Yesterday our furnace stopped working. We're a couple of octogenarians and are fighting a particularly nasty respiratory virus, and were concerned about the prospect of no heat for any length of time. Intermountain was able to get someone out in less than four hours. Matt quickly found the problem (a faulty igniter) and explained what needed to be done and what the cost would be. He was very courteous and professional. Two hours later we had heat. What's more, the cost seemed reasonable. I can't say enough good about my experience with Intermountain. We have used this company exclusively for the almost 8 years we've owned our present house. We have had to wait a little while for maintenance type service but that was not a problem. This summer we put in for emergency service due to our water heater not heating water. My husband called and was told they only had one technician that could service a hydronic system and he was loaned to other companies and that we would receive call back for service. He was told the same after a second call for service. IT's September 29 THEY NEVER CALLED. read more

If Demarcus from Intermountain shows up, cancel your service. He told me what the problem was(turns out he was completely wrong) and that he wouldn't be able to help me. I asked him how he came to that conclusion. He became frustrated and arrogant. Claiming that he has 8 years experience. If I had followed Demarcus's advice, I would have wasted time and spent thousands of dollars to not fix the problem. I had two landscapers working on my house rent a snake from Home Depot and they cleared the clog in 4 minutes. Clog was nowhere near where Demarcus 100% guaranteed the problem was. read more

The refuse to talk to me to discuss my issue unless I make a required appointment so they can charge me a diagnostic fee. I wanted to know what my options and don't need a diagnostic. Once I refused to make an appointment the receptionist says to me "our schedule is very busy and we don't have time right now". She said this right after trying to schedule an appointment, how convenient. Terrible service. read more

I asked through email and phone calls six times for an estimate to replace my HVAC system, but they would not respond to me. I have used them to check my systems in the past, but they still would not respond. Terrible service. What kind of a company just won't respond. If they didn't want the job, the professional thing would have been to respond with that. read more

These folks are awesome. Called them at 730 AM on Friday with a water heater problem in a rental. Because of confined space it appeared to be a two day job. They were booked Friday but said they would do it on Saturday (overtime), but might not be able to finish it until Monday. We and tenants agreed. It turned out they came Friday around 10 AM and got new water heater in and working by 530! They have a few items to finish up on Saturday, but what amazing service! Last June the tenant in my Flagstaff rental house informed me that the water heater had stopped working and that there was a leak present. It was a Thursday and 3 plumbers told me that they probably couldn't get to it until the following week, not to mention, they refused to work with home warranty insurance. I was a little panicked thinking I should offer my tenant a hotel stay and I would have to pay for the repairs despite having paid for a home warranty policy that is supposed to cover this repair. Fortunately, the home warranty company heard my pleas and agreed to reimburse me for the repairs if they approved it after the fact rather than their normal course of action. Guardian angels connected me with Vanessa at Intermountain Plumbing & Mechanical who is so sharp and so kind. She arranged for a technician who was working in the area the next day to come by and assess the situation. By the description from my tenant, I was expecting to have to replace the water heater, so she checked to see if they would have the appropriate type of heater available just in case. Technician came by, assessed, went to get a couple of supply items and returned to repair the leak and get the heater working well the same afternoon!! The invoice, which I paid, was completely reasonable as well. Fast forward two months and home warranty company has not reimbursed me, hasn't even seen the invoice that I emailed to the representative that I had spoken with...turns out I was supposed to send it to their "authorization" department instead (but she didn't forward it to ANYONE). Home warranty now says they want me to show them proof of payment as well. I call Vanessa and she knows exactly who I am, brings up my file and sends me a copy of the "Paid" invoice as well as a copy of my payment method...within seconds after I hang up the phone...and she is one of the nicest and most professional people on the service force that I have dealt with in months. We had been planning some plumbing work for awhile and had some major issues getting a company out to our house to actually do the work. We wanted to do 4 new toilets, replace a disposal and fix a leaking hose bib that was running our water bill out of control. After getting the run around from another local company for weeks, I was referred to Intermountian. Best thing that could of happened. They came out, looked at what we were requesting to have done, gave me an estimate the next day, scheduled the service and appt to do repairs and then showed up early to do the work. The two technicians completed the entire job in one day! We had a small problem with one thing and called the office, They came out the next day and fixed the issue, no questions asked. The quote I was given was exactly what i was charged for the work. None of the "its gonna be more because of this" stuff you always hear about. Had an air conditioner installed last fall and it has been running great this summer. There was no charge for the estimate and they were able to install the AC while keeping the existing furnace. Before finding Intermountain I got a quote from Your Plumber who charged for the estimate and told me that the heater would need to be replaced; their estimate was double. Another review mentions a positive experience with Vanessa. We worked with her and she has been wonderful with us as well. If you need an AC, I can't imagine using anyone else. read more

This review is to share my positive experience and recommendation for Intermountain Mechanical LLC. In October, 2016 I purchased a new AC unit for a second home in Flagstaff in the Country Club. Dave, who was strongly recommended to me by my brother, did an outstanding job of evaluating my needs, quoting a competitive price and have a flawless installation. This review is a result of the start up call completed in mid June 2017 for my new unit. I called and spoke to Stacy to schedule the appointment. Stacy was friendly, professional and helpful in arranging the day and time. Due to a "heat wave" during mid June, the techs for Intermountain were stressed in responding to emergency calls. Stacy contacted me to keep up apprised of time and requested, if convenient, a rescheduled time due to the nature of the volume of work under way. I did not need mu unit, I was merely waiting for start up so this was no problem. Stacy was friendly, caring and professional and updated me daily during the period prior to my service call. She legitimately cared about the level of service I received and her concern and professionalism reflect the high standards of performance and work of Intermountain. I live in an old house in downtown Flagstaff and have an extremely old heater. I must have called at least 5-7 different companies around town in order to get my in-ground ancient heater working again. Every company told me that they wouldn't work on it and tried to get me to look into a new heating system. Then I called InterMountain Mechanical LLC... Not only did they tell me they could do the job, they told me they'd be over in ten minutes. Moises and Perry came over in ten minutes like they said, they were extremely nice and super informative about what I was dealing with. They had to go underneath my house in the crawl space to get the job done and it took about a two hours but they got it all finished and my heater is back in business!
