This was my first visit. I had really high expectations after reading the reviews. I ordered the plain glazed donut because if a plain donut is not good, I don't even need to order one that is iced or flavored. It wasn't terrible but just not to my liking. I got my sister an apple fritter and I also ordered a ham and cheese kolach. Now the kolach was really good. I darn near finished eating it before leaving the parking lot. I chose for it to heated up and it was just right. The customer service is amazing here. Update: My sister loved the apple fritter. If you like the texture of Krispy Kreme doughnuts that's closest comp I can give for what to expect. It's one of those places that makes their doughnuts and when they sell them all they close up shop for the day. Selection is great considering the scale of their operation. Standard variety of doughnuts you would expect but also some more creative ones too. There are also a few savory options with doughs stuffed with meats. It's nothing fancy, in an older shopping plaza. However, when you walk in you can smell the fresh donuts. The lady helping was a little sales pushy, but not over the top. We ordered 3 donuts and an apple fritter. The fritter was fresh and had big chunks of apples. The Oreo donut was good, but the Oreos could have been smaller crushed. The maple bacon and chocolate frosted were both excellent. All of it was fresh. If in the area I would stop in again, it's rare to find a good fresh donut these days. read more

SIMPLE AND UNPRETENTIOUS! I love small town donut shops because they do not know how to be anything but simple and authentic. None of that and simple. This little shop carries some of my favorites such as the plain glazed, cinnamon rolls, twists and holes. Regardless of what you are purchasing, you need to get the donut holes because they are your secondary purchase and will allow you to make it to your destination without digging into .your primary purchase. The holes are bagged at 14 per bag so get two because they are delicious and eat like popcorn. I chose the cinnamon roll as my primary purchase and it was delicious without being greasy or heavy. This is going to sound mean but it isn't. My husband was not as pleased with his chocolate on chocolate donut which I secretly enjoyed because I don't believe in flavored donuts or messing with perfection. It simply did not have the rich flavor that he prefers. If he had stayed faithful to the plain glazed donut, he would have been perfectly pleased. It is simply Karma! This is a nice little shop that is clean and offers polite service. It is definitely a recommended stop with visiting the small town of Perry, GA. read more

This should teach me to wait until I've tried *everything* before posting a review if anything ever has. We had not been to Lickin' Good in Perry in quite some time (for various reasons), but after trying to find a decent tasting donut in Warner Robins over the past few weeks (and failing miserably), we decided to come back and give Lickin' Good another try. Well, I thought we had gotten some really good donuts when I tried and loved the creme-filled and plain glazed ones that were in the dozen we got. That mistaken impression only lasted until those two flavors were gone, and I moved on to trying the blueberry and maple/bacon ones. The blueberry flavoring was fine, but the donuts seemed to only be about half cooked. Texture was soggy and downright disgusting to just touch, much less eat. And, the bacon bits they sprinkled on the maple icing on the others? It wasn't cooked enough to be crispy, leaving greasy, chewy, rubbery little bits of bacon on top of those. We tried scraping the bacon off, but found that the donuts under the icing were old/dry like they were leftovers from an earlier batch so we tossed those, too. So, two varieties that I'd give a 4 or 5 star score, and another two that would get a 1 (or 0) star review. That comes out to around 2 stars, I guess. I suppose we'll try this place again, but be a lot more careful about what varieties we buy there. read more

The people are really friendly and the donuts are good but if you're going here to try bubble tea, I would recommend driving a little further to Tbreak. The boba pieces tasted weird and the taro with milk tea base was so watered down it barely had any flavor and that was before the ice melted. I had heard Perry had a doughnut shop and had to give them a try. Well, that was definitely the end of my diet. The staff was prompt and friendly. While the maple and bacon doughnuts sounded different, they were good. My downfall was the "holes" and the blueberry doughnuts. They melted in my mouth. We will definitely be back. read more
