Their answer - if we recommend upcharges and you refuse them, we cannot treat you at all. So you pay their extra prices or you can go see someone else. For context I avoided the dentist at all costs for nearly 25 years due to a pretty rough experience I had as a child which created a bit of a severe phobia (the kind where you seriously consider pulling your own teeth instead of going to the dentist). Like you'd expect my teeth became an issue that couldn't be ignored anymore and I began looking for a dentist. I stumbled across all west family dentistry and took a chance that has turned out to be an excellent choice. They have been incredibly patient and supportive all the way through & I could not have gone from being too afraid to sit in the chair to successfully getting a tooth extracted without their superb quality of care. From reception, to the hygienists, dental assistants, and the dentists themselves this place is great. I'd like to thank Dr Aguilar, his assistants one I believe is named Erica, the other who helped with my extraction I cant remember her name but she was very kind and helpful. The ladies at reception especially Heather are top tier, they have wonderful communication and help create an environment that makes someone in my position feel more comfortable. I actually had fun we laughed the entire time they worked on my teeth. And no I didn't have laughing gas. Dr. Schuerman has to be the coolest hippest most caring dentist I have ever met. She took her time, she explained what she was doing, she checked to see how I was doing. She gave me three shots and not one of them hurt. She was very professional. They prefer to fill rather than watch and wait to see if and little problem will actually form into a cavity. The dr felt very judgmental and only spent about 30 seconds looking in my mouth.
