That's funny they remove reviews! They don't give a receipt here because they overcharge you. I came to buy my son a hat and the teenager female charged me $10 for a premium pass without my consent or asking me. I had to reach out to their customer service to get a refund. Was charged at hat steam from a teenage girl at the little store Lids. was very disrespectful and never gave a receipt only from email. and when asked for physical copy she says they only do email and have no print paper. will never go back to the smaller lids in the mall ever again!! read more

I have been going to LIDS for many years. Today I was not greeted with respect, the employee did not honor my lids membership and stated that since the "Microsoft computer" issue happened they have not resolved the issue to apply the membership discounts or military discounts, also he did not offer an alternative since I am member of Lids. I am very disappointed in such a big company to have employees work there without passion. I don't think is valid because another location for Lids honored the discount in another city. They also did not offer to give me a receipt for the transaction. Please monitor your employee as you will lose my business at this location and he could jeopardize your business with manners like this. read more

Had a great experience working with employee Ruben. Beyond professional and at closing time went above and beyond. He stayed 15min extra to get the hat embroidery right that the Escondido mall location struggled with. Bought a Fitted hat (Christmas present) for my son. I said at the time I wasn't sure of the size & might need to exchange. Hasn't been 30days and I went in without receipt, but was able to show CC statement with transaction number. I just wanted a simple size exchange and I was refused outright. It Still had all the manufacture stickers and was un worn. It didn't have the price sticker - again, it was a Christmas present. I didn't create a scene or get into to words, the hat was only $48, but I left thinking, You can get a hat anywhere and even easier online - How a brick & mortar business can continue to run with this kind of service especially from a manager is beyond me. From the rating stars It looks like others have had problems here too - so, if the owner cares to read these you might have a problem. Ps: the new hat is coming tomorrow from Amazon. Arrived at the store at 11:30 AM. It was supposed to open at 11 store was still closed gate down lights off with no employees in sight came back 30 minutes later they were just opening the gate as I walked by unemployment literally says to himself we haven't even turn the lights on yet and people want to buy things? I kid you not you are in a retail store why else to people come in and why are you opening a half hour late but more importantly thanks for this comment, instead of buying the hats, I was going to buy inside the store I simply tried the hat on found the right size ordered it online. It will be here tomorrow. This should make this employee happy. I don't know how you do businesses stay open when you can't open the doors on time and you make smart comments like this to customers and drive business back out the door I would never walk back into this location. Absolute garbage ... I'm a huge Lids customer and every time I go in there it takes forever to check out. Today went in and as their only customers there it took 10 minutes just to be checked out because he cared so much about opening boxes. After that it's been around 4 times they never ask about my membership so I always have to ask to I put my information for I can get my discount. This shouldn't be a thing! I like the on-line merchandise but this review is for the Carlsbad store in the mall on El Camino Real. Everytime I call the line is busy, for hours. i don't think it's customers, it's the teenie bopper tieing up the line. I go through a lot of hats and have been a regular customer of Lids for many years. Recently I was looking for an infant sized Yankees cap and had to go through Lids.com. They have an option to get free shipping to any of their stores. I went to pick up the cap and looked at their selection which is extensive as long as you want the stiff, flat brimmed style currently popular. My only complaint was the salesperson. Her attitude was horrible and next time I may pay for shipping rather than deal with rudeness and a bad attitude. read more

Horrible customer service as I was there looking at bucket hats the young lady started putting the hats I was looking at back on the rack, I was not finished making my choice. As I was also there a young lady walked in need help finding a hat for her child she had no clue how the fitted hats where sized and instead of the being help like suggesting a snap back or flex fit hat she was just pointed to kids hats and adults hats also person working there make no eye contact what so ever then the young man in the back office can out and said I'm late for my ten min break fuck. Absolutly love this store! Has plenty of hats to chose from and had a good vibe with great customer service! I had no idea what kind of hat to buy my husband for his birthday and the sales associate suggested a authentic padres hat and the young lady even guessed the right size! My husband loved!
