The vet and staff treated our cat with care and respect. I highly recommend them. I would certainly use them again.

This doctor is absolutely horrible and rude. My dog, Lady, passed away unexpectedly after I took her to this vet twice within a week, spending thousands of dollars on tests. I first brought her in on Thursday, explaining her symptoms in detail. He immediately decided it was her teeth, ran bloodwork, scheduled surgery for the following Thursday, and sent her home with medication. He could clearly see she had lost weight--her only weight was in her stomach--but as a patient, I trusted his judgment. The very next day, Lady woke up vomiting four times. We rushed her back to the vet immediately and spent the entire day there--from 9 AM to 2 PM, running test after test. He recommended a diabetes test, which came back borderline diabetic which he said. Instead of treating that, he proceeded with another test for a urinary infection (mind you these test are $300 each) The results showed an infection, and he decided we should treat that first. He sent us home with more medication that obviously wasn't addressing the real issue. Lady was weak, drinking excessive water, throwing up, losing weight, and lethargic--all classic symptoms of diabetes And diabetes causes urinary infections--which he knows, and admitted to after I brought to his attention . My dog passed away the very next day after seeing this doctor. We rushed her to the ER, but she was pronounced dead. She got worse after seeing him two days in a row. When we contacted the vet, devastated and searching for answers, he talked over us the entire time, raised his voice, and hung up the phone on us for no reason--even though we were being calm and polite. When I asked for a refund, he initially refused, but then suddenly said, "I can give you $200," which felt like an admission of guilt. Now, I have useless medication* , no answers, and my fur baby is gone. I also requested Lady's paperwork, blood tests, and the results of all the tests done. He previously told us that he had consulted with a specialist on Friday, who instructed him to focus on the urinary infection. Yet when I asked for the specialist's information, he suddenly wasn't sure about that claim. Why? Why would he be unable to provide the other doctor's details unless he lied about that too? This man was careless with my baby. Lady never had any health issues--until she started going to THIS vet. Do NOT bring your fur baby here. And NEVER give your dog a vaccine shot. read more

I've been bringing my pets to Lifetime Veterinary for 5 years, and I've always appreciated the care and compassion I received from the front desk, especially Jaime, who has always treated my girls like her own. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me shaken. I called to follow up on bloodwork for my cat Paris, who had recently gone missing and just come home. I was already overwhelmed and emotional, but the technician I spoke with, Mary, was cold, dismissive, and aggressive in tone. I asked to speak to Dr. Dack to help me understand the results better, but Mary told me he would be out of the office all day. I was in tears and requested to speak to Jaime who as always, showed me kindness and support. Later, I found out that Dr. Dack was, in fact, returning later that same day. It felt like Mary was more interested in protecting herself than giving me the basic attention and care I deserved. What hurt even more is learning that when Dr. Dack returned and found out I had canceled my cat's surgery and requested all three of my pets' records to be transferred to another hospital, he never reached out to me. Not a phone call. Not an apology. After five years of loyalty, that silence spoke volumes. I no longer feel safe bringing my pets here. Compassion and transparency should be the foundation of any veterinary practice and sadly, that was missing when I needed it most. read more

I love the treatment that my dog has been getting especially now because Dr.Dack quickly diagnosed Charlie with pancreatitis. He is superb with explaining what is happening with Charlie and gave me two options to treat my dog. Non aggressive and aggressive . He explained both and I chose the first. He followed up with me every day until he knew Charlie was out of danger. Because Charlie has been healthy for 11years... I was so worried that Charlie might die from this diagnosis. Dr. Dack was very patient with my husband and I entailing the importance of STRICT LOW FAT DIET to avoid future episodes. Lifetime Veterinary Center has been such a pleasure to work with even in some of the most stressful situations. I first called Lifetime Veterinary Center about a week ago. When I called I spoke with both receptionists who went above and beyond to get my cat and I into the clinic THAT DAY to see Dr. Blair Dack. Upon arriving I was greeted by Jamie who was more than competent and sympathetic towards both myself and my cat. I was then put into a clean waiting room where the vet tech and the doctor were both quick to greet me, meet my cat and establish a diagnosis and treatment plan. The vet technician and doctor went above and beyond in educating me on my cats diagnosis and quickly relieved my stress and anxiety. On top of that, they were more than willing to shuffle their schedule around to get my cat into surgery THE FOLLOWING WEEK!!! (other clinics told me it would be 2+ months before they could operate on my cat). It became very evident to me that my baby was in the very best hands. Despite being diagnosed with stomatitis and having nearly all of his teeth surgically removed, I was not worried nor stressed about the procedure after meeting and establishing a relationship with the clinic. My cat was able to come home the same day and the surgery was a huge success! The clinic took their time to explain in great detail the aftercare and sent me home with everything my cat will need to begin his healing. The clinic has been wonderful about following up with me to see how my boy is doing too! The entire team at this veterinary clinic CARES. They show up for your animal and put their whole hearts into this and its very clear. You won't find a better group of people to care for your pets than this group right here! I cannot thank Dr. Blair Dack, Jamie, and my cats Vet Tech (I cant remember her name) enough. You guys have been very thorough, proficient, and dependable throughout this entire process. I made an appointment and got in the same day! I was really worried about my dogs eye and they made me a priority. I also found a lot of reviews saying this was a very expensive place- I beg to differ. They treated me like a person and not a money-bag! This was my first visit to the animal health clinic and the doctor and staff could not have been more wonderful. I had my grandchildren with me and one of the staffers Darla was so awesome with them explaining to them everything that was being done to our dog. Very expensive! Service is all around decent but overall they charge way too much. Unless you are filthy rich, I would not recommend this clinic. After a simple procedure, I was charged an over the top amount. I don't think over charging their customers is necessary. It's sad because I would have came back to this place but I really can't afford to. read more

I cannot day enough about Dr April. She saved our Leopard Gecko twice. Once we added a Zoo Med hot rock and it burned the poor little guys tail. Second time he was impacted. Well, the second time she did the whole thing on the phone on Sunday night while also tending to another patient. Amazing how much she cares about these animals. She is definitely not in it for the money. In fact, she didn't even charge me the second time. She was on the phone with me for 45 minutes!! Also...there isn't even another doctor with her certifications in Exotics/reptiles in the area and I live all the way in Jupiter. Wouldn't take my animal anywhere else. Thank you Dr April. They charged me $35 for a simple nail trim. That included $7 for a waste disposal fee. Really, $7 for nail clippings?

We've been looking for a new groomer for a while and couldn't be happier with this place! I was able to get an appt within a few days, and not weeks, like a few other places I called. This made me a little nervous. Why was it so easy to get in here? Would I regret my decision??? I met with Karen, the groomer, and couldn't have been more pleased! Thank God! She asked questions and really wanted to make sure the dogs were groomed how I wanted. I think it was awesome that she came out to meet them before taking them away to be groomed. While there, the Vet came out to greet another dog that was coming in for surgery- all of these little things make all the difference to me. Just show you care! My old hippie vet was awesome and would practically make out with the dogs. They just loved him and so did I. Unfortunately, we moved out of state and are now searching for caring replacements for all of these things. Back to grooming: The dogs looked great and didn't seem as traumatized as they have in the past- exactly what I asked for, which is such a relief after a few terrible grooming experiences recently. This clinic had such a great staff and I felt so comfortable that I'm even considering switching over to the Vets here. read more

I've been referring to Dr. Scott and Dr. April at the Animal Health Clinic for a good 10 years, if not longer. I wholeheartedly trust them with my parrots, dogs, and any other animal I rescue. This clinic isn't one of those mainstream cookie cutter clinics, instead they have heart, knowledge, and have been phenomenal in emergency situations. Although I live in Boca, it's well worth the drive for quality pet care. read more

I had a very problematic experience with Dr. April. While she appears to have impeccable credentials, I found her to be difficult and very expensive. I took my bird for a respiratory problem. As soon as my bird was in the doctor's office, she was put in an oxygen tent, although the Doctor had not examined her. It got worse from there. This was the first time that I have taken an animal to a vet, but never saw the vet; Dr. April only communicated with me over the phone. After almost $1,000 in procedures that I did not OK in advance, I was able to get my bird back home. Originally, Dr. April was going to conduct procedures that were over $1,300, but I was able to stop the financial hemorrhaging after I realized that Dr. April appeared to be just "throwing" procedures and exams at my bird to rack up the bill, apparently. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS VET. read more

We recently moved to the area and had to find a new vet for my rabbit, so decided to make an appointment with Dr. April to establish care for him since he has a chronic health condition. However, I cannot even adequately describe what a bad experience this was, although I will try to highlight the worst. To begin with, instead of just asking how we've been treating him in the past with our previous, very experienced vet, she proceeds to tell us what we should and shouldn't be doing and that our vet probably didn't know what she's doing (despite the fact that we had been successfully treating him for over a year for this condition). She gave us very questionable recommendations which she couldn't back up with a good explanation, and then proceeded to recommend multiple unnecessary major procedures and tests having nothing to do with any symptoms and the results of which would not change any actual management (mind you, we were never given a straight answer about the cost of anything by any staff member including cost of a wellness visit, instead we were always told they'd "have to run a quote for us and get back to us" as if there were no set fees and were using insurance, which we were not). Needless to say, our final bill was about 2 times what I would have expected. She then recommends a specific (also questionable) brand of pellets which she said she'd have to special order for us to buy from her office since we can't get them online, and I immediately find them on Amazon. On top of all of this, her bedside manner is extremely off and my rabbit was basically having a panic attack the way she was handling him which was very obvious, and which I pointed out to her, but she still felt the need to tell us his heart rate and respiratory rate were up and to "keep an eye on it." I don't doubt she's very dedicated to her practice since she's always on call but the way in which it is run is deplorable and we will not be going back... there are much better exotic vets in the area and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

We were recommended to Dr Blair Dack by Calusa in Boca Raton where we lived. Dr. Dack recently bought this practice in May. Dr. Dack offers a complimentary exam and we fully took advantage of the opportunity to meet the staff. We found the staff warm and welcoming and provides a complete array of services from boarding to grooming and excellent medical care. Our dog was bitten in a dog fight and was examined by Doctor Dack. We noticed the next day that our pet had a hidden puncture so we returned to the office fully expecting to be charged for the visit. Doctor Dack examined the wound and said it was not serious. When we left we fully expected to pay for the visit but was told there was no charge. Needless to say we were very pleased with the services our pet received and would highly recommend this compassionate office for your pet. read more

Took my 2 dogs in to get a health certificate to travel to the Bahamas. After 3 hours and more than 1000.00 I left feeling, not only had I been taken advantage of, but I was terribly overcharged. I called and asked other vets and their pricing for the same certificates was less than one third the price. I had to refuse to allow Dr April to overnight these certificates at a charge of $300.00. The office visit was terribly confusing and I thought the whole time that Dr April either had never done such a certificate or was trying to add to the cost of the visit. We will not be taking our dogs back to see either of these Vets. read more

Dr. Scott Martin is such a wonderful , caring, knowledgeable vet. He has treated my Westie and Toy Schnoodle for many years. Almost 4 years ago my Westie started having problems with her eye. I went to a couple of eye specialists that wanted me to travel far from home and spend thousands of dollars for more testing and removal of the eye. My options were to put her to sleep or remove the eye. We chose to remove the eye. Dr. Martin said he believed he removed all of the cancer. It has been almost 2 years now and she has been back to her happy self since a few weeks after the surgery. Dr. Martin is the only vet I would ever trust my 2 little dogs to. read more

I believe if one leaves a negative rating for a place of business that it should be accompanied by an explanation. Number one, after a few years of using the services here it is obvious that there has been a change of ownership or staff. After speaking with the nice young lady initially, the fat chick that butted in at the desk was extremely rude. Number two, in a year and a half their services have doubled for boarding and they are requiring services to be done that are not necessary. Number three, which is the most important! This establishment's credibility is severely in question: a. Requiring that my dogs fecal sample be sent out to be tested in place of an in-house test, which in the past was not so and at double the price. This was because I decided to have my dogs health care and shots done at another location b. I requested that I be notified of the results of any tests to discuss what actions would be taken if something was found, this was not done. My dog had supposedly tested positive for the only type of worm that is not prevented by the trifexis (that she is currently taking). They did not inform me of this like I requested and when my stepdaughter came to pick up the dog they refused to give her up until $80 more was paid. She was told the extra charge was for the medication c. They office still has yet to call and talk to me directly. read more
