Here I am, a grown adult never thinking I'd have to research let alone show up at a LICE CLINIC!…read more But when I got the call that my grandchildren and daughter-in-law were-law we had just visited all had lice, I immediately found myself researching how to get checked - even though my husband "assured" me I was fine upon looking at my hair (PSA: don't fall for those kind of assurances!). I was able to get a same day appointment, for a reasonable fee, and hightailed myself down there. So glad I did because Char, the very knowledgeable, reassuring and efficient who performed my check, did find nits to my horror - but she was so relaxed and informative about it that I truly did not panic while she carried out the cleansing process. While she did say it was not vital to launder everything, I did follow steps to heat linens in the drying for on high setting for 20 minutes+ upon returning home and know I can return within the next month for a re-check for peace of mind. I also purchased a can of the mint spray so next time I visit with my grandkids I can be armed with a measure of protection! Bottom line: Don't hesitate to make an appointment.
