I went to see Linda a few years ago for the "virtual gastric band" sessions. I was looking through some old paperwork & remembered that I was going to write a review on this thing I put so much faith in. I can honestly tell you that this was a waste of time & money. I went in with my whole heart open & nothing ever changed....nothing! Perhaps I am not that easily suggestable. I do not know. Maybe I did something wrong....who knows. What I do know is that I was never "hypnotized". I could have gotten up at any time & walked out & drove home; & no suggestion she gave could have stopped me from doing just that. So why didn't I walk out? I suffered from politeness. Age beat that out of me; not hypnosis. I guess the bottom line is...If this sort of thing helps, then it helps. I personally would never go back to this person or any hypnosis type person....ever. I would much rather pay an actual degreed therapist & not a peddler of hokum. I had been debating doing hypnotherapy for a few reasons. I was pretty desperate to kick a habit and with all my own failed attempts, I started looking into hypnosis and figured I had nothing to lose. I found Linda through Yelp and all the great reviews and ended up doing the two session program for smoking cessation. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I went into it with an open mind and was really set on quitting smoking! After the first session, I can't quite describe what changed, it was like, I no longer had any urge to smoke. Completely gone. I woke up the next day a little skeptical of how I'd feel going about my day without the normal routines (would it be easy, or would it be a conscious battle all day long) and it was like smoking was never a part of my life. I didn't even have a thought, an impulse, nothing. It was simply something I used to do, but didn't do any longer, and my brain just, accepted that and it was no big deal. I was fortunate to not experience much in terms of "withdrawal" which was surprising to me because I've been a smoker for over 10 years. But now, I'm free! Highly recommend this approach if what you've been doing hasn't been working and you want permanent results. This was a 4 session program and really helped me solve some of the unconscious thoughts/habits I had around food and eating. I was having a challenge with anxiety for years, I tried therapy, natural meds, praying and meditation but nothing seemed to work. Honestly the best experience I've had in my life. Linda is the nicest made sure I was comfortable. Answered any concern and questions I had during all my sessions I had with her. This was my first experience with hypnosis and I am absolutely amazed by the results! I have tried various types of therapy and this was by far the most effective, in the shortest period of time. First, I didn't even know if I could be hypnotized. Second, I wondered what it would be like, because I've seen those performances where people cluck like chickens... I love Linda!! I first took her Hypnobabies class and she was so awesome and found out that she also does hypnotherapy and I really wanted to try it out. So I wanted to wait and see how well everything went. I have been dealing with various levels of insomnia for over 20 years. I completed the hypno- therapy about 2 months ago. So far I couldn't be happier. I have been sleeping normally since before the last session. My insomnia was the type where you will wake up 2 to 4 hours after going to sleep and be awake for one or two hours or even the rest of the night. No more of that. Linda from Life Renewal Hypnosis is a life saver! My 86 year old mother got her sleeping pattern turned around and was sleeping all day and awake all night. She got to the point where she hated her bed and wouldn't stay in it. We tried everything- when we tried sleeping pills she was so groggy that she fell twice so we couldn't use those. She was also saying that her pills wouldn't go down and that they were stuck in her throat when she took them. Linda used hypnotherapy on her twice. The first time Mom fell asleep but Mom did know she was under and she immediately quit having trouble taking pills. While she still had trouble sleeping, she then started staying in the bed - whether asleep or not. That alone was an improvement! We did another session the next week and now she is sleeping in her bed! It's still a work in progress since she's still not sleeping enough hours but each night there is an improvement thanks also to the recording Linda did for her. I went to Linda for hypnosis because I had a friend who was successful in quitting smoking. I had been a smoker for over 25 years and thought I'd give it a try. I made a promise to my daughter, after being shot in Vegas during the massacre, that I would quit smoking.
