It's rare I write reviews, but after my experience with Lifescaping Fence, this is a warning to future customers. I hired them to install a fence and gate, and while the initial installation seemed okay, the problems started soon after. The gate, which should have been a simple part of the job, has required multiple return visits--and it's still not right. Each time they came back, I hoped the issue would be resolved, but unfortunately, the repairs were either incomplete or created new problems. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with the same issue over and over again. I expected professional, lasting work, not a revolving door of technicians who can't seem to fix a basic gate. I would not recommend Lifescaping if you're looking for a fence company that stands by its work. The lack of reliability and quality, especially with something as simple as a gate, is disappointing. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. it makes since why they were the cheapest option when shopping round. The material is garbage. The quality and know how of the crew and their work is extremely sup-par. They destroyed my backyard and shot a nail through my window and didn't say anything. One plus is they replaced the window. But dealing with them to come back and fix all the shotty work on my fence was a nightmare. I have given up and will just have to keep the shit work. The manager doesn't call back. They no show no call 2 times. Refuse to do anything about it. I do not recommend. read more

A team of 2 workers finished each project in 1 day and were very friendly and accommodating. Glad my neighbor recommended them from very satisfying experiences in the Sacramento area. Company could further improve its product if its materials supplier would inspect the lumber to ensure top quality. Lifescaping just completed the fence . My wife told the installer that the gate latch was in the wrong door. He said to call customer service to have it fix, because, he didn't get any instructions from the previous crew. They rescheduled the appointment a couple of times. One crew showed and said the it was too much for two guys and left with all the materials. Then they scheduled for another day and cancel. The billing department called me to get paid and I told them about the latch and they said that there was $150 for the repair. I am waiting for a call to schedule the latch . Husband found them through Home Depot. Use them at your own risk.. 1. Lack communication (scheduled our fence project without telling us when the team would come, the team just shows up at our doorstep) 2. Took 6 months + to get our project started 3. Took the WORD of their sales rep Curt that the team would haul out all the debris and cement from old fence, but they didn't. We were left to spend $700 out of pocket to have everything removed because they left everything on the sidewalk! They said if it wasn't in the contract or there was no change order (which was told to us, is something Curt should have done), then there's nothing they can do! Even though their sales rep assured us they would. 4. Didn't finish our gate (it didn't close or open all the all way, nor did it have a cap, so our gate looked disproportioned from the rest of our fence!). Tried to get through to someone who could help but no dice. 5.It was not only until we had to dispute the charge for the gate that they contacted us back to see what the problem was. Their customer rep couldn't give me a specific date or time they would schedule to finish the gate. And AGAIN, they just showed up at our house without letting us know when they would be coming! NO call, NO text, NO voicemail, NOTHING! Just showed up at our house! What if we weren't home? 6. Save your money and a headache. Not worth it. The only good thing about them is Tumani (their newly hired customers relations rep) He's been phenomenal dealing with our situation and all the other customers who's also on the same boat as us. read more

I had my fence completed several month ago. When the workers were completed they had not followed what was on the contract and stated to call customer service to have the issue fixed. The planks were not nailed into the secured post to keep the planks attached to the frame. I had to go around and nail in the boards so they were not falling off. I have been back and forth with Home Depot and LIFESCAPING. LIFESCAPING had "scheduled" repair dates and every time they were suppose to show they "no called no showed" for the repairs. Lifescaping constructed a large, beautiful gate for us about a year and a half ago. It gradually started sagging inward, pulling away from the posts at the top, due to the weight not being adequately supported. Now I have to put muscle into lifting the gate every time I want to open or close it. OK. They recommended not making the gate so large. We wanted it that way, so they honored the request, but didn't warn us that repairs would soon be necessary. Now that we are outside the warranty, I said fine, we are willing to pay for repairs. They CANNOT seem to get it together to show up at the appointed time. I'm talking no show no call, and just an "I'm sorry" when I call to find out where the crew is. No problem, we'll send them out tomorrow. Again, no show no call. Not kidding. Communication is nonexistent. Completely done. My neighbor and I had Landscaping to come over to our property in the Sunset District in San Francisco to provide us with a quote since they worked with Home Depot. The Sales rep Fernando Medina, appeared in late July to inspect our fence and said he'll send us a quote the next day. We waited for a over week and we never received his quote. I even checked my junk mails as he suggested after calling Mr. Medina more than a week later. In addition, I definitely will not recommended this company due to their negatives reviews. I feel that Home Depot should take more due diligent to vet ir recommend any of their contractors to their consumers. By the way, we hired a local licensed contractor in San Francisco to replaced our boundary fence and we were more than happy with their quality of work. read more

Brake my adjacent fence and refuse to fix it - because it is within 24" of the new fence and claim it is not their responsibility. They also stepped on and broke multiple sprinkler heads and will not fix those either because of their 24" rule. They claim the 24" statement is in their contract, but it is not. Any other contractor I have worked would own their stuff and fix things. Do not recommend them. read more
