents, Jonathan. Unfortunately, I can't recall his last name, but I live in South Mesa One, and he has come by many times for house repairs and has always done an excellent job. Last night around 2 a.m., my fire alarms started going off, and my husband was away on training, so I was home alone and couldn't get them to turn off. I called the emergency service line, and they were able to send Jonathan out again. He called and said he'd be there in about an hour, but when I told him the alarms were going off nonstop, he really did get here as quickly as he could and was able to fix the issue for me. I appreciate his help so much. Being home alone in the middle of the night was terrifying, and I was crying and panicking because I have a strong fear of carbon monoxide poisoning and nothing I tried was working. To anyone out there who is thinking about living with Liberty Military Housing, please please please stay away. I promise you can find a better rate off base, not to mention perhaps a landlord that cares more about your safety and wellbeing than the folks who run Liberty Military Housing. The illegal practices and just blatant disregard for service members from this company is disgusting and cruel. How Liberty Military Housing is able to conduct business aboard military installations is beyond me. The sacrifices and grueling commitment service members and their family members give to this nation should be met with equal service, Liberty Military Housing can't even provide the bare minimum. Liberty Military Housing was a nightmare of an experience. If you're reading this review, please know that 0 stars is what this business deserves due to the following: 1. our move in conditions were terrible and I've finally gone over the EDGE to write this because this is our second time with no hot water and it's not urgent enough for them. Take a look at what your 4k in bah goes to. Corroded fire sprinkler system that they only fixed because I complained (fixed a whole week later), a dirty backyard full of random things from prior resident including burnt charcoal, black floors even after they came and "recleaned", and now this is the second time we've had no hot water around night time when we shower. ‼I'm not one to write reviews but military families need to be warned about living on Camp Pendleton in Liberty/Lincoln homes‼ We have been living in a mold filled home for a least a year and have been constantly gaslit/been told that mold is normal to have in your home. My kids and I have been horribly sick constantly. I've been in the er due to my throat closing up from the mold exposure. We were displaced into a temp home for 27 days while they "fixed" the issues and all our mold symptoms went away. When we returned back home, all our symptoms automatically returned despite our home being "visually cleared". Liberty refused to do any mold testing/swab and stated that "their 3rd party vendor had visually cleared the home". We started working with the safe military housing initiave and payed out of pocket to swab the HVAC and send the testing to a lab. Sure enough, it came back with high levels of penicillium and aspergillus in our HVAC. Liberty refused to acknowledge the testing and continued to state there was no mold in the home. We ended up getting my husbands chain of command involved and the government side of housing involved and now we are displaced again while they "fix the issues". We were offered 4 houses to completely move and every single one had visible mold or water damage. DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you want your entire family sick and your husband to not be mission ready due to the constant fights with housing. read more

Well, after living here 10 months, I called to go over our lease renewal. It took multiple calls just to get an inspection walk through, then I was told I'd need to wait for the contract to come through. (I called well before our lease expired!) I call weekly for follow ups. Nothing. "It's waiting for approval." Our lease expires. I come back and decide to give notice, when asked why.... "Our lease expired and no one renewed it." Response was that it was approved and we should have received it. Well, clearly not the case. I spoke with management and expressed that communication and training needs to occur--clearly. And also that a continuity book may be of help. Everyone in that office should have a place they write down questions they've asked and the responses they've received so they don't have to ask it again. (Common sense? I digress.) I have ZERO complaints with the 800 Customer Care line or local maintenance. The problem is solely on the administration here at Camp Pendleton. No matter what you are told, do not rent here. The administration's goal is to attempt to cheat you out of any money they possibly can. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called to say I was terminating my lease and I even got a email back on the same day about it and they told me, yeah you called us a month ago but we didn't tell you, you need a written statement so it didn't count.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You owe us another 2600 dollars even though you said you wanted to cancel. From what I hear they also go over the carpet with a blacklight and try to charge everybody for new carpet if water touches the carpet at any point. They write extra clauses in the leases to charge more money if you try to break the lease. They will advertise one rate on their website and say "flat rate pricing" but if you go to break the lease, they will charge you the full amount of your bah retroactively if you attempt to break the lease on top of a $300 fee. So if you were paying 2600 dollars and break the lease and your bah is 3600 and you break it in the 9th month they want 9000 dollars plus a 300 fee. They won't tell you this when you are signing the contract and will tell you it's just a 300 fee. Then they will write it in small print in one of the 168 pg lease document pages they give you to sign. This whole operation is stealing money from service members. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They will give you the wrong information and mislead you and then charge you money for it, i.e. calling to cancel, i.e. contract clauses, i.e. ridiculous moveout expenses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are bold and knowingly conduct shady practices and try to defend it, instead of acknowledging fault. Don't expect integrity or doing the right thing from this group of people. They will be dishonest if they believe they have opened themselves up to a lawsuit, even though in the end it won't save them. Beware, i recently moved out of base housing and is very disappointed with the charges. They charged us for a whole house carpet replacement for minor water stains that cannot be seen without a black light, the carpet was picked up just to show water stains underneath. The carpet is also 1 year 8 months old which should be deducted. No rips or tears on the carpets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have children, it's impossible to not have any liquid stains on the carpet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We also paid $290 to have the entire carpet cleaned and we have no pets. I honestly think this experience it's unfair for service members to be worrying about paying over $1500 for carpet. Best advice live off base if you can. read more

We lived in Santa margarita for 3 years, it wasn't the best. There is no AC but the 'ocean breeze' is enough to cool you down.. even though you're on top of a mountain so there is no breeze. Durning move in our heater was broken (we moved in during a cold December) which I feel like should have been checked before moving us into the house. I tried 4 separate time for them to change or fix our dishwasher as it didn't clean dishes and they told me to WASH THE DISHES BEFORE USING THE WASHER. We also had a gas leak smell constantly and kept calling them out to check, they tried to tell us it was our cat litter causing the smell (incorrect) and after going crazy I found a pipe behind the washer/dryer that was leaking gas! Water pressure was like getting dribbled on in the rain and hot water was very inconsistent. Don't get me started on the pests, ants constantly and they do nothing to fix it, spraying the outside doesn't help as they are INSIDE of the walls, And mice, everywhere. They wouldn't help with that either and I was the one who found where the mice were coming inside from and fixed the hole in the wall. During the move out inspection they're trying to charge us for gym cards we never had or received and a door that was damaged by previous tenants and noted in our lease that we wouldn't be charged for. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have emailed them regarding this and have not heard back at all. Whoever wants to move into this housing, you will have instant roommates, the mold and moisture. The ventilation makes it feel like static air, creating large pockets for moisture and mold growth. Liberty management has no idea what they are doing maintenance wise, and will be conducting inspections at least once a month. read more

This agency is so dishonest and misleading when they have access to your money. I was expecting them to notify me of a new lease offer and they didn't. When I requested the new offer it took over a month to get it, and my rent went up $600. When I finally received the offer, I gave my 30 day notice and the total time for all that was 3 months. My total BAH was $3900 and I lived in lower enlisted housing, my rent started at $1900, but during the 3 month process they kept all my BAH, an extra $2000 for an apartment with no updates or air conditioning. I only gave them a 1 star because I had to, I would have left it with no stars. read more

Let me first start by saying we've lived on Camp Pendleton for 7 years in the same home and I would give them 0 stars if I had the option. We avoid having communication with housing unless absolutely necessary because it always ends up being a bigger problem. Liberty (previously Lincoln) is an absolutely horrible company. They hire spouses, I assume in an attempt to connect to the life style or make their scamming more acceptable because it is military spouses against military families. From personal experience they are passive aggressive, and are dishonest when attempting to address or "resolve" any issues. They are quick to point out that they are not at fault, ever, for anything. They lie, and scam people out of money daily, it should be ILLEGAL. They provide cheap "fixes" to problems which are recurring. Do not clean thoroughly in between tenants living here. Charge people thousands of dollars at move out and then don't complete the work that they are charging for. (I have never seen one maintenance person power wash anything in 7 years but you charge people $75 per area to the person moving out? Wild). From personal experience they paint over things such as mold, dirt, hair and other debris, enter homes without permission and are honestly just terrible all around. We live here because we have to, and Liberty takes full advantage of that. They make living here absolutely HELL every single chance they get, so I figure why not give them a reason to treat us terribly by writing a review they deserve. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. When we moved out, we had zero charges for damages and rent. They took all my husband's BAH for the rent. Then we received an email over 2 months after move out From housing deciding they wanted to change what we owe them from $0 to $105 for a single day of rent. I lived there for three years. I wish I could find one good review. If I found one, I would not have written this. For my final inspection it had more stuff that they didn't fix. The hollow core door was ok for the walk through as was the 1400 bill items. What a joke. I never missed a single payment. I was renewing my lease when they would not approve one of my sons to stay there. He had passed the review. He never left the house. Never was a problem. He was not allowed to stay so we were going to have to move. The trash bins by the housing maintenance office were full to the brim. With my last load the Maintenance supervisor rushed my car while I was sitting in it. Tried to punch me...yes tried to reach into and grab me. He had to be restrained and actually pushed out of the area by Phillipe one of the workers. I wrote a letter to the housing office but to no avail and no response. The tirade out of his mouth was epic. I really don't think they will or do anything, but I say again this is the first time I have ever written a negative review. I was asked by Liberty to please update my review, so here it is.. as if this one would be better. Their customer service is the worst thing about this company. Previously stated in my last review, we have dealt with a lot since moving in. They have shocked me by the amount problems we had encountered in the short 6 months we have lived here. What I really don't appreciate is that they haven't done anything to compensate us for everything that has happened. Yet, I got an email about 2 weeks ago that they were holding an event and giving away 5,000 worth of prizes and they gave away free Costco pizza to families. They should use that money to make their residents happy. My husband and I have talked to many of our neighbors and they all say the same thing. LMH is awful. I've quickly realized that everyone we have met and talked to in this community is far from happy with this company. I'm not sure how this company is even still on base with the amount of people they have screwed over. So my husband and I have been telling LMH since March 1st we would not be renewing our lease. I asked a district manager in an email if we had to give a notice or simply not sign a new lease. She replied with "simply not sign a new lease". We move out in 12 days and my husband was told by a friend at work we needed to give a 30 day notice. We went to LMH and asked them about it and they said since we didn't give a 30 day notice we have to pay them $1800. Nothing is clear with this company. I SPECIFICALLY asked for a reason. So now they want to take even more money from us for a mistake they made. Also, don't even try to blame anything on them because they will always try to put the blame on you no matter how bad their screw up is. We previously had many conversations with them about how their workers leaving big messes in our house and not picking up. 3 months later we have had around 2 more work orders put in where they are still leaving messes. I don't understand how a company can screw up so many times and still get away with it. All i know is since posting my other review i have received many messages from people asking if they should live here and i told them absolutely not. We received this notice regarding a tarp on our patio, that was written on the company letterhead. But take a look at the contact number on the bottom. It's a completely invalid number. The address is a warehouse not that far from the Mexican border and the zip code is an Inglewood, CA zip code. I tried contacting the office and they keep telling me that the manager and assistant manager are in conference calls all day. When I called the regional office they finally told me that the manager would give me a call. Which she did...on that call she told me that she would be sending me an email with a copy of my lease showing where it says we cannot have a tarp on our patio. As well as approving us to have an umbrella on the patio to help with the sun, since the house does not have AC. However, I have yet to receive an email. They won't leave you alone! & then when you want them to leave you alone, housing tells you that it's perfectly safe to live in your home but your neighboring home can't be rented out due to conditions in YOUR home.. the one you're living in but your neighbors wouldn't be? But wait.. when this house doesn't work for you, they'll move you to an even crappier home that they didn't fix before giving to you and look! More fun guys Make sure you don't have a crack in your counter that's almost impossible for you to cause yourself, or they'll try to charge you $3500 to replace the entire thing! But then waive the fee "as a courtesy to the family" to make it look like they're doing something for you. You'll have employees wanting to make your life miserable and will do everything in their power they can to make it happen.. even if that means so much stress you lose your first pregnancy, that's okay because Lincoln doesn't care. But it doesn't stop! When you decide to live a better life and terminate your lease with them, you'll still drive through Lincoln territory at times, but you'll still have to watch out for those employees because they'll drive by you and give you the nastiest looks they've ever given because they couldn't make us back down. My best friends also had mold and mice in their homes, have moved to a new neighborhood and now their entire wall is ripped out from water intrusion -10/10 recommend (that's a negative 10) live in a cardboard box before you decide to apply with them. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I rarely write reviews. Only if it's something really amazing or terrible. We recently had our pre inspection to move out of Lincoln military housing and we only have carpet in our 3 upstairs bedrooms and hallway. We have never even wore shoes upstairs to make sure it stayed spotless. There are 4 small stains total on the carpet and somehow they quoted us $657 to clean or replace it. There is no way that our carpet should even be replaced!!! We had one TINY tear in our vinyl floor that rips very easily, as they said it does, and it is somehow $114 to replace a rip as small as a quarter! The staff we are dealing with are extremely rude and unbearable to work with. They will probably see this review and make matters worse for us, and laugh about it, but I don't even care everyone should know about this. I wish I could give this 0 stars. STAY AWAY at all costs, nothing is worth this. They know how much money the service member makes and they still are screwing over families left and right. Also, my husband called to talk to the manager and they told him she was out for the day but he walked to the housing office 5 minutes later and there she was, just sitting there. They are sarcastic liars and treat their residents poorly. If you ever live in Lincoln military housing make sure you have renters insurance as this happens too often and it is not brought to attention enough. I attached the picture of the tiny hole of the vinyl that's going to cost $114 to replace. Absolutely ridiculous. ALSO our freezer doesn't hold temperature, all of our things are constantly freezer burnt. The heater doesn't stay at one temperature and it makes a funny noise when turned to 'on' instead of auto and it has a funny smell but Maintenace said it's fine. My first base housing experience has been awful. We are very clean people. And yet we have a huge bug problem. It's not only me. My neighbors deal with MICE, CARPET BEETLES,TERMITES,SILVERFISH and ROACHES. if you are thinking about living off base , go that route. Not only does maintenance not fix my problem , there have been run ins where they enter a home without permission. The pest control company comes then pushes off the date after we have to bag up our entire house. The housing office staff in Stuart Mesa/Edson district are very rude. (Except one or two) . This is getting out of hand. Also with the constant power and water outages. I can't keep up. Now I know to have low expectations at our next duty station. Decent housing if you have really no other options and don't mind not having air conditioning. Stayed here 6 months on a half-year lease, aside from dogs barking 24/7 and poor maintenance on community areas and trails between the houses. On many occurrences power outages and flooding in 1/3 of the Santa Margarita housing area. The pool and parks are nice as well as tennis courts, however here recently there were break-ins and car thefts so it would be advised to watch little ones at all times. Side note: staff is not helpful with getting out of a lease for deployments, I wasted 3 work days trying to get out of a contract for my upcoming deployment, causing myself and pregnant spouse a lot of stress. Since I've moved in San O II, the maintenance team has been A+! They all have a sense of humor, they get the job done, and they go above and beyond of what's expected. Why not a 5-star rating, you ask? It is kinda dirty. They really only clean the carpets, before you move in. (Or at least, that's how it seems) You'll DEFINITELY have to deep-clean the house. Honestly wish I could give no stars in regards to rating this company because when it comes down to trying to get maintenance for a home when you're 38 weeks pregnant and you had a request in for almost a month for water damage and they're taking their sweet time trying to fix the issue but always giving excuses It's pretty sad I've had holes in my ceiling for a week now and their excuses oh the drywall isn't dry or the pipes aren't dry but they've had a humidifier in the middle of my dining room kitchen area for a week "drying "the water damage when the whole panel of drywall needed to be replaced and they did a poor job cutting out the supposed water damage even though it's still clear as day that there's still water damage I've tried contacting management have been ignored by them and also ignored by the district manager I had to get my command involved and now I am sitting here due any day with my house looking like a construction sight. To top it off they have no integrity they lie saying that they called me and my husband before and we had not responded but when we missed a phone call from anybody we called him back and we've immediately called him back if we have missed calls from them or we've responded very quickly via email phone call and text message and they can't even get back to us read more

Animals and pets have better living experience here!!! Parking is over crowded & landscaper have no regard for your vehicle or personal property while working. Maintenance workers show up smelling like alcohol an walk through your house with no shoes cover tracking in all the dog shit left all over the grass. During this heat wave, pools are closed!!! Only open in the summers? No Air Conditioning!! There are kid parks, plenty but they're all cover in dog hair an dog shit. First an Last!! Don't come!!They only real concern is your money, even the staff doesn't last. Don't rely on their word because they're snakes. I would rate -5 stars if possible... let's get to the point. OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS TRUSTING LINCOLN TO ACTUALLY BE A DECENT HOUSING COMPANY. If we had the option to live in a box on Oceanside Blvd, I would choose that over Base Housing ANY DAY. They've screwed us out of HUNDREDS of dollars, continuing to charge us for things that was always wrong with our house when we moved in. They will over charge you on your electrical bill and force you to pay before you move out. We've tried everything with this company and there is no winning... they screw military families and steal money out of their pockets with no shame. They will act unprofessional, scream at you, call you a cunt on the phone, then expect you to "apologize" to them for simply asking for a rescheduled appointment so you can move out of your shitty over priced house. I have never in my life had so much dislike towards a company. Please... military families, MOVE OFF BASE before you throw your BAH in the trash with this company. We deserve so much better, we sacrifice so much and they just want to make our lives hell. I wish I would've listened when I was told moving on base was a huge mistake. I'm genuinely so sick and tired of Lincoln Military Housing. For a month now, I've been calling their customer care line to set up a payment plan for the BULLSHIT $1,187 bill we owe. For a month, I've gotten voicemail after voicemail. And NOW, they want to take us to collections? I've BEEN trying to pay you fucking morons. Money you shouldn't even rightfully get after putting my family in the fucking ER. Taking a transitioning family to collections because you're too incompetent to answer a damn phone or return a fucking phone call is not the fucking move. read more
