I liked this place! With a 20% tip for both services a bit over $238 total for a Savannah River Stone Massage - 60 Minutes, $165.00 and a Waxing - Brow Shaping for $30. The massage therapist was lovely; Carrie made sure to ask what I preferred and made me extremely comfortable. The woman who did my eyebrows was also professional and made me feel very comfortable even though I've not had an eyebrow wax in years. My only note for improvement is the ceiling tiles you end up staring at for each service should be fixed up. Otherwise enjoyed my experience and would recommend! read more

Sadly, this was not the special mother's day experience I had hoped for. I booked a custom package for two which was to include a eucalyptus reflexology foot massage and spa manicures. When we arrived our massage therapists seemed to not know about the eucalyptus reflexology and thought we were getting a different massage. What we received was just a basic foot massage, zero reflexology. Then we went downstairs for manicures. The manicure area is very cramped, we kept bumping into each other because your backs touch the person behind you. The woman who did my mani was very nice and friendly but sadly my manicure wasn't good. She did not polish down to the base of nail, there was no hand massage or lotion. My nails were chipped less than 12 hours later and 2 days later completely ruined. My mom had a much better manicure experience and everyone was very nice so that's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. read more

First Impressions: A clean and cute Spa offering a variety of services and unique, handmade items. The decor was tasteful and comfortable. We had a good start. We arrive 20 minutes early and were offered beverages. The receptionist notified our masseuses then she gave us a verbal tour of the facility. An upstairs bathroom near the massage rooms would have been great, but unfortunately they only had one downstairs. Ambience: One masseuse, Kayla mentioned that we could start earlier if we desired. We agreed and were asked to excuse the ongoing renovations upstairs. As we walked up, we saw several workers with equipment, in adjacent rooms. This was not exactly the first thing I wanted to see. I thought, "I wish I would have known in advance, I would have waited." My second thought was "I hope it's not noisy." Anyway, we were already there and it was too late to cancel, so we proceeded. Thankfully we were far enough away from the renovations to hear anything. Fingers crossed, maybe they'll install a bathroom. :) Masseuses & Massages: Kayla and Vicky were great!! They were attentive and listened to our requests. I'd definitely request them again! Big Cons: After our massages, the 2 gentlemen were still renovating rooms. Their work dispersed dust on a small table upstairs, the stairs and the banister! Unbelievable and YUCK!!! I should have taken a picture! Really, I could see my footsteps on the stairs!!! How could anyone think this was OK??!! After we checked out, I asked Catherine if they offered a Military discount. She stated "Yes we do." I replied "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask for it." She pleasantly answered, "Well maybe next time!" She didn't even offer to rerun the transaction. I know, I should have asked, but seriously, I just wanted to leave! Shortly after we left, she emailed my receipt. I was shocked to see a 3% credit card processing fee added to my bill. Was it not an option for me to pay by cash? If so, it wasn't even offered! There's no mention of a fee on their website. The Debit Credit card info tab does work, along with 2 others under their FAQ's tab. *After leaving this review the business reached out and offered a refund for the additional charges that were added to my service* I recently went in for the mother daughter package that included a pedicure and facial. Caitlyn performed both my pedicure and facial. While performing my facial she told me she would be doing extractions and that I would benefit from dermaplaning. At no point did she ask me if I actually wanted her to do these or did she inform me that there would be an additional charge for this. I asked more details about the dermaplaning but never agreed that she should do it. Caitlyn went ahead and added both of those services on to my facial without my consent. Even with these "add-ons" may facial was still less than the quoted 60 minutes. We then went out to the pedicure. Caitlyn was rushed doing this and never trimmed my toe nails, despite commenting that she could tell I do them at home. Upon checking out we found out that our services were $65 more than we were originally told they would be, this is when Caitlyn told us that she had added on extra charges. We were confused and mentioned that this was not disclosed to which Caitlyn shrugged and asked how we'd like to pay. After leaving we realized that I did not experience the full facial that I paid for since so much time was spent on the dermaplaning and extractions. My mom's facial seemed to have been longer, included more steps, and did not include any additional charges. I have tried to reach out and rectify this with the salon but have gotten no response despite calling multiple times and leaving messages. There are plently of other options in the area with good reviews, I'd recommend trying one of those. read more

The day of our appointment, we got stuck at the train and ended up running a bit late. We called to let them know, and they sent us texts to fill out our paperwork so we wouldn't miss any time on our massages. Our services were done by Carrie and Kayla. The room was so calm, dim lights, candles, and soothing music welcomed us in. We both enjoyed the service and Carrie and Kayla were both fantastic. My husband and I booked massages while we were in town for a long weekend. While my husband enjoyed his massage, I had a different experience. I found my massage very odd and awkward. There was no rhyme or reason to the technique and there were times where I felt like I was not being massaged at all. There was a lot of elbow and not much hand massaging. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED I understand that this in a "boutique style salon" and that it is on Broughton street, however the lack of transparency around pricing is part of this low review. Per their online prices, I was prepared to pay $70 for a basic pedicure. Was not informed at any point that gel removal was an additional $20, and that gel add on was an additional $20. They did ask if I had gel on, I said yes. At that point, I should have been informed of the $20 up charge. Had I known I was spending $110 before tip on a pedicure I would not have gone here. The pedicure itself was fine. Nothing amazing or above and beyond any other pedicures I've had anywhere else. Just an average pedicure. OVERPRICED FOR NO REASON. I went in for a "pedicure" with my friend. I put pedicure in quotations because I really just asked them to remove my gel polish and cut and file my nails. The pedicure price listed was $70 which I assumed included a regular polish. Since I was not getting polish I thought there may be a discount. I also was not informed of the $20 addition to remove the gel polish I currently had on. I spent $90 before tip. On January 10, 2025 I came in for my first haircut and color in years. I have always had the worst experience with hairstylists in the past. So, I decided it was time to trust someone with my hair once again. I was welcomed with a hot cup of tea and the most wonderful staff. Then I got to meet the sweetest person, Monique, who was my stylist. She not only did an outstanding job, but she was also such a delight to talk with. She took her time and made me feel so comfortable. My faith in trusting someone with my hair has been restored and I can finally say that I have landed my new hairstylist. I went in a couple of days ago with acrylics on looking for those to be taken off and a gel manicure to be put on. Before I even got in the chair my nail tech acted disappointed and upset about my acrylics and started telling me how it's going to be difficult. she spent an hour and a half just taking off the acrylics, all i asked for was to have them taken off and gel put on but i'm sitting there in silence the nail tech would not say a word to me for an hour and a half and then another hour to put the actual gel on. this cost before tip 130 dollars. absolutely insane to me. i only went here because i wanted to go somewhere walking distance as opposed to my usual place but i am never going back, its only been 4 days and my nails are chipping like crazy. i cannot recommend going anywhere but here enough. read more

I was visiting the city, and originally scheduled a massage at a different establishment, but they had to cancel the day before my appointment. I left a voicemail with Milan Day Spa. They quickly responded within a couple hours and were able to accommodate me. Crystal was the therapist who gave my therapeutic massage. She was wonderful and made sure the pressure was suitable throughout the session. A therapeutic massage focuses on areas you are experiencing pain/tension. I listed several including neck, shoulders, lower back and calves. Crystal performed a full-body massage (extra attention given to my focus areas) and even used hot stones for the knot in my shoulder. Fabulous experience here! Also, just thought I should note, typically when you book a massage, whether it be 60 min, 90 min or however long, that also accounts for the time the therapist needs to clean up before their next appointment. So, maybe the therapist will massage you for 50 min and there's 10 min for cleanup. In my experience, this is standard for the industry. read more

A signature pedicure is listed online at $65 I was charged $85 for a pedi and $20 for a soak off totaling $105. If I had known it was $85 I would've just sprung for the ultimate pedi. Not sure if I was charged for the drink in that total or something? Overall the experience was worth it and I enjoyed, but if transparent pricing is a big deal for you I'd ask questions upfront. Also not a ton of polish colors to choose from. Overall I could've gone to a regular nail salon for half the price and would've had well over double the polish options (but no champagne!) Had I known that the walk to the room, undressing and waiting for the massage therapist to come back counted as part of the time for my massage, I would have told the individual to just stand there while I undressed. Accidentally broke my nail the day after my (new) fiancé proposed and they quickly let me come in and fixed my nail so that my romantic getaway went flawlessly. I felt like Masseuse was barely touching my back, (requested Swedish massage) and also I felt shaking inexperienced hands, randomly massaging here and there, no structure, no pressure whatsoever. "THIS IS BROUGHTON STREET, IT'S EXPENSIVE" Is what I was told by Milan's owner when questioning why we were charged 3x more than what we were quoted for "goodies." I booked spa services (which were fine but not phenomenal) for myself and 5 of my friends and wanted to add on something to snack on while we were there as we were celebrating a birthday. I was quoted $20-25 per person for sweets and mimosas. The same day I chose sweets instead of charcuterie I called back to change to the savory and was told the charge would "work itself out" as I had already been charged $60 (which is $20/person if you're counting). When we got to the spa we were told we were getting both sweets and charcuterie. Ok awesome, maybe we were comped, maybe somebody paid and didn't say, at the most we were getting charged for both at ~40 per person. Not the case. We were charged $405 for what you see in this picture and 8 mimosas (2 people had 2) which is $67.50 per person. I was originally quoted and charged by the owner for half of everything. Then my unknowing friend paid for the food. I have contacted the spa multiple times and successfully reached the owner once when she told me the above quote and said she would "add up her costs and get back to me." I have not heard from her since. Don't waste your money here. There are plenty of other places that you can indulge in. You can have a full Sunday brunch including charcuterie, entree, dessert and mimosas with much nicer champagne for $50 at one of the newest and nicest places on Riverstreet with a rooftop view. read more

Visiting Savannah for a week to relax with my sister, I found the website for Milan and great reviews. We had high hopes. I booked a massage and a facial. My sister waited to book her services (forgot), but when she did they asked if she should be on my reservation. She said ok. They asked if she wanted to be in the same room, she said no. Never got her paperwork in advance, so we arrived 30 minutes early to make sure she could get them. The spa wasn't ready for us, so we walked the city a bit. No big deal. When we returned, she got the power work and we went upstairs. Note: all the music and white noise was loud. Maybe we are sensitive, but it wasn't relaxing because the volume was too high and the waves clashed with the zen music. But that's nit picky. A male therapist came out to tell us that the second masseur wasn't there yet. Odd that he didn't start one of us, but we kept waiting and didn't ask. Imagine our shock when he arrived and we were in the same room! We are sisters so we didn't balk because clearly we've seen each other naked before, but it was frustrating considering she specifically said no to a couples room. My therapist Steve was good. He talked a little loud, but did a nice job. My sisters therapist seemed a bit junior in massage therapy. She wasn't satisfied and decided not to do a facial that she had spontaneously added on when we arrived. Didn't matter, they didn't bring her a robe for the facial anyway and acted like she wasn't getting one. I went to sit waiting for my facial, she went to check out. We both had odd experiences next. She tried to check out and was asked to wait. Ended up sitting and waiting for 20 minutes only to get frustrated and ask why she couldn't just check out; the front desk person said "I already checked you out". Smh. Meanwhile my facial was pleasant but didn't feel standard. She said my skin looked good and a peel would be good, but didn't pressure me. I added it. What felt nonstandard was that with the exception of the first time she looked at my skin, there never seemed to be light on my face. She didn't do any extractions or come in close to my skin at all. She didn't use a single tool outside her hands and warm towels. Everything was rubbed on and off my fAce (exfoliant, peel, masque, serums, sunscreen). I've never had a facial that didn't include close inspection of my skin, some manipulation of my nose oils, etc. i have nice skin, but seriously it's been years and children since my last facial and I eat like crap due to Covid. There had to be something in those pores of mine! It was over and I was confused. Let me say, it was pleasant. The scalp massage was nice. She was gentle and the warm towels and steam were great. She talked and was very nice the whole time. But I didn't feel like I'd gotten a facial. I felt like I got a face massage. A male customer left because his service was 20 minutes late. We had those awkward moments. I spent around $300 for my services (plus gratuity) and my sister paid $145. Neither of us felt that we had an upscale experience. Not bad, but awkward enough for us to feel it wasn't the cherry on top of our girls trip that we'd hoped for. If we were to recommend this to someone else we would suggest that they only get the basics and expect a nice but basic experience. read more

What's fair and fair and I have to recognize their response and willingness to try to make this right in some way. -------------- Let's start by saying that I've gotten many professional and therapeutic massages before, both in and outside the US, and this is easily the WORST experience I've ever had. I booked as part of an out of state girls' trip. -I was assigned a male massage therapist which wasn't my friend nor my preference. I call to request a female and Im told only male therapists were available that day. So I completely changed it to another day for only that reason. - We get there and are asked to fill out the normal medical history prior to our services. A male therapist comes out looking for my friend. She acknowledges her name and the therapist makes an uncomfortable and racist remark as to how he should have guessed that was her based on her name. I should have walked out then. Then I tell him we have specifically requested female therapist but he insists on doing my friend's massage. She just wants to get it done as we had driven from out of state and she wanted the massage so she reluctantly agrees. -then Im called back about 5 mins after my appt. was to start so by the time im undressed and ready in the room, Im robbed of about 10 mins out of my massage time. -my therapist, even tho nice, wont stop talking even though Im short and not engaging hoping she would be quiet and let me relax. -she comments that my room's door is constantly messing up and wont stay shut. Talk about being unable to relax after that comment. -she then walk around the massage table and room so heavily that i hear every step and movement. -she puts oils and lotion directly on my skin which is going on cold and at times the pump on the bottled would scratch my skin. I was hoping she would out it on her hands first then on me. -she offers to stretch my legs and arms. Legs was great and felt good on my lower back but my arms... lets just say that every time she pulled my arms, the sheet kept sliding down uncovering my breast (twice as I quickly pulled away to re-cover myself) which made it very uncomfortable and unprofessional. -it was a stone massage and she would hit the rocks against each other unintentionally but if she would have been more careful it would have been more relaxing that hearing rocks hitting each other over the relaxing music -she massaged each body part so aggressively/fast that i felt like she had 5 shots of expresso prior to my service, again, making it impossible to relax -towards the end of the massage I could hear people in the waiting area talking and laughing extremely hard. No employee, including my therapist cared to tell them to keep it low as there were some of us trying to relax -then I go to pay thinking this had all been a joke. I give a minimal tip for obvious reasons and leave after paying $150 for the worst experience ever. read more

I can't speak highly enough about Dominic, an outstanding massage therapist at Milan Day Spa. I've been getting massages for over 20 years and have had them in nearly every state and multiple countries. Dominic is absolutely one of the best I've ever had. He's professional, attentive to detail, and truly great at what he does. He takes his time and makes you feel like like he's focusing on your and your needs rather than spacing out and just going through the motions.
