Tried this place a couple of times now. I really don't understand their layout. It makes for a very odd customer experience, especially if you've never been here before. It's like they looked at all the successful ice cream shops with the ice cream on display up front and said, let's do the exact opposite. Let's push the ice cream up against the back wall out of sight and then have customers guess what it looks like. They can choose whatever flavors we make up on the chalk board. Eye catching visuals don't matter On top of that, they have customers come in through one door on the side and then exit through a sliding glass door which has people standing in front of it because there is no where else to wait. Truly a bizarre and awkward execution all around which seems to make their poor employees easily flustered when things get busy. Their ice cream isn't worth mentioning really. We all found it flavorless and icy. We won't be giving them a third chance. read more

This is a super cute location and shop with quite a few photo-worthy spots to capture your scoop. There isn't much seating inside but there were some extra tables outside. It's close to public parking that can get busy but we didn't have much trouble finding a place to park. I loved the ice cream flavor options available and of course, the premise of house-made ice cream. We each tried our own individual flavors and cones and we did enjoy most of them. Flavor wise this ice cream is there and is what most would seek out. It's there, it's bold and it's good. Where their ice cream missed for me was in the actual texture and creaminess. I found ice chunks in my mocha ice cream and that was a big disappointment to me. I want my ice cream to be ultra creamy and smooth not chunky and hard. Their flavors are amazing always and the variety is so good. Their flavors service is awesome, the team works hard together and they provide great customer service. They are courteous and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Taste samples "Yes Please" they want you to have a great experience. This place is very casual and welcoming. We were having a staycation day just hanging around puyallup going places we've never been and decided ice cream sounded good. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and delicious. The person working there was so friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was the smell... it was like a cleaner, incense, or some air freshener was very potent and even covering/conflicting with the waffle cone smell. I've only been here twice. Each time I've gone, the girls behind the counter look at me like they'd never seen a POC or like they would rather not serve me. - In customer service there's a very high chance you'll be interacting with people who don't look like you which is why I'm unimpressed. While in line, I've seen them serve Hispanic families and other brown people just fine without the weird looks. Good ice cream. Just unfortunately won't be going back. read more

Saw a post on TikTok so had to try it out! Fun little place from the outside flowers and some seating, definitely a trendy feel when you walk in. Menu of flavor options on the wall but also drink options menu on the counter. The waffle cone is worth the try as well. Great service and stellar ice cream! Lick offers a selection of flavors to include some vegan options. There is a ton of seating just outside or you can walk around downtown Puyallup while you enjoy. My favorite thing about lick is that you can order a flight of different flavors and it's more than enough to share! Talk about the perks of trying several different flavors! Stopped by Lick Ice Cream in Downtown Puyallup today after playing at the park--because what better way to cool off on a hot day? We've been here a few times before, so it was an easy decision. My daughter went for the sour gummy worm ice cream (which she loved), and I got my go-to mint chocolate chip in a freshly made waffle cone. That cone was perfect, nice and crispy It was pretty busy because they just opened and there was a line, but the service was quick and friendly as always. Plus, how can you not smile when the place has a logo of a cow licking an ice cream cone? It pretty much sums up the vibe--fun, quirky, and all about the treats. Ambiance- small shop, high visual appeal was photo prop op for those who like that...clean bathroom & bar type seating. As a visual consumer, seeing the ice cream offerings would've been enhanced this experience so you will have to use your imagination and then balance your expectations. Service could use some efficiency with staff on hand & waiting customers. I understand that workers are still developing. One and done visit so especially thankful for the flight option. I did not see any flavor descriptions which would be helpful with some of the flavors that are not completely self explanatory like, Cookie Monster. It was slightly blue vanilla flavored with chocolate cream filled wafers. I thought it might have chocolate chip cookie chunks plus other cookies? Salted caramel was very creamy and flavorful. Butterfinger as expected, delicious. I think Pistachio was my favorite! The hubs n I shared our flight so we doubled up, getting two scoops of Salted Caramel and Butterfinger, totaling only four flavors. OH! I almost forgot? We absolutely love this area of Puyallup! This little gem is located on a quiet street with a lovely seating area to enjoy a scoop of delicious ice cream. Creamy goodness, this fresh ice cream is available in cups or waffle cones made on site. The scoops are big, a single filled the cone. The ice cream flavors are delicious and the service is excellent, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable as well as helpful, and the ambiance is nice as well. I would definitely recommend the Cookie Monster and Bubblegum flavors and look forward to trying other flavors on my next visit. A wonderful place to stop in at Valentine's Day as the atmosphere is romantic and nice, and they have their photo wall up where people can take Valentine's pictures. All in all everything was wonderful and my trip to Lick Ice Cream was excellent.
