These ladies are life savers. We had been living our best lives sans the threat of lice until last summer and all the summer camps. Somewhere along the way my 6 year old picked some up and we didn't really know for a few weeks as she wasn't itchy. Once we found the bugs, I went into panic mode. Thinking of all the negative stereotypes that have to do with lice. I was also zero confident on treating the little pests on our own. In one of my local moms groups, the lice clinic has been recommended so I Immediately called to book an apt. They were able to get us in relatively quickly, like next day, which was so helpful. They checked the whole family and turns out I had a couple, too, even though I also wasn't itchy. They treated us immediately after the check and then guarantee that we'll be lice free afterwards. They even have a 5 or so week guarantee if you feel itchy or have any concerns you can go back for free for checks. I was so anxious when we got there and they were so kind to help me not feel so bad. Turns out it's super common. Especially judging on how busy these gals are. I felt a little better as there was another family in at the same time doing the exact same thing - and same results - older daughter and mom with it and younger sibling and dad clear. We had such a good experience that we ended up going back a few months later when my daughter picked it up again when it spread around school. I also appreciate that they do a flat fee for check/treatments instead of by the hour. I have long thick hair and it would have been so much more expensive on a pay by the hour method. What a life saver! Daria is an angel! After my step son came home with lice yesterday, I tried to handle it myself...BAD IDEA!!!! The directions on the at home kit I purchased at Safeway were so confusing! I washed and washed his hair but I still saw hundreds of eggs attached close to his scalp! He can't go back to school until he is nit free and there was no way to get them out! The comb in the kit was a joke and did nothing! This is for their customer service...which is amazing. After we were recommended to Lice Knowing You and had one child treated and my husband and I checked, our older son was checked and they discovered lice. Lice Knowing You then charged us and sent us on our way, with instructions to call for an appointment the next day (they said they didn't have time to treat him). Not wanting to spend the night with a child with lice, I called the Lice Clinic, who was able to come out BUT warned us that Lice Knowing You wouldnt accept their treatment towards their guarantee. The Lice Clinic said they were happy to come out but that they wanted to make sure I was aware. Knowing that I was already conned out of an extra $25-50 because Lice Knowing You made my son sit and wait an extra 15-30 min for no reason (then asked for a tip), I knew they would definitely invalidate our guarantee if we went with the Lice Clinic. Going out on a limb here. Big time. Yes, a kid in my family had lice. Not proud not al all, but hey it happens.
