    Almond Mocha Fudge Waffle Cone
    Baylee-Anne N.

This is a super cute location and shop with quite a few photo-worthy spots to capture your scoop. There isn't much seating inside but there were some extra tables outside. It's close to public parking that can get busy but we didn't have much trouble finding a place to park. I loved the ice cream flavor options available and of course, the premise of house-made ice cream. We each tried our own individual flavors and cones and we did enjoy most of them. Flavor wise this ice cream is there and is what most would seek out. It's there, it's bold and it's good. Where their ice cream missed for me was in the actual texture and creaminess. I found ice chunks in my mocha ice cream and that was a big disappointment to me. I want my ice cream to be ultra creamy and smooth not chunky and hard. It was a bit of a disappointment especially given the high price point.

We were having a staycation day just hanging around puyallup going places we've never been and decided ice cream sounded good. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and delicious. The person working there was so friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was the smell... it was like a cleaner, incense, or some air freshener was very potent and even covering/conflicting with the waffle cone smell. Overall we would visit again but would take our treats to go.

Flavor choices (Sunday November 16th, 2025): Vanilla, Chocolate, Rootbeer, Mint Brownie Chip, Cookie Monster, Chocolate Heath Bar Crunch, Brown Butter, Nerds, Pistachio, Blackberry, Salted Caramel, Coffee, Cotton Candy, Nutter Butter, Strawberry Crunch, Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, Picha Farms Blackberry, Blood Orange Sorbet, Huckleberry Sorbet GF = Gluten Free, ND = Non-Dairy As always, Lick never lets us down. Went after dinner for a sweet treat pick-me-up. Cotton Candy was the best cotton candy flavored Ice Cream we ever tasted -- it was like there was an infused ripple of spun sugar in it. Added sprinkles for maximum deliciousness. Staff as always is easy to work with and kind. No muss no fuss. Digital display 'cash' register makes transactions easy. If you haven't been to Lick Ice Cream yet, what are you waiting for?

Pretty simple menu with options for just about all.

Saw a post on TikTok so had to try it out! Fun little place from the outside flowers and some seating, definitely a trendy feel when you walk in. Menu of flavor options on the wall but also drink options menu on the counter. The waffle cone is worth the try as well. All the staff were friendly and talkative and described flavors and samples.

Great service and stellar ice cream! Lick offers a selection of flavors to include some vegan options. There is a ton of seating just outside or you can walk around downtown Puyallup while you enjoy. My favorite thing about lick is that you can order a flight of different flavors and it's more than enough to share! Talk about the perks of trying several different flavors! This creamery is clean and very efficient! You're sure to enjoy your experience!

Enjoyed trying the ice cream flight! We got to try 6 different flavors and it was plenty to share. The service was alright, but we did go in on a busy evening.

Stopped by Lick Ice Cream in Downtown Puyallup today after playing at the park--because what better way to cool off on a hot day? We've been here a few times before, so it was an easy decision. My daughter went for the sour gummy worm ice cream (which she loved), and I got my go-to mint chocolate chip in a freshly made waffle cone. That cone was perfect, nice and crispy It was pretty busy because they just opened and there was a line, but the service was quick and friendly as always. Plus, how can you not smile when the place has a logo of a cow licking an ice cream cone? It pretty much sums up the vibe--fun, quirky, and all about the treats. If you're in the area and need to cool off, definitely stop in!

Service was great! Samples offered of the new flavors. Flavors are great! Ambiance is a cute little spot.

Flavors offered may appeal more to candy or cookie lovers. 3 traditional flavors on hand for mature palates. Ambiance- small shop, high visual appeal was photo prop op for those who like that...clean bathroom & bar type seating. As a visual consumer, seeing the ice cream offerings would've been enhanced this experience so you will have to use your imagination and then balance your expectations. Service could use some efficiency with staff on hand & waiting customers. I understand that workers are still developing. One and done visit so especially thankful for the flight option. Thank you for the experience. Bliss on University place & Creamy Cow in Lacey are my preferred options for comparison.

I tried them in the past apparently because I have photos associated to that visit (even bought a dozen). I obviously didn't remember until I started writing this review. First the location is pretty easy to reach. Small strip mall store front off Portland Ave. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me but no seating and hardly room to view the selection. There is a plastic COVID screen still up and pictures of people who have stolen from them. The selection of donuts is decent and apparently on the weekends there are speciality fritters. The owner operators are kind and so helpful (high praises!). I ordered one blueberry donut and one banana fritter. Both appeared to be well cooked and scrumptious. However, each of the donuts were over fried and tasted like old grease. The blueberry cake was full of blueberries but no real blueberry taste. The fritter was soaked in grease and no banana flavor. Sadly this is not on my list to try again.

So five stars and a review based on my observations as the spouse of a Dairy Bar ice cream loving man! Ha! We all have our Fair favorites. I need a scone and he needs an ice cream cone every time we go. And the Dairy Bar does not disappoint. Go early if you can- after dinner time the line is often about 20 minutes long. For the Spring Fair just the outside walk-up window is open. But for the fall Puyallup Fair the larger restaurant space is open. No tables and chairs but they usually have benches and definitely more service windows open inside. The line moves relatively quickly considering how many people are here. We always have great service and the counter staff is so friendly! Really - this type of customer service is so admirable considering they serve thousands of ice cream treats a day! The menu is nice and simple: Ice cream. Vanilla, chocolate or Strawberry. They can do swirls of two flavors too. My husband loves the vanilla and chocolate swirl cones. I swear as soon as they hand it to him he's immediately transported back to childhood. It's really sweet to see that gleeful sparkle in his eye when they hand over the giant swirl cone. I think this is a common occurrence here- lots and lots of families lined up always for that taste of sweet ice cream from the Dairy Farmers of Washington!
