Stopped in to grab lunch today with some coworkers. The place is rather small and very dimly lit, especially the lights over those preparing the food. Made me wonder if they could truly see what they are doing. I ordered the Hot Honey Toast and the Very Berry Acai Bowl. The toast was tasty, could have used a bit more salt. The honey was really watery and was more on the togo container than the toast itself. The Acai was nice, first time having it in this form. Now looking back, it would have been better consumed immediately and not waiting the car ride back to work as it was melting. Lesson learned. I added peanut butter on it too. Was it worth over $24 for it all, eh, maybe not. Thankfully, I had a gift card burning in my pocket that covered half of it. read more

My absolute favorite place for breakfast and lunch in Madison. The food is always so fresh and delicious. The nutty bowl is awesome.

I was craving some thing healthy, cold, and delicious on a hot summer day when passing through downtown Madison, on my way to the beach. I decided to pop into Life Bowls. Probably won't do so, again... The staff was not really pleasant, at all and was super low in energy. It was a really, really small interior and pretty crammed and confusing, and I waited extra time because they got my name wrong and just didn't call it... The smoothie was not very tasty for the price! The açai fruit bowls looked pretty tasty, but I think I could probably just accomplish all of this in a blender at my house, and be treated a little little bit nicer by my dogs than I was by the Life Bowls staff ‍ read more

I've been going to Life Bowls since it was strictly a food truck and always RAVED about them. My go to was the Nutty Bowl. However, I have to say since turning into a store front I feel like the Açai bowls do not taste the same. The toppings are still great but the base has gotten watered down. At first I just thought it was one time, but now I've been back multiple times and they just don't taste the same. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, or watered down something but I miss the old flavor. Does anyone else agree??? Bring back the old recipe for the base! I'm not sure if this is the case for all their bowls, like I said I get the same thing every time. read more

Oh my gawd, guys- this food truck is da bomb! I've been trying to turn a new leaf- healthy foods with less refined sugar. More fruits and veggies. This place was a saving grace the other day. We had gotten the Acai smoothie and bowls. Not only was my bowl absolutely beautiful, breath-taking, even, it was absolutely delicious. You could tell that the fruit was super fresh; the tart was balanced perfectly with the sweet. Smoothie consistencies topped with crunch from homemade hemp granola and coconut andddd chewy Goji berries. I was satisfied, energized and ready to kick some butt at the gym! These are the best acai bowls I have ever had in CT, and if they were in NYC they would be some of the better ones I've had there too. Acai bowls are not as popular out here as much as they are in Cali but, lucky for us, these two dudes just moved from the West Coast to start this place up in CT. I am glad they did because the smoothies and acai bowls here are really outstanding. Acai bowls are basically smoothies that are placed in a bowl and covered in toppings but featuring an Amazonian berry that has a slight chocolate/blueberry taste and is full of antioxidants. I got the Berry Acai bowl and Nutty Acai Bowl and both were completely awesome. I think I might have liked the berry one more, but the nutty one is definitely sweeter and more dessert-like and it seemed to be the most popular one. I really want to try the Kiwi Acai Bowl next time. It is also of note that the base of the smoothie is almost pure acai, which is pretty baller for any acai bowl spot since most dilute it heavily. As for smoothies a lot of people were ordering a PB Whey one and a Kale one. They both looked great but after 2 acai bowls I knew it would be impossible to have a smoothie. The dudes who work here are super nice and the truck is in a scenic nook of Madison. I personally do not live anywhere near this place, even when I am staying in CT, but I still plan to make the 45 minute hike to this amazing truck every now and then to pick up an acai bowl. I came to life bowls for the second day in a row this morning and was not disappointed! Their menu features a large variety of açaí (as well as various other fruit) bowls, smoothies, and toasts. I ordered their classic açaí bowl both mornings and it was delicious! The fruit on top was fresh and the açaí base is noticeably less sweet (I'm guessing with no added sugar) compared to other bowls I've had in the past. The staff seem to have adjusted well to the covid restrictions in place as you can order at a table outside of the restaurant and wait for your food to be ready. There's also a good amount of covered seating right outside of the storefront. This will definitely be a regular stop for me while at the beach this summer! read more

I always enjoy the Buddha Bowl with the Honey Ginger dressing. Today I ordered a Chickpea Salad Sandwich and the Vegan Cabbage Potato soup. I was in tastebud heaven.
