Front counter staff was friendly, order out or dine in. The women's bathroom toilet didn't flush and sink was broken with a sign to use men's room sink. Margherita pizza sauce was eh, not sweet, leans more bitter. Dough had no flavor. They did give a good amount of basil. Husband's meat lovers pizza was greasy and slices fell apart. I was only able to eat a couple bites before I just couldn't anymore. The cannoli is filled upon order, so bonus points for doing this well! The cannoli had generous filling, very sweet, but flavor was just ok. I'm currently in MD, but originally an Italian American from NJ not far from NYC, we travel to find the best pizza. Had a slice of White Pizza (broccoli, garlic, ricotta, mozzarella, fresh tomato) and order of Pizza Fries (mozzarella, sauce). Both tasted delicious! The slice looked so good in the case I had to try it. I hadn't seen Pizza fries on a menu before so I had to check them out. I happened upon this place after a nearby appointment, looking for lunch and a restroom. They have a very comfy quick dining area, clean bathrooms, & nice low-key ambiance. Excellent pizza! Really wish they used DoorDash or had a delivery service, I'd heat here 3x a week. If you can't decide between cheesesteak sub or a pizza get the cheesesteak pizza! Best of both words, and I swear there's so much more on the pizza vs the sub sooooo good! I am a pickle fanatic, they do have a pickle pizza-but it had a couple cooked in, pickles on garlic base with cheese and little bit of bacon crumbles and ranch it wasn't my cup of tea, only taste of pickle pizza is only after bitting into one-you can always just try a slice to see if you want a whole pie. Staff is friendly, it's a nice cozy environment:) Menu is very reasonable, ingredients are fresh and high quality. There is no table service, but you can grab a menu, sit where you like and order at the counter. Oh the have fountain BIRCH BEER! I am disappointed with the steak & shrimp sub I ordered. Nowhere on your website menu or on your in house paper menu does it say that cheese is on this sub. I DON'T like cheese. My wife bought a 2nd steak & shrimp sub just to avoid an issue. That's not right!! Why doesn't it say cheese steak & shrimp sub. It has sub comes with lettuce,tomato,onion & mayo. The people saying the owner is a jerk simply do not understand that this man is from a different country. There is a language barrier but be patient like any civilized adult would be and you'll realize you made the right choice by eating here! Also don't forget that this is a PIZZERIA not an Italian restaurant, yes the food is Italian but when you go to a pizzeria expect to clear your own table and deal with people who mainly do carry out. I have only gotten carry out but when I went to the bathroom I was shocked by the amount of space they had for dine in. Not sure if it's BYOB but it might be! Pizza was decent but a bit too salty for my liking. I walked into the restaurant to place the order with the idea of stopping back in to pick it up. Having never ordered from them before, I was not aware of any of their standing specials. They did have a little board on which they wrote the daily specials, but nothing written about cheese pizza. I was confused over the sizes as the "specialty" pizzas seemed to come in different sizes, but nothing mentioned a plain cheese pizza. I told the woman at the counter that I just wanted to order a plain cheese pizza. She then asked me if I wanted a medium or a large, and I chose the medium. I paid her the $11 and change and left the restaurant to run another errand. When I returned to pick up my pizza, I noticed, in the corner of a banner hanging on the side of the building, a notation that on Mondays a large cheese pizza was only $9.99. I was miffed that the woman who took my order didn't mention that to me when I ordered. I picked up my pizza and asked if I was correct in understanding that I could have paid less and gotten a larger pizza because it was Monday? To which she responded, "Oh yeah, I guess I should have said something to you." I told her that that would have been nice considering I had no idea and had never been there before. I don't think I'm alone in feeling like everyone wants to get more for less if they can. I was at a loss to understand why she neglected to mention it especially considering the place wasn't busy and I was the only person there. It just left a bad feeling with me. I feel like good customer care would have required her to say something about the Monday special as it was germane to my order. I've tried this place multiple times and you can get pizza by the slice. The best part is that there are always new creations available. One night I tried spaghetti pizza. Didn't think the combo would work but it was a carb delight. You'll like how the reheat the slices and the crust has that New York pizza crunch. Have gotten carry-out twice and everything we tried was excellent. Pizzas are HUGE and toppings are plentiful. The Sicilian crust is very thick and their regular pizza crust is relatively thin, there's really nothing in the middle if you prefer a medium crust. Have also tried the Italian cold cut and the cheese steak subs. They were both delicious although eat them right away or the rolls will get soggy. All entrée dishes are served with salad. Their prices, given portion sizes, are quite reasonable. The eat-in restaurant area seems a bit small and crowded, and the ordering/waiting area is as well, especially when standing full. My only complaint, and this is really out of their control, is that the street and sidewalks leading to the shop are pretty wonky. Anyone with ambulatory issues may struggle and the rest of us need to pay attention to tripping hazards. Honestly, sidewalks aside, it's wonderful to see Locust Lane having a bit of a revival. read more

We tried it for the first time 2 weeks ago. Walked in and was ignored until I asked how things work. As I asked questions about daily specials clerk looked down and did not answer then when pushed nodded toward the chalk board even though my question was about the sauce. After ordering we sat down in the rear room that wreaked liked a cross between my grandmother's basement and a urinal cake (not an exaggeration), we had to sit next to a table piled high with dirty dishes and half eaten food. Then instead of calling out my name, kitchen staff shouted some gabled rendition of what was ordered, so it got cold. The Caprese was good once we walked back up to get silverware. My wife's chicken cheese steak was average, bread was soggy. My regular cheese steak I think was missing the steak or they only used one steak-um, and since I get grilled onions and mushrooms, I could have eaten it with a spoon but could only find a fork. After I carried up my dirty dishes and tray the clerk finally actually look at me and asked "How was it buddy, great?" I just said thank you and left. FOR THE PRICE I expect to be served and not shouted at, there should be a person to clear tables and get rid of that moldy basement smell. Makes me really wonder about the other place across the parking lot, the food and service is good there. I will think twice before going to that one too just for the sanitary reasons. If I had paid half the price, I at least could say I got what I didn't pay for, but it was not cheap. read more

They are horrible at their job I said twice my order was "for here" and they gave me a box for the pizza. And didn't give me my drinks until I asked for them. Then sat down with someone and tried to eat our food but an employee was staring us down and talking about us rudely and loudly to another customer.
