This is a large Lidl in Manassas located diagonally to the Costco there. Prices are good on most everything but advertised specials tend to sell out fast. My family loves the bakery which offers surprisingly good breads and pastries and super low prices. Carts are free but be sure to remember to bring your own bags. You will also have to bag your own groceries. They seem to be understaffed a lot of the time with only one or two checkout lanes open, so be prepared to wait. Plenty of parking and spacious aisles make for a more pleasant shopping experience.

Great that they have the cart to use while shopping without depositing money ,however you have to bring your own reusable bag if not you have the option of buying .10cents LIDL brand plastic bags. I found grass fed rib eye for $5.99!! goat cheese, nitrate free bacon and sausages everything with a lower price tag. (attention KETO fans!) Bakery with fresh bakes treats for that sweet spot. Nice architectural design. Modern and sleek.

It was not bad, been to Aldi in Germany but never stateside everyone says they are just alike, not bad quick service and was pretty cool packing my bags, have not done that since Winco stores in Phoenix..

I consider this Lidl a great place to shop because of the large selection of basic foods, great location with plenty of parking, and their courteous employees (especially the cashier we had today). They have an excellent selection of fresh produce. I was surprised to see Brioche hamburger and hot dog buns available. Their bakery is well stocked with fresh baked goods at a reasonable price. Also, they have great prices on most of their items, especially their meat and canned vegetables. The store is clean, with great lighting, and all items & their prices are well labeled. We have been to this location before, but today it seemed better stocked than during any of our other visits. Our cashier/checker was very helpful and friendly. At the time we were in the store there were few customers. This could be because we were shopping around the noon time on a Monday at the end of the month. We definitely look forward to returning for more bargains.

6/2/19 Lidl is like Aldi's and in a way it isn't. Yes, the prices are low, but I like Aldi's more. The Lidl I went to is located in Man's asses....Manassas. Yes, the name stinks, but it is what it is. The store has a large doughnut section. The doughnut section is located right by the entrance. The selection of food big and the prices are decent. I did not mind the food and clothing arrangements, but my wife wasn't feeling it. Guess we won't be coming back here to offten. ...not unless a store opens near falls Church time will tell

This place is dishonest in their business practices and during a crisis time makes it even worse. They advertised .99 cents a lb chicken thighs. See the picture, the sign says .99 cent a lb chicken thighs. I bought 4 packs and the store manager tells me that is only on family packs? As I explain to her that the sign clearly reads bone in, skin in chicken thighs from Sanderson I don't understand her point? Nowhere does it say family packs on this sign and the thighs are with the sign. Do not patronize this place as their integrity is the worst I've seen. I'm not done letting everyone know.

I love Aldi, so I HAD to come into Lidl to see what the noise (made by my Mom) was about. First of all, DO NOT go by the other Lidl Yelp Review placing this store at 11872 Ashton Ave. Fake news - you'll end up at a wide open field of an intersection. The correct address is in this one, right next to the new Sheetz. Lidl is a freestanding building and it's pretty big. No quarter needed for a cart unlike Aldi, so that's a plus. Though they will still charge you for bags at checkout, so come prepared. They have more produce and more meat than Aldi - since it's a bigger store, there's just more things to buy in general. They also have a Costco-esque section with other non-grocery items like jeans, rugs, pots and pans, etc. The large signs above this section called them "surprises". They also have a large Bakery right where you enter with fresh baked bread, donuts, etc. This area was packed and carbs are the devil, so I didn't get a chance to look in there too much. Based on my one visit, I think I like Aldi a little bit more. It's a quieter place to shop, though I will take into consideration the fact that Lidl hasn't been open for too long. That new grocery smell is still very much in full effect here. It was maybe just a little overwhelming for me on a Sunday. They do have more brand names I recognize here at the lower price that I was anticipating, so it's certainly worth a second visit.

It was pretty crowded but everything was organized and clean. Friendly staff, great deals as well, not to mention they have fresh baked goods! This place is going to give Aldi a run for its money!

I really like this grocery store. It's a breath of fresh air to get fresh produce at a reasonable price. They have good cookies, donuts, and pastries. I went on the opening weekend and there were tons of sales but obviously that was promotional. I like the mix of practical tools and clothing items that they feature in the house items. I will miss this lively little foreign grocery store when I move out of the area. Hopefully they will put one in D.C.

    Ask the Community - Lidl

How do the prices compare with other grocery stores in this area?

On many items, there are significant savings. Vegetables, fruit, bread, cold cuts, yogurt, cage free brown eggs, cereal, chocolate, etc. I buy these on my regular visits and it's noticeably cheaper. Quality is the same.

All the staple sections are there. The store was super clean which is always a super plus in my book! I noticed they have more premade and ready to cook selections than some of the other locations. The precut fruit was looking fantastic as well. The slow ambiance filled music playing in the background will have you wondering if you should be slow dancing in the aisle as the store is dimly lit on the inside. The bonus was I had a hard time finding taco shells of all things. As I stood in the middle of aisle 8 and asked a gentleman who was stocking the shelf if he worked there her responded no but he does so I turn around and the other gentleman stops and says how can I help you ma'am. I advised I was looking for taco shells and it was like he was in unison with the music as he replied aisle 16. Taco shells in hand, made my way to the checkout and was on my way. They do have several self check outs for use if you like to ring up your own groceries but as for me, I still go through the regular check out lines, you know, to help save jobs.
