The Oregon Grille. I'm not really sure where to start. Lol, we are foodies and it's hard not to love going here. Pricey, but worth every penny we spent! For us, this is reserved for a special occasion. We decided to go for our 45th wedding anniversary which was in a very cold January. We were seated all the way upstairs. I noticed that someone said they went through the kitchen and that's not true. The kitchen is off an area on the way upstairs. You see it, but I've seen food being cooked at my local Carrabba's....didn't affect us in the least. The upstairs was definitely more peaceful than downstairs which is pretty loud. If you are celebrating something, I'd be sure to let them know if you are expecting a more peaceful experience. It's a lively atmosphere in most areas of the restaurant. As for the dining, in a word it was stellar. We were not disappointed. Our waiter was amazing and everything was timed perfectly. We really enjoyed all the dishes were were served. I only wish I would have known they were giving us dessert. Wouldn't have bought but one more as the hubby is gluten free. We truly enjoyed our dinners and hope to return over the summer! read more

Service...wonderful staff! Attentive and nice and so knowledgeable. Decor was stunning. Loved all the paintings and fabrics. Lamb chops... They're a joke and almost upsetting. Who plates a (really small) $60 rack of lamb onto a huge plate with nothing else?! I mean nothing! No sauce, no side, no greens. It's almost insulting. There was this weird marble sized pickled onion. So weird and makes no sense. You have to order a sauce ranging from 4-12 dollars. Order a "side" you're talking another 15. It's ridiculous. It's the same for all their meat dishes. Pay 200 for a steak and don't even get a salad or a side. I think it's horrible. read more

My opinion of this restaurant just took a hit because they are using AI to answer their calls. I know they have other things to do, but it's so impersonal, and they are not fooling anyone. Plus, when I was put through to the restaurant, NO ONE ANSWERED at 2:10 PM on a Friday. I had to leave a message. BTW, the food is OK, but there are not many options for those of us with dairy allergies. I ended up cancelling our reservation and going to Linwood's in Owings Mills instead. read more

I've had lunch at the Oregon Grille twice in the last couple of months and while it's almost good, it just always falls a little short to me. I sat at the bar both times, with my book and ordered a glass of wine and a meal. The first time I had their Tenderloin Steak Salad (cherry tomato, roasted peppers, aged cheddar, and cipollini onion). It was a little overdressed and I didn't think the steak was very tender, but it was a pretty good salad. The following visit (just this week), I had their frontier bison burger (goat cheese, red wine whole grain mustard, and caramelized onions) with fries, which was pretty good. The service even though seated at the bar was a little inattentive both visits. The last time I visited, no one was at the hostess stand. I waited around but no one came for several minutes, so I just walked in to the bar on my own (you don't need to be seated by the host if you're eating at the bar). Located in a 19th century farmhouse but beautifully renovated, this Atlas Group restaurant is gorgeous. But I have found that the food and service doesn't quite live up to the beauty of the space. read more

Talk about a fantastic happy hour. Four of us decided on Oregon Grille to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had heard they offer some of their typical dishes for less cost on the happy hour menu in the bar area. Luckily, we were able to get a table since this happy hour seems to be very popular for good reason. I hadn't been to the OG since Atlas took it over but had been hearing good things. It did not disappoint. Our server was a bit dismissive and serious, but the food was phenomenal. The chips and dip, Caesar salad, potato skins with caviar, steak frites, Angus burger and French onion soup were all delicious and ridiculously inexpensive. Same portion sizes as the regular menu but half the price. Great cocktails, too. They even brought out a piece of birthday cake for my friend which made the experience even better. Cute bar area. We routinely come here on Sundays for happy hour and I usually order a Don Julio Reposado margarita. To my surprise, this time the check came and I was charged $25 for that margarita -- during happy hour! Normally margaritas are $12, and we were told only certain spirits are $8 and classic cocktails are an additional $2. But how does that add up to $25 for one drink? It makes no sense. The food is great, no complaints there, but the cocktail pricing and happy hour structure definitely need to be rethought. Did everyone call out sick? We arrived and waited 10 min to be seated- the restaurant was empty; the check-in lady was overwhelmed and didn't even acknowledge us. Our server said she would provide us with "the best service" and that definitely didn't happen. We had to ask twice for bread and then it came cold. Everything took forever. Worst of all it was mid November and the same kid that had been doing valet all evening had been outside since 4:30 with NO HEATER - while there were plenty of lit gas heaters going on the unused patio. Service is top notch with servers walking around to refill waters, plates and cutlery turned over in between courses, and our server, Jordan, was super knowledgeable! We got the bone marrow and octopus for starters. Bone Marrow was PHENOMENAL- had bread crumbs and served w/ grilled bread, we are still talking about it. The one star is knocked off for the octopus, it was grilled well and flavors were great but it was cold. I asked our server and he confirmed it should've been hot, no big deal but at this price point everything should be perfect. We ate it and enjoyed. Got cocktails and steaks with broccolini for dinner, all were delicious and cooked perfectly. I got a special cut they had - ribeye cap/spinalis, never heard of it but wow - if they still have this, definitely get it! Super buttery and incredible crust. I have visited the Oregon Grille twice recently and have had good experiences. The first time for lunch and the second one for dinner. Lunch: we sat outside during a weekday and the ambiance was nice; our food was delicious. The service was a bit slow here and there but overall okay. Dinner: we sat inside on a Saturday night, there was a piano player; It was so loud we could not really have conversation. Our service was very slow (it was okay since we wanted to have good conversation), but our server was nice. We did order appetizers but never got them. Once we were served our entrees, we realize we never received the appetizers. My salmon was well cooked, but my husband ordered medium steak and received a very rare piece of meat (which can be off putting to someone who likes their meat cooked). The lobster Mac and cheese had good taste, but barely any lobster (we paid $25!). Our server had an incredible comeback by bringing delicious desserts to make up for not bringing the appetizers. Overall I liked the restaurant but it has to do some fine tuning to the way they manage the appetizers, temperature of the meat, and noise level inside. Looking forward to returning. read more

I visited the Oregon Grille for my birthday dinner and we had a lovely experience. It's a traditional steakhouse with an old time cozy feel. There was low lighting and we were seated near a fireplace. The restaurant is nice for dates, dinner parties, etc. they have a large space. For a weekend, I would recommend a reservation. We ordered the roasted bone marrow as an appetizer and it was delicious and full of flavor. The dry aged bison Ribeye was cooked very well, it wasnt as you would expect a normal beef ribeye to be but was filling. Worth trying if you're looking for something different. Was so excited to go as this was our first time there since it is owned by Atlas group with my two friends to celebrate my friend's remission from an illness. The restaurant's ambience is beautiful and we had such a fun time being together. The service was fantastic, the food on the other hand was lacking. My 2 friends ordered the French onion soup, beautiful presentation but cheese was very hard on top, very disappointing. I ordered the grilled octopus it was overcooked and could even eat some of the pieces as there were hard as a rock. Also the apples and radishes on top were extremely covered in a spice , not good. We also got the crab omelet. That was good. They were kind enough to give us a dessert small pice of cake, to share for our celebration but unfortunately we couldn't eat it as it was stale and hard as a rock. Visited the newly re-opened Oregon Grille with a friend for happy hour on a Friday! The bar is pretty small and happy hour is only offered at the bar. HH starts at 4 - I walked into the restaurant at 4:05 and got the last two seats at the bar! People were hovering for seats pretty shortly after. They had decent HH specials (food and drink). My friend and I shared the potato wedges with caviar and each got the Roseda burger and Caesar salad. The food was mostly just okay. The burger was good but overcooked - which made me think about how much better it would be if it had been properly cooked! Overall a nice place for a more upscale happy hour. First impression is wow, beautiful atmosphere especially for the holiday season! The lovemore is a delicious cocktail! I had that followed by Oysters and broiled quail. Both delicious, especially the mignonette for the oysters. For dinner we picked the duck breast and salmon and wow. Chef cooked the salmon for me medium rare and I must say it was one of the best pieces of salmon I've ever had. I will definitely be making another trip back there. Food choices were new with seafood appetizers both cold And hot. We tried the potato skins with caviar and cream appetizer. If I could give this 7 stars, I would. Our experience was top tier from start to finish. We had a reservation and it was very busy (which was such a nice sight to see for a wednesday!) and they told us it would just be a few minutes. We were so happy to wait just a few moments; but, they then proceeded to bend over backwards to accommodate us for the wait and sat us at the caviar bar. We had a martini there and within our first few sips had our table ready for us. Our server was incredible. Jayden was nothing but well informed, polite & friendly. Nothing was missing from our table at any point. The food was exceptional! They even took the liberty of pairing and timing our dishes in a way the flavors complimented each other. Chris, the manager stopped and introduced himself and made sure everything was going well. He was an absolute gem. We will definitely be returning and I cannot recommend this location enough! We had a lovely birthday dinner at the Oregon Grille and I recommend it highly, especially for a celebratory event because it is a romantic and lively atmosphere. Our servers were Jayden to begin with and later Natalie. Both were excellent: professional, accommodating, knowledgable about the menu, and just plain ol' sweet! The piano man, Jordan Mills, was obviously classically trained, but played songs we all knew (and even played Stevie Wonder and Billy Joel for me!). Our crab cakes were very good. It was so loud that the waitress was practically yelling, and you couldn't hear the poor piano player guy for a majority of the night. The overall service was unimpressive, especially for what you pay, as there was a lot of dead time where we were wondering when we would be able to actually order our food, and then when it would come. Eventually the waitress finally came around and told us that the kitchen was "running a bit slow, but don't worry, they're plating your food now!" But in reality it didn't come out until a bit later. Food: Beef tartare: 1.5/5, not good at all. Was extremely disappointed in this. The jalepeño just did not work, and the chips were mediocre. This needs some major work. Burrata salad: 3/5 mediocre, honestly underwhelming. Too much cheese, not enough greens. Mac & cheese: 3.5/5, too grainy, you can feel the grittiness in the cheese that makes it strange. The cheese is almost like mashed potato consistency. Lobster in it is great, but they are very skimpy with it. Would not order again. Roasted chicken: 4.3/5, exactly what I was hoping for, delicious juicy chicken. Can't go wrong with this. Lobster Tagliatelle: 4.6/5, best thing I tried. My husband made reservations here for our anniversary and mentioned that he forgot our anniversary last year, and the management and servers went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful meal. They had a few thoughtful surprises for us that really made our night special. The food was very good; I started with a shrimp cocktail and had a filet mignon with creamed spinach and corn pudding for dinner. The sides were large enough to share. The signature cocktails were strong (thank you) and delicious, and the desserts were delicious as well. It's an upscale restaurant, but I didn't feel out of place even though this was a very rare night out for us. We used to eat here for special date nights before Atlas group took over. We were worried about the change but have been so pleasantly surprised. While it's definitely pricey, it's well worth it for a special date night. We had great service and some of the best food we have had, ever. We loved it so much we went back just a couple of months later for another special date night. My husband is obsessed with the Spinalis steak. I just got a filet both times and was very happy. I'm glad I've come back a few times and given it a chance to really iron out all of its kinks from the day it opened (bc we went early on). The service is outstanding! And the food is even better! Service/staff: Im on crutches at the moment and the staff was over the top with accommodations and making sure I got a spot that was comfortable for my straight leg brace. Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu. He refilled my drink promptly (even though I'm only drinking soda at the moment). Our food came out promptly. And when I asked if it was "normal" for the chicken to look a little pink, without blinking an eye, the waiter said "you can eat it like that, but I'll cook it more for you. I wouldn't like that either." And he came back with a new one. And was as pleasant as can be. How refreshing?! The food: The bread seemed good, but my husband didn't love the chive butter on top. I'd recommend asking for it on the side. We started with the hamachi crudo - it was awesome. It had a mix of salt and pear and jalapeño. We asked for the soju on the side, but it was apparently amazing. We got potato skins which were sooo good and crispy- perfectly salted. Yum. The dish comes with a small side of caviar which I didn't try, but the horseradish accompaniment was perfect. We both got the chicken as our entree which was cooked in a jus which was beyond amazing. I've never seen a dish like it. It was over a bed of "cabbage" which I put in quotes bc it was anything but cabbage tasting. It was actually cooked in chicken drippings with pieces of chicken, so it tasted more like a stir fry. It was like a heavy and filling dish but light if you don't eat the whole thing? I took some chicken home, but ate the cabbage because it was so damn good. So filling and I was too full to entertain the idea of dessert. The ambiance: Restaurants don't come prettier than this one. The parking: F. Fail. We arrived and there were zero spots available, so we just posted up and waited for someone to come out so we could get their spot (around 715pm). It's a small lot. I'm guessing it doesn't happen all night, but parking is their one downfall-- especially since there is NOWHERE else to park for overflow parking nearby! read more
