He robbed me of my savings by lying and telling me to pay out of pocket and he would fix my near and far sightedness while he took care of cataracts. He is a smooth talker but not to me, he was rude, he brushed me off. I kept asking about when I would finally see again and he kept telling me to come back and each time CHA-CHING, another copay. For what? My primary doctor told me she stopped sending patients there due to his UPCHARGES! There is nothing I can do. He took my money and I am unable to have another eye surgery or I would risk having a detached retina, or worse.

Thank goodness Costco replaced them with the correct prescription AFTER MY SECOND VISIT where they apologized for the mistake. They had many seniors waiting in the waiting room, so I think they do a fair amount of Medicare business ? It is a real run-them-thru assembly line of patients. AND my visit(s) cost over $400. Just got my lasik done with Dr. Moreira on 8/18/16; it was a wonderful, fast and painless…read moreprocedure. Before lasik: I got my consultation and they ran some tests on my eyes to see if I would be a good candidate for lasik. The entire consultation was around 30 minutes. It was very attentive, and I was never kept waiting. After Dr. Moreira had told me I was a good fit, Kathy helped me booked my appointment, and follow up. She sent me eye drops to pick up at my local pharmacy the day before surgery, and additional drops to purchase. She went over the price, and told me the payment would be received on the day of the procedure. She was extremely helpful! Day of lasik: Before getting lasik they reexamined my eyes one last time. Afterwards, Kathy sat down with me gave me a Xanax, and two Advil. She went over my post op instructions and handed me a bag of goodies! Kathy then guided me into the relaxation room where I waited to begin. A doctor came into the room and gave me some numbing drops and had me lay on the bed. The procedure was very quick and I was under the laser for less than 10 minutes. I felt some pressure but nothing was painful. After it was done Dr. Moreira helped me get up, she looked at my eyes, gave me sunglasses, and I was on my way! I did feel some burning sensation afterwards but once I got home it went away. I went home took the Xanax they prescribed to me and went straight to bed. I woke up with better vision without glasses or contacts! I took the eye drops as told and the artificial tears when my eyes are a little dry. Follow up appointment: The day after I woke up with great vision and drove myself to see Dr. Moreira. They reexamined my eyes again and told me I looked good. I have another appointment in two weeks! Overall, my experience was great. I definitely recommend getting lasik here. Everyone is great and makes you feel very comfortable. They took my nerves away! It is extremely worth it. Thank you Dr. Moreira and Kathy for such a great experience!

A welcoming staff member at the front, snacks and beverages in the comfortable waiting area, and from the size of that waiting area I could tell right off that it wouldn't be a crowd scene here. The technician who started my appointment was professional, friendly and answered all questions. That was a thorough eye exam! Dr. Moreira was also very professional pared with a friendly manner that I totally appreciated. No hard sell of any products or procedures, just this is what I see happening with your eyes,this is what you'll need when you're ready, let me know what you want to do and when. There's an optical area in the office, but again, no had sell of eyeglasses- your new script goes out the door when you leave.
