I've been wanting to do microblading for years since I've been blessed bad eyebrow genetics. So, when I heard about this technique about 5 years ago I was always very curious about it. I put it off for so long since I have very sensitive skin on my face and always feared the pain and healing process. Plus, It's your face! So I wanted to wait until I found the right person to do this. Luckily, I found Katrina through a friend. After spending too much money on MAC eyebrow pencils for a few years I finally messaged her on instagram and made an appointment. I was nervous of course when I showed up but she made me feel very calm and comfortable. She took her time with the outline making sure it was perfect and I was happy with the shape. I have to be honest.. it was a bit painful for me at times (again, sensitive skin over here!) but Katrina did a great job checking in with me and I didn't feel at all intimidated to tell her I was feeling some discomfort. I don't know where to start, with this review. About 6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. 2 weeks ago I had to have a mastectomy and will start Chemotherapy in 2 weeks. I reached out to Katrina over the phone to explain my situation, I told her my goal to have micro blading done, as most likely I will lose all my hair/eyebrows during the process. Katrina suggested I get my doctor to approve the treatment before she could work on me (this was my first indicator that she was very detailed oriented). After getting a doctor's note and approval I scheduled my appointment. Katrina was very accommodating, quick scheduling. Katrina works in a very nice hair salon, her station is neat and clean (very upscale). First Katrina took her time explaining the different types of treatment, she measured my face and forehead, evaluated my skin tone and suggested for me to get a "powder brow" treatment. Let me tell you, Katrina is extremely detail oriented. The stencil around the shape of my brows took about 40 minutes alone!! The next 40 or so minutes she worked on my eyebrows and it was painless. The results were amazing, she made my brows look natural but more enhanced, better than I could have expected. I was so happy with the outcome and I was in awe of her workmanship. And then when it was time to pay her, Katrina said to me "I don't want you to pay me, I want to give this to you". I could not believe her gesture and demanded that I pay, but she wouldn't let me. All I can say is I cried and didn't know what to say. This woman is not only amazing at what she does, but she has a heart of gold. I overplucked my eyebrows a long time ago and needless to say have been filling in the bald spots I created every single day ever since. This is a long overdue review for an amazing member of our community! I stumbled upon Katrina when I was helping with our 20 year Dana Hills High School reunion. Our class decided to make it a benefit for a local class member and father of 5 who had been hit by a drunk driver and had a TBI (traumatic brain Injury).
