This company is all around great!!!!! They have the nicest down to earth plumbers. They tried everything they could to get our old pump working again. Liberty Plumbing was fantastic! I needed a pressure reduction valve replaced. I got estimates from other local plumbers and most were quoted super high, double what I was expecting. Liberty gave me a fair estimate. Scheduled for first thing the next morning. Sent someone up from Anthem to Flagstaff to do the job. Alonzo was the tech. He showed right on time and was polite and helpful with my questions. He did a great job and i was incredibly pleased with the whole experience. Hector was supposed to be here at 3 PM on the schedule day, he showed up before 8 AM and knocked on my door! I did not answer, and waited for an hour, until 4 PM, for him to return to the appointment. He spent 30 minutes, evaluating my problem and inform me that it was not plumbing issue. I have been charged $155 for this! That is a ridiculous amount of money to have no work done in 30 minutes invested. I also don't appreciate my time being wasted by waiting for an hour. Will not use them or recommend them. read more

They still haven't even taken 1 minute of their time to reach back out to me and make the repairs right. I ended up having to pay a contractor to drywall their horrible cuts into the wall. He said this is the first time he's seen such sloppy and careless work from a plumbing company and advised me to reach out to the city and file a formal complaint so they can't take advantage of other people like this again. read more

I called because this company was in the Anthem local business directory. I had a major plumbing emergency with a house full of guests, and received a call back from Bill who was very put out that I called. Evidently I was disturbing his Sunday evening, and he hung up on me claiming I had attitude. Then someone named Ted called me back and said his Tech would be calling me back, and Bill called again. His attitude didn't change, and was very put out that I was calling. I told him I gave his company a chance because he was local to my area, but I wouldn't give this company my business after this experience. I had a water heater problem where the water was getting way too hot no matter what the temperature was set for. I called these guys based on a referral from our homeschool group where they said that Liberty was fair and honest. Well, they were more than fair and honest. They checked on my warranty for me and went ahead and gave me the warranty when they couldn't get through on the phone lines. They had to call me back a few times and each time they said they would call me back, they did. Imagine that! They were able to come out early and they called ahead to make sure it was ok and then they were here within about 15 minutes after that call. Joe was very professional and helpful and took time to explain things to me. And the price was very fair especially considering they went ahead and covered the parts under the manufacturer's warranty. This company was a real pleasure to deal with, a far too rare occurrence in today's age. I will definitely be calling them again for any future needs. read more

I am extremely disappointed with this company. They were recommended to us by family and had a great rating with the BBB. However, I can not help but feel completely ripped off. Liberty came out to our house to replace our guest bathroom's shower cartridge. The gentleman that completed the repair was here all but 5-10 minutes at the most and proceeded to charge me $185 for the cost of parts and labor. In shock I said, "Wow, that is much more expensive then I was expecting." The workman proceeded to say, "I am sorry that you feel that way, but the cost includes my workmanship and a year warranty on the part." So, I filled out the check and he went on his way. I later called Liberty seeking clarification on the work done and was informed that the flat fee for coming out was $135 and that the cartridge cost $50. How can any company get away with charging $135 for 10 minutes of work? That translates to $13.50/minute which would = $810/hr. I am sorry but that should be fraud. Additionally, upon my research I found that I could have done this job myself and paid $40 at the store for the item. When I brought this up to the gentleman at Liberty, he informed me that the cartridges I would get at the store are not up to par with the ones liberty gets which is why they are more expensive... what a joke. In hindsight, I should have inquired about the cost for the job before they came out for the repair. So in some ways I have myself to blame. However, if you are interested in potentially using this company, be aware of there high hourly rate (which doesn't depend on the type of work being done). There are other plumbing companies in the valley that charge only $45-$65/hour or a handyman that will charge $20/hour who can easily replace a silly shower cartridge and who have a lot more integrity then this business. Don't make the same mistake I did and regret the almost $200 repair spent on something so simple. read more

They came out to unclog my washing machine standpipe drain arriving very quickly. When the technician failed to resolve the problem, he told me the company would be sending out a specialist to tackle the problem. First red flag. About an hour and one half later than promised by the dispatcher, Ted, who rebuked me for sending text message as to his whereabouts, the 'specialist', Eddie, pulled up in a regular white pickup truck- no markings. Second red flag. When I started to ask him questions, he fast talked about how he knew what needed to be done, assuring me you have to go through the rooftop vent pipe instead of the clean out in order to clear the clog. I asked him whey the last service tech was able to clear the clog via the clean out. He said ' I don't know anything about that'. At that point, I said 'we're not going to do this' and without a word, pulled the extension cord off the roof and marched out through the gate to his truck and drove off. I later spoke with the owner, Tom Ford, who admitted that Eddie and the plain white truck looked 'horrible' but said that he was THE EXPERT at unclogging drains in the valley and that every big company, including Parker & Sons uses him when they encounter a clogged drain they can't handle. Third red flag. My feeling is that this company might be able to handle very routine plumbing situations and that is all, so be advised in advance! They didn't ask for and I didn't pay them anything. read more

Quoted a price that supposedly "includes EVERYTHING" yet when the time comes to write the check (because they don't accept credit cards!) its $100 more. Long story short: My parents bought a house 6 months ago and bought a home warranty plan along with it. The water heater went out on a Friday. Dad called the warranty company and they sent out a horrible plumber on Monday (3 days without hot water!) that said that the unit needs to be replaced. The replacement and labor are covered under the warranty but the modifications that need to be done ($400) are not covered. I found out the water heater was 4 years old and contacted the manufacturer to see if it was still covered under their warranty. The manufacturer got me in touch with a local dealer that in turn recommended Liberty to do the replacement under warranty. Boy were we lucky!!!! I spoke with Jennifer close to 4pm and she managed to secure the delivery of the new heater the NEXT MORNING. She also said her tech Eli will be there by 12 or sooner after the delivery to install it. She was also very helpful answering all my questions and concerns. Tuesday morning the tank was delivered and Eli called and showed up by 9AM! AND Jennifer called my mom to make sure everything was going fine!! Talk about above and BEYOND customer service! And my mom was thrilled with how professional Eli and Jennifer were. People and companies like these restore my faith that there are still good people out there that really do care and aren't just trying to scam extra money wherever they can. I'm glad to know that my whole family now has a trusted plumber to call anytime. read more

Liberty Plumbing has come to our rescue a number of times since buying our home. When our water heating began leaking, my wife and I called a few plumbers in the area looking for someone to help us. Tom was very thorough when advising us on water heaters and his recommendations. He was never pushy and had someone out the next day. I later needed Liberty Plumbing again when I noticed a leak behind my dishwasher. Again, problem was solved and work was excellent. No more leaks. My family and I recently moved and this time we had an emergency on a Saturday night. I was changing our our washer and dryer and the pipe broke as we tried to switch out the hoses. Again, these guys came through and took care of us when they could have easily waited until the next day given it was Saturday night. I have used Liberty Plumbing to install a water softener and on two occassions called with an issue: One was for a problem with the well water pump and the other with plumbing - water backup problem. In both instances i was given free advice. The first, they came out and inspected the problem and recommended that i call a well company specialist becuase they were not experts with wells. The other - they told me over the phone they could snake the septic system but that if it needed to be pumped I would have to call a Septic company. They could have come out and charged $135 for snake service and then if it didnt work say that it had to be pumped. Instead sound advice which earned them no money. read more
