I came to Lickity Split Cafe on a recommendation to try their Olive Burger, green olives and Mayo, so I was curious, it was good!!! They had a big sign over the counter, "Because Nice Matters". Good advice in the world today! And they were very nice. Good family style diner!

Yum yum yum! Any place that sells Butter Pecan will get rave reviews from me! They do have social distancing measures in place such as "one way in, one way out" and every other table is off limits. Staff were friendly and tended to us immediately. Great experience :-)

Great selection of ice-cream with a small lunch selection. Nice small town feel with great original tasting ice cream.

This place has the best ice cream in Englewood in my opinion. Great service and comfortable atmosphere. It is tucked away and open late.

Very friendly staff and ice cream was great. It is decorated like a 50's malt shop. Try the Manatee Poop ice cream!

We asked to be sat inside (a nice break from the 93 degree temperature outside) and were led right to our table. Our server approached us immediately, asking for our drink order, but with their specials at the bar, we decided to walk up to the bar and get our own drinks. The restaurant was clean and was actually humming productively. Food was being run, tables were being cleaned, drinks were being served. Two of us opted for their version of a Grouper Reuben that they call the "Rocket"! DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS!!! Even the fries were hot and salted perfectly!! This sandwich IS CRAVE WORTHY! Our other party member ordered a Turkey/Bacon/Brie sandwich with fries that we were told was also outstanding! Not much else to say, we had an excellent experience and all I can say is great job by THE ENTIRE STAFF INCLUDING MANAGEMENT!

Wow... He was condescending, rude and obnoxious while insulting customers, dropping f-bombs and ignoring customers with his selective hearing. My wife doesn't even want to come here after his behavior on multiple occasions! I don't care how long your "valued" bartender has been with your company. Sometimes you must make a change for the betterment of the company and for the customer. Loyalty has its limits and customer experience should dictate your response, not blind loyalty.... I had the blackened trigger fish and it was seasoned perfectly. One of the best meals I have had in Florida in 20 years. We also shared a crab stuffed portobello and it was also excellent. I started with the pain pill cocktail - their version of a pain killer. It was really tasty. It came in a very tall glass with some cinnamon sprinkle. The pineapple was fresh. While I looked over the menu, she brought out some warm crusty rolls with salted butter. Yummmmm. I was famished so I dug in. They had so many things on the menu I was a bit in information overload. I started with the coconut shrimp, which they say is a house specialty. The dipping sauce was interesting - like a cold coconut milk? The shrimp were butterflied and lightly fried. There is four on the plate. Pretty good. For dinner, I had the fresh catch with mashed potatoes and the zucchini medley. The medley had zucchini. squash, onions and red bell pepper in it. They have other sides like sweet potato as well. You get your choice of two. The entree came with a side salad. It was a small portion. It had some sweet candied nuts on it, with some shredded mixed cheese and a side of their house French dressing. Some of the pieces of lettuce were really long so it was kinda messy to eat. The red snapper was my choice of fresh catch. I asked for it grilled but the other option is blackened. The fish was a good portion. About 6 to 8 ounces. The mashed potatoes were delicious. I enjoyed my meal and I was too stuffed for dessert. But I saw the bread pudding with ice cream at another table. Wow! The scoop of ice cream on that dish was huge! The key lime ice cream pie sounded interesting and I imagine they have a good tiramisu. Next time I'll get dessert. Service was stellar. I was not bothered but I was checked on often for another drink and water etc. plates were cleared often but did not distract me. I really enjoyed being outside because they had a one man band playing guitar and singing so wonderfully. It's a gorgeous setting outside. A bit warm, but I was gross from golf anyways. They do have quite a few fans but I'm glad I was away from them. I hate when I'm trying to eat and it's all I can do to keep my hair from blowing in my face and mouth from overzealous ceiling fans. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Parking is a private lot out front and I easily found a space. This place was recommended by a coworker. I am so glad I took her recommendation!
