This review, while unbiased since I have no young people currently to raise at home nor do I…read morereceive any monetary benefit for my connection to this center, is written by a volunteer. I'm not an employee there (I'm an independent, occasional volunteer at several places including my own charity). My speciality is tutoring of all ages, writing articles and reviews for various publications (semi-autobiographical Kindle book of a female veteran forthcoming), so I thought it only fitting that I write their first review. So...onto my review of the newest Pasco charity for young people, nestled in the heart of the school zone. First, the details: 1. Seeks to serve a clientele who range in age from middle school to high school. That's generally 11+ 2. The owner and founder, Anthony Losacco, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's a social worker (caseworker) as his "day job," and I can tell in my interactions with him as both neighbor (since July 2018) and boss (December 2018-current) that he is sincerely interested in providing a much needed service that was not previously provided. 3. There is a board of directors that oversee, so the youth that attend and their partners are assured of discrimination-free services based on need of a safe, fun place to go, without regard to race, ethnicity, gender or gender identify, or interest (there is everything from board games to video games and free tutoring/classes on topics available). I've never seen a group of people put together something so nice, clean and classy, in such a short amount of time. Although, when I interviewed with him and got fingerprinted/background checked for the position, I began to understand how truly God must have given Tony a vision to reach an under-served, at-risk populace. Most of this is done out of his own time and money donations plus those of the volunteers and helpers who I've had the pleasure of meeting in the past six months. 4. Hours and activities TBD. As with any helpful social services nonprofit, it takes time to go from grassroots to a well-oiled machine. So, the beautiful locale is the result of a well-thought-out plan of action. My only hope is that many people in Pasco will step up to the plate...I'm a Hernando County resident with disabilities myself so my help and input are limited by that. But I have no less a heart to see these young people succeed. Bravo, to Anthony and Kiko; to all the volunteers and friends I've made along the way, and to area counselors, youth workers, and ministers I've met who have all presented this beautiful tapestry of supportive services and fun to area tweens and teens.

I highly recommend this agency for your adoption and I'll tell you why!…read moreThis was my second adoption and I chose this agency bc of the people, which were on my side from the beginning. I picked a different agency for my first adoption and let me tell you, it was like night and day. The first agency wasn't good, they never talked to me in person and never had my best interests as a priority, But a chosen child handled the baby's father situation and I never even had to deal with anything on my own. They handled all the legal stuff and what not. They knew exactly what I expected out of the communication with the adoptive parents and helped me pick the perfect family. Well, as soon as I saw my baby's parents I fell in love and knew that they were perfect. I fully trust Karen and Ashley, as those two were my number ones who helped me with anything! Karen deals with all the baby momma drama very well and does everything she can to help us women go thru this difficult time, she deserves a raise!! Karen supported me thru it all, helped me keep my emotions controlled and not all over the board, reminded me I'm not alone in the process and she was there every step of the way. Karen saw me at my worst times and still loved me, our relationship is purely built on unconditional love for eachother. It wasn't part of the program but they helped and supported me with accomplish big goals, like finishing nail school, finding a job and helping me find my apartment. They trusted me as much as I trusted them and I would have never done anything to hurt them or let them down. These people are god sent, they deserve a better reward than what they get, but seeing families grow bc of babies is a magical experience. My story is magical bc of Karen and A chosen child. I highly recommend going straight to this agency with anything you might need pertaining to you and your new growing baby. Tell them everything you're feeling and your expectations. They're so caring, open minded and NOT JUDGMENTAL. The best part about it, is if you don't wanna go to appointments alone then Karen WILL go with you, wanna keep the gender a secret or help with carrying groceries inside? Karen has ur back like she had mine. I want to finish by saying thank you for helping me find my new family and supporting me along the way. I'm forever grateful.

They do not answer basic questions about their procedures and policies. Responses are very short and cold. They are not communicating with anyone on Facebook, via phone, or email. They have been closed to in person visits for two weeks (which was supposed to be one week) due to another outbreak of kennel cough from what they told the public weeks ago. No updates anywhere including Facebook, their website, or via voicemail. They are actively ignoring the community and dozens of people have been waiting for weeks for information. There is a group of concerned animal advocates on Facebook that have been trying to figure out what is going on because now dogs are disappearing from their website and they are refusing to talk to anyone. I have worked in rescue my entire life and I've never seen anything like this. It is truly mind blowing. We hope the dogs are okay, but nobody knows because they won't talk. At this point, I don't know if we would believe what they say anyways. Trust has been broken. This is by far the most bizarre experience I've ever had with a rescue or shelter in all the decades I've been in rescue professionally and in a volunteer capacity. I used to donate to this place yearly and talk them up every chance I got, I won't be doing that anymore. They are doing the opposite of what a professional, compassionate, and legitimate 501c3 non profit does and it is making the community very uncomfortable. Something isn't right and everyone needs to be aware of what is going on.

She gave me a disgusted look when I walked in the door and it was obvious she judged me by my tattoos. They NEVER called my vet or references. The sweet lady in the adoption area was surprised the sweet kitty came out and relaxed in my lap. She stated she was going to let the staff know up front of receptive the kitty was because he is a hider. I own my home, my vet knows me and how well I take care of my fur babies. It is disgusting that personal feelings keep an animal from a good loving home. Luckily, another rescue was more than happy to allow me to adopt, but it is just sad for the animals at Suncoast, SPCA.
