Wow!!! First time hot tub buyer and service here was top notch. Alyssa worked diligently with us to answer our endless barrage of questions, the tub arrived in a timely manner, and within a day of arrival, we were taking in some serious relaxation. I called Lifestyle last week as my Caldera Cantabria spa posted an error after draining and refilling during my regular maintenance and I figured I would need someone to come out and repair it. I did not purchase the spa from them and I was prepared for a costly service call to get the spa back up and running. Instead, Amelia was incredibly helpful. Not only did she take down all my information and verify my spa model, she discuss service call options but, more importantly, provided me with instructions on something I can try to resolve the issue before she scheduled the service call. The procedure she gave me was so simple I was sure it was not going to work. However, it did! It is so refreshing to talk with a company who prioritizes customer service over profit. They could have easily charged me for a service call and performed the same procedure to fix the problem. We purchased our first hot tub roughly six months ago but are still so happy with our tub that we were compelled to leave a review here. Can't say enough of how pleased we were with our overall experience with this company and in particular with the sales rep Lamonte. He was so patient and knowledgeable with us - we'd done some research but were still on the fence around the types of filtration system and even after we put initial deposit and order in he continued to help us work through our questions and concerns. Means the world, especially at that level of investment that he was motivated to ensure we had the tub that worked best for us. Like everyone else, we thought it a good idea to make our home an Oasis during the pandemic. We have also learned the fine art of patience. In the meantime, we shopped online for spas. There are many clownshows and charlatans out there ready to take your money. Where a brick and mortar dealer becomes golden is when the spa is delivered. The care and professional handling of you 800 lbs spa is better left to people you can trust. We are lucky to have Alyssa, Kelly, Jen, and Javier to hand hold, guide and be a supporting force that we continue to rely upon. I strongly recommend these good folks at this specific location. We are filling a formal dispute with Lifestyle Outdoor, a jacuzzi, hot tub and sauna company in Sherman Oaks, California. My wife and I make and initial deposit for a spa of $500 (statement copy attached) on 10/01/2021 for a patio project we were beginning for our home. During this project we received a cease work from city inspectors until an issue could be resolved. That order was given 3/10/2022 and was not resolved until approximately 3/1/2024 with work resuming 5/16/2024. As it had been some time since the initial deposit was made, we received a call from Lifestyle Outdoor that they could no longer hold the spa with only the initial deposit and would need to pay for half the bill in order for them to continue to hold the spa. That call was received 4/12/2023 and that same day we gave them $3,683.18 (statement copy attached) to make our payment 50% of the total cost of the spa with a verbal understanding that they would continue to hold our spa for us. With the restarting of our patio project, we contacted Lifestyle Outdoor to make arrangements to finally have the spa delivered only to find out that our spa had either been sold of salvaged as damaged, depending on whose story you would like to take, and we would have to start the entire order process from scratch with a minimum delivery time of 6 weeks or more. We would like to note that we were never told of them selling/salvaging the spa and, of most importance, was never given our money back for the spa that was sold/salvaged by Lifestyle Outdoor. As their communication was incomplete and their actions not to the standards we prefer to do business with, and the entire process from selecting, ordering and receiving product had to start from scratch, we went to the store for a refund of our money. At first, they refused to refund our money and only offered store credit on a new spa. We were told that the unit was damaged in storage and that, as it had been stored for over 2 years, they would just cancel the contract and not refund our money. As our conversation continued, they said that they would charge a 15% cancellation fee for the purchase of the spa. I do not consider the contract cancelled. Rather I consider the contract breached. We never cancelled the contract. Rather, we called to arrange for delivery instead. For the following reasons, we are making this formal dispute. Final note, salesman Spencer Claypool never offered to return any of our money. Be warned, once he has it, you will have to fight to get it returned. He should have been a used car salesman instead. read more

My wife and I stumbled in here a year or so back window shopping and dreaming of having a spa in our own back yard. With my wife's birthday coming up I got the idea of surprising her with a new spa. When I went back Kelly Lupori greeted me and after explaining a few minor details of what we were looking for (size, profile, 110 vs 220) she knew exactly which spa was right for us. I ended up going with the first one she showed me as it would fit 4 ppl but most the time will be just the two of us and be even roomier. The other nice perk was this could be connected to 110 rather then 220. We went with the Beam by HotSprings. I was also able to finance the spa which made it affordable to get. The spa is beautiful and runs great. My wife has been in it everyday. It even has a continuous ozone filtration system so it takes very little chlorine which is huge for us. Delivery was easy and they were even able to deliver the day before scheduled to avoid the crazy rain we were getting. I called Kelly the day before because I was worried the rain would push back the delivery which would ruin the b-day surprise. She made it happen and it was delivered an hour later same day! I couldn't believe it. The crew that delivered got it right in place, explained some basic maintenance information, filled it up and plugged it in. The next day it was ready to use. It was a great experience and we absolutely love the spa. Kelly was awesome from beginning to end and has followed up with me twice. Once to make sure the delivery went well and the second time to see if everything with the spa is good now that it's been a week since we received the spa. When we purchased our home it came with a really old hot tub, but as it still worked, we would go to LifeStyle Outdoor and they would always help us troubleshoot or order parts as needed. Well it finally completely broke, so we decided to spring for a new luxury hot tub and LifeStyle Outdoor was phenomenal. Our salesperson was LaMont, and he helped us pick out a fantastic new model and we were incredibly impressed with him throughout the process. He was always professional and helpful, had a wonderful attitude even when I was a little high maintenance (because let's be honest, I can be). He handled rescheduling delivery when the owner of the building (not LifeStyle) had to do repairs to the building that would interfere with our previous date of delivery. He was easy to deal with and always provided excellent service. My husband and I had many interactions with him and he went above and beyond every time. He is one of the best sales people we have ever dealt with. Overall, LifeStyle Outdoor has always been our go to and they never disappoint, in fact they always impress us! read more

I have to agree with many of the 1 & 2 star reviews about their service department. On the 15th of October I went into the Sherman Oaks location to setup a warranty service appointment related to a small plastic part that had broken off from somewhere within our spa. A service tech was there that morning and thought it might be an LED light lens cover. Instead of writing up a warranty related work order the sales staff told me I needed to contact their service manager Jennifer Thompson who wasn't in yet. They suggested I email her which I did that day along with providing photos of the broken part and her service technicians assessment it was a light cover. With Covid-19 negatively affecting businesses and the spa still operational I waited patiently for them to schedule a repair appointment. 3 months and several emails later she scheduled a repair appointment for January 19th. I drained the spa for repairs to be completed. The technician found the location from where the broken piece came, but then told me he didn't have the part. It needed to be ordered. After that I went into the store to speak with Jennifer. She told me I wasn't the only customer waiting on this same part like that was supposed to make me feel better that someone else was waiting too. She and the sales staff just kept assuring me the parts where on order. By mid February I went in again to talk with Jennifer and was told she didn't work there anymore, but again was told the parts where on order. I decided to see if the lens covers under the spa pillow was the same part and found out it was. I was able to remove and use one of them to replace the broken one behind the message lounger seat within the spa. I finally decided to call the manufacturer to see if they could help me with the replacement lens. I spoke to a woman name Jodi Coogan who was very apologetic on behalf of the manufacturer that my dealership had dropped the ball to such an extent. Within a week I had information about a third party business where I could buy the part needed to repair my spa. What's the use of having a 5 year warranty if you're forced to find a solution yourself? Lifestyle sells quality products as I've made two large purchases from them. They desperately need to invest in training their staff and on follow through. Reading reviews like these and taking them to heart would be a good starting point. read more

I wish I can give zero stars to this place. I called them for repairs of my jacuzzi as the breaker was constantly tripping. It took three weeks to get an appointment - but I understand they are busy...After a technician showed up late for the appointment, he suggested to replace the water pump for $800. I said if this will fix the problem, go ahead. He said that it will take him another three weeks to get new pump. I had no choice and waited another 3 weeks to replace the pump. However, the breaker kept tripping as before. I called back and was advised to wait another 2 weeks for an appointment as there is no availability. 2 weeks later, the same tech showed up. I don't know what he did but he left without saying anything. Jacuzzi was still not working. After leaving 3 messages at the service desk, finally I got a call back demanding another payment of 100$ for the 2nd visit. I told them that jacuzzi is not working and he needs to come back. I was told someone will call me back. I kept leaving messages for service but to no avail. I decided to call another company. 2 days later my jacuzzi is up and running for less than $200. DO NOT use this company for repaires. They are extremely unprofessional and not knowledgeable. They should not be in business. read more

Sales department has been great over the last 12 years but I finally called for Maintenance and after two weeks of getting the run around, I was told they cannot service the spa because they are too busy to crawl.... My spa has a deck built around it with an access panel covered by lattice that is close to the spa mechanicals, so its not wide open yet its still accessible. Make sure you get commitments ahead of time... ;-( read more

I bought my hot tub here a few years ago, and until recently always had help from a friend with the maintenance. I could test the water and add chemicals as necessary, but draining and refilling the tub, a requirement three or four times a year, looked complicated. My friend moved away, and I decided I'd better learn how to do it by myself. The owner's manual is actually pretty good; it could use a few more diagrams and pictures. There are pretty good tutorials on YouTube. I figured out how to empty the water, clean the tub and the filters, and refill it. But there was a trickle of water coming out of the secondary drain opening. I called Lifestyle Outdoor to find out what my options were. Jenn Thompson in the service department listened to my story, and told me how much a service call would cost, but also that there are a few things I could try to fix it myself. She asked me to make a video of the drain openings and email it to her, and she'd show the service technician. The next morning she called to tell me it was probably just a missing gasket in the drain cap, and I could pick up a new cap in the store. It worked. She even emailed to make sure everything was OK with my spa. She made me feel empowered and really glad I picked this company for my wonderful, luxurious hot tub. read more

There were amazing Memorial Day sales going on, and we took advantage!! Our space is very tight, only have a small corner to dedicate to a tub, so we got a great deal on a triangle shaped 2-person tub, Jim offered less than a week delivery time, aaaaaaanndd... We looked through the catalog and what was in the showroom and landed on the perfect one for me. I even did a "wet test" -- got into the hot tub and tried it out. They have great quality tubs. Do yourself a big favor and avoid this store. Giving 1 star only because Mike was trying to help the situation get resolved. Otherwise would be 0 stars. I call Lifestyle to inquire about ordering some parts. I was told I either needed to give a credit card or come in and pay cash up front before any parts can be ordered. I go in to the store the same day. Mike is gone and Greg is there. I explain the situation and leave a $100 bill for the parts. Greg assures me someone will call me in the morning to complete the order. No call back the next day. I call and Mike is unavailable. That was Thursday and no call back Friday. Now it is Monday and I show up at the store (2nd trip) and gripe a little about not getting a call back, but decide to go ahead and order the parts anyway. I order 2 gate valves and all the necessary O rings in order to rebuild the valves on a standard Jacuzzi tub I bought from them. 2 weeks later I get a call to come in and pick up the parts. I pick them up (3rd trip there) and when my repair guy shows up a couple days later he tells me they forgot to give me the main part (gate valves). I go back to the store (4th trip) and explain the situation. Mike "gives" me a complete valve assembly from the technicians truck and assures me the 2nd one (I ordered 2) will be ordered ASAP. Have my repair guy over again and he tells me that is the wrong gate valve assembly. I have him remove the old gate valve from the tub so I can verify and compare and take it back to Lifestyle and get the right part. Go back to Lifestyle again for the 5th time today and bring in the part I am missing in and explain the situation to Mike again. He says that he called and left me a voicemail earlier that day stating there was a $12 and change balance I needed to pay to order the second valve. Funny thing is I never received that call and there is no voicemail or missed call in my phone log. Anyway, he apologized and called the factory and got everything straightened out and we realize we have everything except the 2 correct gate valves. He goes in the office to discuss the situation with the manager. Comes back and tells me I need to pay for both valves and will give me a discounted price of $22 each instead of $30 each. Mind you this is 5 1/2 to 6 weeks after I initially ordered my parts. I explain to Mike that this is my 5th trip to the store (and numerous phone calls) and even though I feel as though I shouldn't have to pay more $ to get the order right, I am willing to pay for one and asked for the other to be at no charge for my trouble. Manager (Asian guy) comes out with a terrible attitude and accuses me of wanting free parts. I try to explain the entire situation and how difficult a process it has been and he then tells me that it is my fault for not knowing what part I need to order and that they are "Salesmen" not "Technicians" and that I should have payed $125 for a service call to have the technician come out to my house to tell me what parts I needed to order.! That is ludicrous. Why is it so hard to order a standard Jacuzzi part? This is after I bought my Jacuzzi tub and my entire backyard BBQ and other components from them a few years back. I then ask for my $ back and he tells me "All sales are final! And why would I want used parts back anyway?" (Parts were all in the same bags they gave them to me in and unused) Needless to say the situation got ugly from that point on and ended in an exchange of profanity. I was told to get the F out of his store and never come back. I responded with "F your store and F you!" I had to leave before I lost it. UPDATE Jul. 31, 2019: Poor customer service always seems to seep down from the top. Now I'm being told from the owner that I won't get any further service [some loss] unless I remove this review. Insert laugh emoji. He says this review is "inaccurate". I'm just reporting my experience and it is exactly my experience so far. I guess since they won't help me, let's see what other spa company can step up and provide adequate customer service and solve this leak. Over the weekend I had my carpenter take up a giant segment of my deck so that the tub will be able to be tipped in order to better spot location of any leak and am running my own tests. After sending pix to Lifestyle, I was told there is still insufficient access. I have been counting of them to guide me as to what kind of access will be sufficient, but it is hard to nail that down with them. They say they can't lift it out -- must tip it -- so I think I've created that access. So, yes all 500 gallons leaked out-- thanks--$$$. So he comes back to fix the leak--does whatever he does and, all the water leaks out. So, now I'm told there's this special hidden valve under my deck that I was never made aware of--never told by you guys to leave an access panel for-- that the water MIGHT be leaking from. Wow. Good thing I chose an $8K spa from Lifestyle Outdoor Spas, huh? Amazon, Costco, Depot, where are you?! I guess now I am hiring a carpenter to pull up the deck you guys installed my hot-tub in, Without an access panel to the mystery valve only you guys know about. I ordered a jacuzzi and upgraded cover for my client back in early March. While we received the hot tub and it works great, we have been waiting 10 months for the cover to arrive. They have been giving me the run around for over 6 months, blaming everything on Covid. In the meantime, I have ordered and received products from China, Mexico and Australia during the same time period. I understand a delay, but this is complete negligence. They will not return my phone calls or emails. The entire remodel has now been completed but I cannot close the project out with my client due to this one missing item. I got my J345 a few months ago, and the service from both Jeff and Jenn throughout the whole process of setup and coaching me through maintenance etc has been incredible! I can't believe the time and energy they've spent with me to make me super confident in maintaining proper balance and care for the hot tub. Most importantly during the heat wave there was an electrical surge and one of the fuses in the hot tub went and Jenn helped coordinate with a local technician that was able to drop off a new fuse the very next morning and I was back up and running without skipping a beat! They are great at selling you something. When it comes to repairs, they leave you hanging... no business sense... buy your Spa from someone else, you're better off. Beware: if for whatever reason they end the relationship to the manufacturer of your Spa, they leave you hanging. All I needed were two standard heater gasket replacements to fix a leaky heater connector, per mfg instruction... apparently a standard part that is first to fail in a Spa... they can't help me, because they don't support the Spa brand I bought from them 7 years ago... I spent over $10K and they lost me as a customer over umbrella cover. Horrible place, bunch of crooks. They advertise a umbrella for $349.00 when you go to buy it they want to charge you $399. When you mention the internet prize they say " oh sorry for that " so be careful before you spent money in that store. I ordered a spa umbrella from them, when I went to pick it up box was too big to fit in my car, so I asked them to take it out of the box, when I loaded the merchandise to my car, the store person took the umbrella cover from the box which belonged to me and kept it. When I called to inquire, I was told that cover was not included and they wanted to charge me $50.00 extra. Now mind you if the box was shipped to my house it would have come with the cover. I am puzzled and disappointed by the store owner or the manager whomever the Jeff guy was who had the courage to call me cell phone and yell at me that they did not steal from me.
