    Goat Cheese Thyme & Honey
    Chloe L.

Super interesting flavors! On the more affordable side- $6 for 2 scoops, $4 for 1 single serving. Chocolate cone was very nice! We came near closing time but server was very patient with us, really appreciated. Really big fan of the goat cheese and thyme, but make sure to sample before you purchase.

Lick was a bit different. They had goat cheese flavor mixed very well so you couldn't taste it. This place has unique ice cream flavors that you wouldn't even think of. Quick and easy service you do get to try flavors as well. Very chill and relaxed spot to hang or walk around eat a chilled treat.

Meh - Lick is an Austin staple and they usually have some unique flavors, but I've never really been a big fan of their consistency. This time at this Houston location, I felt like all the flavors I tried had an icy consistency. I also wasn't that impressed with any of the flavors I tried. I ended up getting the Pecan Joy, which tasted similar to an Almond Joy, but with pecans. This flavor felt better in texture and was decent in flavor. I do feel like compared to the Austin locations, the scoop size here is better - either that or it was just the employee. Even though there are fond college memories tied to Lick, I feel that there are other, consistently higher quality ice cream shops in town. Worth the try for their unique flavors though. Plenty of free parking!

I've passed by this ice cream shop on Bellaire Blvd a hundred times, but never noticed it. It is a small shop in a strip center - one that I frequent at least 3X month. Well I found the place and loved it! They have unusual flavors and the flavors are excellent - I had 3 samples. My absolute favorite flavor is the Coconut Cream! A close second is the Pecan and Bourbon (very close). The server was very helpful and friendly. They do have a small seating area. I wish that they'd open up earlier than 1 PM on Saturday and Sunday - possibly noon. The only problem is the parking - it was difficult to find a place a parking space and the rows are a bit narrow so it is a bit difficult to back out - and a lot of cars circling for spaces so be careful.

The online ordering service doesn't list all the in stock freezer flavors, so you HAVE to go inside to look in both, which honestly with a limited rotational menu isn't much of a hassle. Ambiance: LOVED the lighting style, large menu lettering, fellas at the counter don't talk much but they are great at proper portioning & samples. "Food": I'm not a fan of sweet/salty combos but the thyme/ goat cheese(?) is surprisingly sweet I got it in mix with the salted caramel (very umami/sweet) and dang near melted into the floor. Get the waffle cone it stays [reasonably] crunchy even after soaking up ice cream. Note: the pecan topping is just toasted, no other coatings. Freezer flavors I saw: Pumpkin pie, spiced sweet potato pie, current seasonal, tres leches, and I think I saw an apple pie one?? Don't quote me! Seasons syrup: Strawberry sauce

The flavors here were not for me. Their coffee flavor was sadly not offered anymore. I sampled the dark chocolate/olive oil (the olive oil was too strong for me), the rumchata (good for horchata lovers), Texas sheet cake (meh), pecan and bourbon (not great and had cake pieces) before i decided on the mint and chocolate (I wasn't a fan of the chocolate pieces). I also tried my friend's honey and vanilla and that was creamy and not too sweet. Scoops were small and were $4. They don't allow half scoops.

I was so excited that this branch had opened here! This place is a wonderful little ice cream parlor. The employee I met was so polite and went out of his way to explain the prices and servings, which was so appreciated. The interior is clean, though small and very well-lighted. The flavors were so fun and creative! I love chocolate and orange and that flavor was a joy. The milk chocolate and the vegan chocolate flavors were also perfect, being creamy and packed with a wonderfully balanced profile. I was also very happy for the quantity vs price ratio. It is so reasonable for such high quality and size!

Talk about a hidden gem! I am at this shopping center every 3 months for a hair appointment. Anddd the way I have never noticed this place until I arrived extra early one day! This ice is sooo good and creamery with uniquely crafted flavors. The origin story of the ice cream shop is pretty cool too. Any who I decided to check this place out after my hair appointment and I got 3 scoops in a cup so I could try a variety of flavors at once. I tried coffee with cream, dark chocolate olive oil, and hill country honey and vanilla bean. That ice cream hit in 10! So so good I highly reccomend! They also have vegan options and flavors that are only available seasonally! The shop is tucked into a shopping center, it is kind of small inside but cute and quaint! If you are ever in west university area do check this place out!

Lick is my go to ice cream shop in Houston (first time I tried Lick was in college at their Austin location). I tend to always get the same flavors (coffee and/or vanilla with Texas honey). Their seasonal items are always fun (I tried the spring ones today: strawberry and cream that was coconut based and lemon sugar cookie). The offer free samples and also have a punch card. There's seating inside and a bench outside, it's always clean, and the prices are reasonable. The parking lot is large but very narrow and tight.

This artisanal ice cream shop offers a wide variety of truly unique flavors. Lick prides themselves in using the purest of ingredients, and those flavors pack a delicious and satisfying punch. The ice cream shop attendant was very friendly and helpful. Also, the shop was clean and inviting. The shop itself is in an outlet, and it's not easily seen from the road (blink and you might miss it) Some tips: Definitely taste a handful of flavors before making your decision. There are pints and delicious pre-made ice cream sandwiches available in a freezer. Also, Lick offers a pet-friendly dog ice cream mini-pint. Cheers!!

My friends and I came here for some ice cream after dinner. All their flavors are really amazing. Normally I get the goat thyme honey ice cream , but I went with the caramel salt this time and it was pretty good.. the goat, thyme, honey ice cream was really strong in the thyme this time. So even if you are a regular, you should sample the one you're thinking about getting first before you get it in a cup or cone. The waffle bowls are very crunchy. If you're not a big fan of sweets, I would recommend the dark chocolate olive oil . Their worker was pretty chill, and he is fine with giving us all the samples we wanted before ordering and didn't make us feel bad for asking so much. There are limited tables and chairs and inside. We were a group of seven people I think we took up half the available chairs. Tables are clean. The vases with real flowers is a cute touch but it definitely needed a water change or maybe go with a non see through vase? Parking is free and out front.

This ice cream was so delicious and very creamy. They have very unique flavors including some new holiday flavors! I got the gingerbread and the sugar cookie flavors and they were both outstanding. I can't wait to go back again and try more flavors. The service was good, but the only thing is parking is a bit limited. There are only a few spots right in front of the store, otherwise, you have to park a bit further out and walk, which was fine for me because this place was a must try

I've had this ice cream shop on my bookmark list for a while now. Finally checked it out. Small, clean, and nice inside. Seating available. Staff was great. You're able to samlple the different flavors before choosing. I went with the Caramel apple cake and waffle cone. Will try a different flavor next visit.

My family and I had heard about this place before in passing but we finally decided to give them a…read moretry. First off, this is NOT a restaurant. It's a one-man show. You order online hosted by hot plate and pick up at your scheduled time/date at their house. I ordered it but someone else picked up around 2 hours later. You get an automated text when it's ready and you text when you're there. For special requests, you can call/text the number as well; he was pretty helpful and responsive and mentioned to my brother in law that he personally made sure everything had no alliums at pick up. As a note: my family consists of allium-free vegetarians (with one vegan) so we asked ahead of time what our options were before we went for it. He (I really should have gotten his name) gave us a list of rolls that could be made allium free and we chose from them so you could say they do have an allium free menu upon request. We pretty much got almost everything on his list. For 5 adults, we ordered a total of 10 rolls: LOW-KEY LOKI (2) CLASSIC SPICY TUNAH (2) NIKCO ROCK N ROLL SPICY MAMI, HOT TAMALE SPICY DRAGON FIRECRACKER (2) When we opened the boxes, it turns out that he included an extra roll of SPICY MAMI, HOT TAMALE as well as a small container of seaweed salad which I thought was really nice of him! Or maybe we spent too much or there's some buy 10 rolls get 1 free promotion I was unaware of, haha. It was an unexpected surprise. I also have 2 kids but one has multiple food allergies and the other one is picky. She wanted a sweet potato roll, but it's not on the menu so we rolled up some seaweed rice rolls for them ahead of time so they weren't left out. I didn't bring up my kids because we wanted to ease in with the allium free request and go from there. Plus, one of the food allergens is avocado and that was found in almost every roll. On that note, there's an option to make it gluten-free on each item's page, which is pretty awesome. There's also an option to use soy paper instead of seaweed and to add extra ingredients at additional cost. My family shared everything so my plate was a mix and I honestly lost track of what I was eating at the time for personal notes. But honestly? Everything was delicious. Sushi was the last thing I gave up before becoming vegetarian and I'm picky with the sushi I eat now. These are very good and I must say if I lived in Houston, I'd order again. I do wish there was a place to sit or picnic nearby, but this worked as well. (We all congregated at a house.) There was one roll that definitely had a kick to it. Oddly enough, SPICY MAMI was not it. My nose tends to run with spicy food and I didn't get to that point but it was close after that one spicy piece. Overall, a great experience. Our rolls were $8 to $17 each, 8 pieces per roll. It was around $27.20 per person before tips and tax/fees from hot plate ($7.35). They were nicely packed complete with edible orchid flowers, and personal cups of ginger and wasabi as well as chopsticks and soy sauce packets. We finished everything. This certainly wasn't cheap but when is sushi affordable enough to be a daily thing? I do wish there weren't service fees added on top, but I guess the platform needs support too. Delicious and something to try whether or not you're vegan. I hope to order again our next time in town. Many thanks to the chef for the excellent experience and his help!

We ordered: Shroom Tacos (3) - 8.5/10 because they skimpy. It came with chopped white onions and limes on the side. The problem was there was an upcharge for oyster mushrooms but wasn't filled up with the mushrooms. I shouldn't bite into a taco and end up with just tortilla. And the limes were dry. However, the flavor of the tacos were A1. Chicken Chikn Alfredo sub Oyster Mushrooms- 7.5/10 because NO EXPLOSION OF FLAVOR. It was INSIPID. However, the noodles were cooked well, sauce was saucin' and they didn't skimp on the mushrooms in this dish. BUT they could've gave more pasta as a whole, it really wasn't much in there. Philly Steak Sub sub Oyster Mushrooms with KORNY SAUCE- 7/10. It lacked flavor AND there was barely enough mushrooms for how big the sandwich bread was. There was plenty onions and peppers which were cooked well but that's not what we were looking forward to. In addition, we couldn't even tell whether there was KORNY sauce added to it or not. Cookies and Cream Milkshake- 7/10. It was pretty good. Nothing special. Had a good consistency and flavor. German Chocolate Cake- 5.5/10. The cake itself was cooked well and really good. The icing which was coconut and something else wasn't very appetizing or appealing nor was it sweet. It was cold but we prefer our cakes room temperature. Overall, we would go back for the shroom tacos and probably try something else. They did have a very extensive menu. So I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others to try for themselves.

A great place for special events or date night. Featuring a beautiful menu crafted for plant-based living. However, anyone will enjoy the menu. We started off with the yucca fries and the SW hand pies. The fries were my absolute favorite. I did also enjoy the hand pies. They were very feeling. Our server was excellent. He was very attentive and handled the flow of the dining room exquisitely. I had the marsala, everything is well season. I really enjoyed the taste and texture of the oyster mushrooms. The potatoes were cooked perfectly along with the broccolini. My friend enjoyed the nachos. I have had them before and I never disappointed amount of spice, lots of flavor, It's definitely enough for two to share and once you start, you cannot stop. This is definitely a top pick for a nice dinner out.

Crumbville is such a unique bakery and record shop with a beautiful atmosphere and positive vibe…read more It has an old school Third Ward feel, but also reflects a contemporary mindset. I read somewhere that the bakery is set to close soon and wanted to share a few thoughts regarding how important this bakery is, not only to my original childhood neighborhood, but the city itself. What I love: how the building looks on the outside and inside; the owner is very kind, friendly and eager to converse with visitors; and the idea that you can purchase an album by The Jungle Brothers, David Axelrod, Andre 3000, De La Soul or D'Angelo along with sweet treats from the bakery is just so cool. As a cratedigger who loves buying records, this is just so impressive to me. The great artwork hanging on the walls is another plus. A family member bought a delicious strawberry cake for my birthday a few years back, and that was my first introduction to Crumbville. The owner's decision to offer vegan and gluten free desserts was a smart decision, but she also offers regular baked goods. During my first visit recently, I purchased a strawberry cupcake, which had a lime-flavored cookie base. It was sublime and reminded me so much of the birthday cake from years ago. Service was great here. Overall, I just love this place. It makes me smile, and I will be very sad to see it go.

Yesterday, I had a hankering for a cupcake, and it was rainy so I had zero interest in going anywhere. I found that Crumbville is on the Favor app, so I figured, why not? I ordered the Blueberries & Cream Cheesecake cupcake. Wow, it was liking having a blueberry muffin, with loads of blueberries, and icing on top. It was so good!! I also ordered the Strawberries & Cream Cheesecake, Vanilla Peachy-cob-a-licious and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Snicker Crunch. All of the cupcakes are just so fresh and tasty. They are literally the best I have ever had. I fully plan on stopping in sometime to check out the location. I hear the service is amazing, and I cannot wait to find out!
