Last year we got the dreaded letter home from school just 24 hours before a long-awaited family trip overseas --someone in my kid's class had lice. Ugh. Sometimes life has a sick sense of humor. Quickly, I was able to schedule a $10 check in for and received a best case scenario outcome--all clear! Nothing. Just a dry scalp and a case of the worries. Whew! I had piece of mind and the whole thing was quick and easy. They were not trying to sell services or products we didn't need. The people doing the work in the Wallingford location were professional. We went again recently after a camp breakout, and got the all clear. Both times a good experience at their offices.( While I've read that treatment is expensive, hey, I'd pay a lot for someone else to do this. Seems fair.) The one strong caveat I have though is that unfortunately the people I spoke to recently on the phone (on more than one occasion) lacked customer service skills. Maybe their organization skills make them good schedulers, I can't say, but as the front-facing aspect of the business, their lack of friendliness, warmth or helpfulness was a real disappointment. It was a curt, brusque experience, as I found myself pretty much bullied on one call. Its certainly not the way to talk to worried parents. It was a lost customer service opportunity, but even more than that, it was one of the more icky phone experiences, with the worst energy, I can recall having in a long time with a service provider. Try not to let that scare you off, as the actual service they provide to families is a good one. Hopefully, they can work hiring schedulers who provide a better customer service experience, which would go a long way towards creating a better overall impression of their business. Ultimately, this health service is a good one for parental peace of mind, and the staff providing the actual service (but not those on the phone, sadly) are real pros.

We went out and bought all the best products from the drug store, contacted our kids PCM had them prescribe medication . After a week of what felt like a never ending battle. I felt defeated! I did a last search on google. "How to get rid of lice!" At the top was Lice Clinics of America. I truly felt that this is my last resort. We called the next morning, getting in within an hour. Me being quite overwhelmed with 5 kids. Everyone took their time at the Lice Clinic of America faculty in Lakewood. Explained treatment, helped to answer my million questions. I never knew how common lice was, how over the counter product are so toxic and don't actually work. How I was trying to win something I would of never of won. I walked away more relaxed then I was on a two week vacation. Educated, reassured that if anything comes up they are a phone call away or I can come in. I was called before 8am this morning and they had us in by noon. It turns out I had some too and since I've never dealt with lice, it was so helpful to have their calm confidence in dealing with it. We found Lice Charmers and brought the whole family. She was able to see us very quickly. This was the best decision we could have made. Our child did have lice, and June was phenomenal. Her treatment of it, as well as her knowledge and suggestions instantly put us at ease. While lice is frustrating, it can be handled relatively simply and it made us realize it's a very manageable situation. The rest of us got looked at as well. Scheduling an appointment was very easy- they were able to see me on very short notice and it was an absolute delight to find out that they could get rid of my lice within just one session! Again no one called back and finally when I called again, there was no record of my previous call and apparently they have already discarded that trial pair and want me to start from scratch. Nevett & Assoc. Eye/Vision Exam experience Being that I have relatives on both side whom have chronic eye conditions; eye exams are far more important to me than a standard vision check. I greatly appreciate Dr. Nevett taking his time do conduct a full exam where he checked the health of my eyes. As a first time patient he asked a series of questions to ensure he adjusted my lenses perfectly. Being that I'm still nursing my daughter he took that into consideration and didn't want to compromise my milk in any way by avoiding eye drops ( thank you!) -LensCrafters Frame experience After a great eye and vision exam I was introduced to Derek whom helped me select frames. Derek was absolutely wonderful!! He and I are both from southern GA, our southern commonalities led us from strangers to acquaintances very quickly. Dr. Waldron is friendly, decent with adjustments, and answered my questions. However, I had two qualms... First, they don't have an x-ray machine so the diagnosis is conjecture. I was told that my back was "really messed up" while in my early thirties, but when I got x-rays with a different chiropractor a year later, it showed healthy padding and spacing, with some moderate misalignments. Second was a lack of organization. Maybe this was because of COVID delays, I'm not sure. But I received a bill one year after visiting, and it was $60 for a single visit, possibly because insurance wouldn't cover it a year later. If you just want to go somewhere local, this is a decent option. But from my experience, there are much better chiropractors out there and it is worth the drive.

First, they charged us for over 45 mins of patient visit - in reality, the provider only saw us for 15 minutes, rest was either waiting or feeding my son in the room by myself. Second, they also charged us for a "new patient visit" which was frustrating as it was our son's second visit; when requesting for clarification, they said that they charged for "new patient" because it was a new provider even though it was the same practice. Note that we had not requested or wanted a new provider so getting billed for this was very surprising. Third, they also charged us for a "procedure" (essentially feeding my son with a bottle for a minute). With over $500 billed for just simple 'bottle feeding' advice, this visit was extremely not worth it (the advice was also very elementary - we could have googled it). Tried reaching out to both billing and patient service and asking for an itemized bill or specific codes - but the bill they sent us was not itemized. Very disappointing and unpleasant. Recommend going only if you have a significant enough issue (even then, maybe other sources may be better)- but don't be surprised if they send you a big bill.

Since my little one hadn't met her deductible (she was not even two months old!), the charges were exorbitant ($400+ out of pocket). Make sure you check WHO they're charging (both you and your baby?) and if they're charging the baby as an outpatient charge - for these two reasons, the cost was shockingly high. I followed up numerous times to inquire with my insurance, the Lytle Center manager, and their billing department if there was a way to adjust the claim and they insisted there wasn't. Additionally, even though I was charged a lot, my issues weren't resolved through the Lytle Center. They weren't able to tell me anything I didn't already Google. For these reasons, I would avoid going here.
