I met Dan back in 2008/9ish on a recommendation from a friend who had pieces by Dan. I sat in the chair with Dan for a few hours and was extremely happy. I followed Dan to Liberty when he decided to open up his new shop and I have gotten 95% of my tattoos from Liberty artists since then. There's a lot to consider when you choose a tattoo shop and artist, you also have to look at both together. Liberty meets and surpasses the expectations on the total package when it comes to the tattoo experience. Liberty delivers a traditional and professional experience in an industry where tradition is hard to find. The artists have earned their seat at the table (metaphorically speaking) and the tattoos they make are the proof. I have personally witnessed multiple periods of time when Liberty was looking for new artists and the process was far from a first come first serve desperation search. From the first interaction going over designs and ideas, you notice the professionalism and pride in your artist. Once it's time to get in the chair, you witness firsthand the cleanliness your artist maintains from setup to breakdown. The artists at Liberty are extremely talented and the tattoos they create are of many different styles but one thing is constant, they do top notch work. After more than 16 years and over 50 hours in tattoo chairs at Liberty I still continue to recommend friends and family as well as go back myself, I even took my Mom to Liberty for her first tattoo. My Niece had her ears pierced by Val when she was a baby. As soon as we come back from vacation next week my wife and I are headed in for our next tattoos. A few years back, my mother and i wanted to get matching tattoos. It was my second tattoo (the first one i also got here) and it was her first tattoo. My mother, who was in her late 50s at that time, was absolutely blown away by the cleanliness and professionalism at this tattoo parlor. For weeks following getting her first tattoo, she told all of her friends how this place was not at all like the "typical dirty tattoo shop" that she had imagined, but instead how the staff were extremely professional and the parlor itself was cleaner than a dentist' office. I went to this tattoo shop about a month ago around 8pm, walked in and everyone was busy with a customer which I have no problem, I walked around the shop for about 25-30 mins and not one person looked towards my way or even bothered to say hi or let me know that they would be right with me if I had a question as if I wasn't going to spend money, I felt like I was racially profiled because I'm Spanish and no one bothered to attend to me for nothing, will not be recommending this place or even go back for nothing because it was a complete waste of time. I have eight tattoos and four of them are from Chris Harris. Many people know him from the clover on his face. Since I've gotten the first one from him [a bird on my foot], I've gone to him for the last few that I've had done. He makes getting tattoos a good time, since you know, they aren't the most comfortable haha. He will help you come up with ideas for your next piece and even draw them up to put them into perspective. He is just really talented and his lines are clean. I highly recommend paying him a visit. As for Liberty Tattoo Company, I don't really know the other artists personally but of course, being the creep I am, I follow them on instagram to see their work. It's all amazing. Well that was very disappointing :/ I don't know what happened, I came here last Monday and we discussed adding two more hearts with white ink a medium and a smaller one, now one week later I come in (made an appointment last week) so today the guy (Adam) was like moody or something, seemed aggravated. He told me he already said no one would do it in white ink with an attitude . It's a simple tattoo plus I don't want it any other color cause I like it when it fades away and it looks dainty and delicate, almost like it was branded in my skin. I mean he agreed a week ago and I was gonna pay $100 for him to retouch my small white heart and add two more hearts smaller or one bigger and one smaller than what I already have, after he sketched it several times not the way I asked, and I wasn't liking the sketch or his attitude plus I was already annoyed at his attitude towards me. I told him too if he doesn't want to do it it's ok I rather someone profesional that wants to do his job to do it. So ok I get it you don't want to do it then you should have said NO and that would have been the end of it. I'm just annoyed I filled out my info and stuff :/ I seriously wouldn't have wasted his time or mine. Will NEVER EVER come back to this place. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I got my tragus pierced here by Val. I informed her I was allergic to certain metals and she still pierced me with one I was allergic to. She not only just shoved the needle through without showing me the placement first, but she didn't even bother to explain the after care and how to take care of it. I then had to go somewhere else to get it taken care of, which I then found out that this place uses jewelry they purchase for 9 CENTS, and sell at a retail of $40-$90. They're more concerned about profit rather than the safety of their customers. I spoke to the owner who refused to refund me, and was very unprofessional in which he was yelling at me on the phone.
