You can't go wrong with any of their flavors, but my favorites are pistachio and the Amorino chocolate. I tried their hot dark chocolate too, and it was the thickest hot chocolate I have ever had, and it was definitely dark. I would probably go for a milk hot chocolate if you want something sweeter but equally While the quality, service, and flavors from both locations are consistent, the River Oaks/Highland location has a nicer vibe to it, and appeared more well-kept, although it has very limited seating. I love this gelato place. It's the same chain that's in Italy, and it's sooo good. We got the blueberry cheesecake, salted caramel, and the cherry flavors in a cup. They actually have these new gelato bites (which are just chocolate covered ice cream bites - like dibs you could get at the movie theater back in the day RIP) and they looked pretty good. The service is so fast considering how busy it is in there. I think I've been to this location at least five times and will continue coming back. To begin with, service is great! Staff is very friendly and will even double check with you to make sure that you do not want to make any changes to your gelato selections. The way it works is that place your order at one of the self-service counters and then wait for your name to be called. There is limited seating inside but since it is located in the really nice River Oaks District, you can find outdoor seating or stroll through the Plaza. One of the things that really surprised me was how affordable the prices are for what you get. You can combine up to four different flavors in one cone, which I thought was really neat. What was wrong with the old fashioned ordering system?? Did not love the kiosk style ordering here and I imagine it's even more of a cluster later in the evening when there is a long line. We popped in around 7:30 on Friday evening. Service was very friendly and they let you try as many flavors as you want even after you place your order on the kiosk. I got the dark chocolate gianduiotto gelato which is perfect if you really want just a bite of something. My husband got a cup with stracciatella, pistachio and hazelnut.
