    Interior - Menu Board

I was craving some thing healthy, cold, and delicious on a hot summer day when passing through downtown Madison, on my way to the beach. I decided to pop into Life Bowls. Probably won't do so, again... The staff was not really pleasant, at all and was super low in energy. It was a really, really small interior and pretty crammed and confusing, and I waited extra time because they got my name wrong and just didn't call it... The smoothie was not very tasty for the price! The açai fruit bowls looked pretty tasty, but I think I could probably just accomplish all of this in a blender at my house, and be treated a little little bit nicer by my dogs than I was by the Life Bowls staff ‍

This is a really cute, healthy spot in Madison. A great place to stop before or after some beach time at Hammonasset. Place seemed busy but service was fast. Staff was friendly and answered questions as well as provided recommendations. Inside is small but cozy. My Mango #5 smoothie with coconut was delicious.

Great açaí bowls and coffee! A quaint little spot close to the beach with good customer service. I recommend the very berry acai.

Cravings satisfied! Loved the Pitaya Bowl I got , lil heavy on the coconut topping but I personally am not a huge coconut fan. Also had the Chickpea Salad Sandwhich, really good would get it again. Can't wait to come back to try their other Pitaya bowls and Acai bowls.

I went to Life Bowls and thought they were decent. I wish their portions were a little bigger for the price, however, after living in CA I feel like I'm a little spoiled when it comes to Acai bowls! If you're in the area, it's a great breakfast stop!

Kiwis playhouse. Lacking toppings on the left half, and the fruit was unripe. Not great.

Disappointing açaí bowl. The bowl was half topped with toppings, and the fruit it did have was sour and unripe. The actual açaí was pretty sour too because they use lime in the mix. I thought it would add brightness, but the whole thing was sour, acidic and imbalanced. Expensive and didn't satisfy what I was looking for.

If you're looking for an açaí bowl just to satisfy the craving this does the job. Although, the acai blend itself is very watered down, and the price is borderline WAY too pricey for the quality and size of the food. I enjoyed it though.

Life bowls is my new go-to spot for a healthy meal or snack. The bowls, smoothies and toasts are all so tasty. Service is quick and the staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients. So many options...something for everyone.

Delicious smoothie 10/10 times & so appreciative of their delicious and creative changing specials to help switch it up for a treat while I am on my lunch break! :-)

Plays Pitaya. Served super cold and filled with toppings to mix in. I could eat this daily.

Ran into this because there was an accident on 95. The truck design on the outside is catchy and with the big line of people we knew we had to try it. Playa pitaya is the way to go. Pitaya is dragon fruit and it is delicious. The bowls are big!!! You could definitely share one for two people. The menu has about 8-10 options and it's hard to choose. They're all about $8.50 to $9.00. Well worth for the fresh ingredients.

    Cute truck!

Oh my gawd, guys- this food truck is da bomb! I've been trying to turn a new leaf- healthy foods with less refined sugar. More fruits and veggies. This place was a saving grace the other day. We had gotten the Acai smoothie and bowls. Not only was my bowl absolutely beautiful, breath-taking, even, it was absolutely delicious. You could tell that the fruit was super fresh; the tart was balanced perfectly with the sweet. Smoothie consistencies topped with crunch from homemade hemp granola and coconut andddd chewy Goji berries. I was satisfied, energized and ready to kick some butt at the gym! Find this truck and gobble it up!!! Your belly and soul will thank me later.

Small but quaint. The vibe felt nice. Service was ok but maybe they are not as social. Small seating area. Interesting place. Would return.

He has had the pulled pork sandwich. It is a food truck. The price is that of a local restaurant. You can get a lobster roll over in Clinton for the same price but get a water view and sit beneath an awning in a white plastic chair. There is never a line and most times the generator is going off. When High Tide is at the historic Academy Street School folks sit on picnic tables. I sit in my car. The chowder is very good but it's availability is inconsistent-he had it-he does not have it. Yes you get chips with the lobster. (Another reviewer brought that up.). For $14.99. I think you should get chips or slaw. Sometimes there is slaw-buy not all the time and I think that portion should be larger. I'm not a fan of sitting solo in my car eating after using my credit card. I enjoy eating with people. I guess I'm not a food truck sort of person. The whole controversy about their existence in downtown Madison is a turnoff. I cannot imagine making money in that location. There is no volume. They do air of crying and the controversy spears to be Madison's biggest issue. High Tide takes credit cards.

This truck did it just perfect, even my non seafood eating boyfriend had 2 himself. The guy on the truck even helped us pack it so we could take it home. ..I know who does that? ? But it certainly didn't last the trip home. If we are ever in Connecticut again, will be sure to look out for this truck.

This past weekend was the wedding of my brother and sister-in-law at Stewards of the Land Brewery in Northford. It just so happens that they booked the Chef Truck to provide the food for the reception. I had previously sampled some of Chef John's delicious food when I attended an exclusive 'Foodie Influencer' event a few months back at the same brewery. I was not disappointed then and I certainly wasn't this time. The first course featured an Autumn Salad (salad greens, sliced apples, gorgonzola, pancetta) and bowls of Pumpkin Bisque. Both dishes really hit the spot. The next course featured Chicken n' Waffles, Mac n' Cheese Fritters, and Cheese-stuffed Squash Blossoms. Everything was perfect! The final course was served buffet style and included the "Mississippi Mac Attack" (slow-cooked pulled pork over Mac n' Cheese with Scallions) and "General Tso's Chickpeas" (crispy chickpeas, tofu & broccoli tossed in sweet & spicy sauce over jasmine rice). Everything was so flavorful. I think that the second course may have been my favorite. Another great culinary experience from Chef John!
