There are just two rooms, one much smaller that seems to serve more as an entryway, and the second is the actual reception/event room. Frankly, I'd expect a little more of an event center in day break, but it's certainly not bad by any means.

There's plenty of parking and the event space is all windows-so you have unobstructed views. What it lacks is any real outdoor space. The building is surrounded by parking lot. If your event is indoor only, that may not matter. But if you want beautiful gardens or outdoor space, you'll need to look elsewhere. The main space has a modern industrial feel. There is an elevator or you can take stairs to the third floor. It has a very office-complex feeling to it. But it's open and clean. They do allow alcohol, keep in mind that you have to wrap up serving by 9pm. For the right event, this might be a good place. I'd encourage you to take a tour and see for yourself if it will meet your needs.

We had plenty of space for a dance party and for people to sit and just enjoy themselves! The price is so reasonable and comparable to many other venues we've looked at! They have the Coca Cola freestyle machines. The Diet Coke brew was good. The imax theater doesn't have lounger chairs, but it was still pretty comfy. But we went to their competing theatre this week and it may have put the nail in Megaplex's coffin. Out of the last 8-9 movies I've seen, they have had kettle corn available only once. And it literally tasted burnt. The kid said, "Oh yeah, we ran out of sugar..." And the other times they just said, "We don't have any." On our last visit, we saw quesadillas were back on the menu so we ordered one. NOPE. The kid said, "Our grills aren't hot..." My friends and I are kettle corn people. We don't go for the buttered popcorn like everyone else. And now that it's consistently unavailable, we will indulge in our sweet and salty delight elsewhere. On top of that, the new app doesn't show your loyalty rewards points. So yeah, not loving what Megaplex is(n't) offering.

The only reason we rented that particular building was because it had A/C when we visited. They put in industrial evaporative coolers which the noise level was overwhelming along with the humidity. After we requested a partial refund they immediately said the A/C was not broken. We have 40 guests who would say otherwise along with the fact their Venue Coordinator who delivered the bad news. Just a side note their 3 stall bathroom is actually a 3 Station Portable Restroom Trailer.

To start, South Jordan City Hall has a unique location, nestled right next door to The Pie Pizzeria and in the Towne Center complex, which is chock-full of eateries and convenient local businesses. Going into the City Hall -- which was open some 16 years ago -- one thing strikes me: IT'S QUIET. This isn't your bustling City Hall with lawyers scurrying around and dress shows clomping on the hard floors. Quiet. Stunningly quiet. Probably the quietest, emptiest "business" in the Towne Center. Maybe that's the vibe they're going for. It by no means is a place that either says or infers to "stay out" but, man, it's quiet. All that quiet means plenty of high-quality customer service. Their informative staff has plenty of info at the ready about the city and upcoming events (and an insider's knowledge you may not get just looking at their Web site). And it's actually very easy to get a meeting with a councilmember or the Mayor, if the necessity strikes. Maybe quiet City Halls are the way things are now, be that we have everything online ... and the necessity to deal with some utility bill dispute can be handled with an e-mail or getting a planning blueprint can be imported via PDF online. Hell, I licensed my small business without leaving my couch. South Jordan has so many top flight facilities -- a Community Center, a Fitness & Aquatics Center, a golf course, and an abundance of trails and parks. No wonder things are so quiet in here ... everybody's out using all the facilities and places South Jordan has to offer!

They still offer the same wonderful events as before, as far as I can tell. I've attended a stock show, a county fair, a city festival and most recently, a dog agility show here. It's an arena with multiple uses and they do a good job of keeping it full of action. There are indoor and outdoor areas and a ton of parking. It definitely has a "rural" feel to it, even though it's in the city. My only complaint would be that the bathrooms are really run down. Most of the stalls in the ladies' room were out of toilet paper and/or didn't have locking mechanisms on the doors. It could be that this was on a Sunday and the janitorial staff wasn't on duty, but there were lots of people there for an event and I'd imagine that could have been a problem for others.
