The only thing this company lifted up for us was excuses. Originally scheduled a move for Monday and this got delayed to Wednesday due to snow. Said we would be first thing in the morning on Wednesday at 9, but this was a lie. On Wednesday morning at about 10:30 I spoke with a gentleman that was trying to figure out what was going on and said he would call me back right way - spoilers they never called me back. Someone else happened to speak to my wife and said they couldn't do the move on Wednesday and they were passing us off to another moving company, Lifting Done Right. They said they may be able to fit us in that day between 2-5. Called Lift Moving multiple times looking for an explanation / solution and left several voicemails that they didn't bother to call me back. Pathetic company that I will recommend nobody ever uses. read more

I moved into a new place this past week and have nothing but good things to say about my experience with lift moving! From the very beginning, everyone I spoke to on the phone was polite and professional, and I was confident my move would go smoothly. I received a confirmation call the day before, and they also gave me a heads up about 30 minutes before they would be arriving. The movers came exactly at the time they said they would (which you know if you've hired movers before can be a total hit or miss), they handled all of my items with care and had me completely set up in my new place super fast. The movers damaged my hardwood floors and a window blind. Jared told me that would take care of repairs but, immediately went silent the next day. Would not return my calls or texts. Lane told me that they did not do repairs. I will be out several hundred dollars because of this company. I would stay as far away from them as possible. read more

Huge Scam - never showed up to pick my items

This is a result of service and correspondence after movers broke a desk with zero resolution or care by the company. The move which was twice as expensive as quoted due to unrealistic expectations which ended up over $1400. Started with a broken desk due to complete carelessness. The desk was broken before it even left my house. Not during the move or in the truck. After reaching out after which was instructed by the team member, emails and calls being ignored multiple times trying to get a resolution. After a month of emails and calls ignored, I reached out to the BBB. They stated they had offered me compensation multiple times and even stated we spoke. All false. After they completely misrepresented their efforts to reach me, we came to an agreement for some type of reimbursement (which was minimal), it was never sent. After reaching back out to the BBB, the company chose not to participate and ignored all communication. read more

I needed a company for a small 1bedroom apartment the next week. I was recommended Lift by my mortgage broker and gave them a call. They had an amazing deal on my Monday move and we set up the date. The team of Rich and Gary were great. They were courteous, conscientious and professional. Our things were wrapped and blanketed if not in a box. The entire move took three hours and we were told upfront the deal price would extend beyond the first two hours. After the first two hours you paid by 15min increments. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have recommended them to all my friends. Five stars to Lift!! read more

Furious! They never showed up and never called. I have wasted my entire Saturday giving Lift Moving the benefit of the doubt to hear from them, to no avail!. They were supposed to be here between 10-noon. I have not heard anything from them AT ALL, after several attempts to contact them. I have waited over 5 hours and tried to contact them 4 times! They provided me with a courtesy call the night before as a reminder, and STILL didn't show up. Go with someone else you can rely on, your time is too valuable! An update... Six hours after the scheduled time, the movers did call and come to move my items. They were very kind and apologetic, but the fact is I wasted an entire day not hearing from them. I used Lift Moving in August, 2016 to move. Jared quoted the price of the move, but failed to mention an additional charge of $150 to move my refrigerator. The Lift mover informed me of it during the move, saying the refrigerator was oversized. It was a normal sized fridge with French doors, the size appropriate for my 1750 square foot townhouse. If there was to be an extra charge, for any item they might consider to be oversized, it should have been disclosed in the quote. But the worst part was that one of the Lift movers carelessly placed a queen-sized headboard in the driveway; it fell and the wood was scraped up and gouged. I talked to Jared about it; he said to have it repaired and the company would reimburse me. After having the headboard repaired, I sent the invoice to Jared, and he has completely ignored me. If you're looking for a moving company with integrity, I wouldn't recommend Lift Moving. read more

I was moving from Denver to Tampa and hired Lift Moving to pack some U-boxes for me. To make this short and sweet they broke my glass dining room table from Scandinavian Designs. They were wrapping it with blankets and shrink wrap and had already removed the screws from the legs. One of the movers tried to cut the shrink wrap by pulling the wrap on the corner of the table. Instead of tearing the shrink wrap, it pulled the entire table off the legs and it shattered the table. I spoke to Jarod and we worked out a deal that he would give reduce my bill by 3 hours and send a crew over the following day to help me pack one additional box. The crew never showed up and no one ever gave me a courtesy call. And, when i called into Lift moving to find out what was going on, the guy that answered the phone said "we already gave you 3 hours off the bill". He went on to say that if they break something, they are only legally obligated to pay $0.60 (60 cents) for every pound broken. That felt rubbing salt into the wound. I did receive a call from Jarod later that evening saying he could have a crew out the next day but really didn't see the sense in making another deal with someone who charged my credit card and didn't honor the deal we had originally made. Overall the crew was very slow and took lots of breaks and they took 6 hours to load 3 uboxes. The only silver lining to this story is I hired another moving company off craigslist which was only $50 hour, cash only. They came over the next morning and worked hard and got my ubox loaded in an hour. I'm really confused by all the other positive reviews out there and I can only surmise that my crew was exhausted when they showed up. If there is a learning experience in all of this, don't ever schedule an afternoon crew. read more

I decided to hire this company on the recommendation of a friend and based on all the great reviews. I'll say that Taz and Aaron did a good job, but that's really where my praise ends. We were sent a confirmation saying our movers would arrive between 12 and 3pm. Because of a "complication", they didn't start our move until 5:45. My partner took the day off from work to be home to meet them and they showed up over 2 hours later than the already large window of time they quoted us. When I emailed them to voice my concerns, I was offered a discount on our next move. I'd really hoped for better in the way of customer service, but I was disappointed. read more

That morning the guys got there early and were very clear with the pricing and contract, there were no weird or hidden fees and the price was super reasonable! What an amazing experience! We just found out our move in date 10days ago. By the most random luck we stumbled upon a lift moving flyer, called them up and they were able to accommodate us. Aaron, Brandon and Taz came over on time, were friendly and worked really hard( we were two stories up) they moved us in 2.5 hours!!!. And the final cost was just over $200! We used this company to move furniture out of a venue that was being used for my sisters wedding. Jared was very helpful when it came to communicating about removal, the price, and getting the furniture back at a time that would not cost us more money with the venue. Due to a sudden change in weather there was some inconvenience with removing furniture while setting up inside at the same time. I understood this was not an ideal situation but it still needed to get done. Instead, the movers sat in their truck for awhile before coming in to get started and then when they did come in they stood around complaining before they began to work. It was not a very professional way to handle the situation and added unnecessary stress on the day of. Other than that they got the furniture out and back in for the promised cost. read more

These guys did a very good job. They were quick, friendly, efficient, and honest. The final price came in under the estimate. The ONLY complaint I have, and it was pretty minor, is that the leader of the group (Johnny) called in for an extra man and extra truck without consulting me. This of course changed the structure of the pricing, and he made a judgment call that it was going to be the most efficient. I think his judgment was correct, but it felt like a decision that should have included the client, since it was increasing the hourly rate. read more

Highly recommended. Had them over to move furniture up and down, all over the house and take some big pieces to the Goodwill. Very professional, very careful with the furniture, noticed they placed mats on hardwood floors so nothing would be scratched. My wife and I recently purchased a house and hired this company to move our furniture. I was never told about a $300.00 cash only insurance fee upon arrival which the driver suggested not to pay since he could foresee no problems with this move. I was told prior to arrival 3 guys would show up with a fully stocked truck blankets, dolly's, carts & shrink wrap. I was told they would wrap everything in shrink wrap prior to moving it. The truck had blankets & carts no shrink wrap at all someone had to come drop it off. So since they were there they got started they all introduced themselves and immediately I smelled the scent of marijuana on one of them. Not happy but hey who am I the company is insured and hire who they want right my stuff should be fine right? Wrong this guy it looked like it was his first day on the job always looking lost and not having a grip on things they way a person should in that line of work I personally saw him drop a few minor thing and who knows what he dropped when I wasn't looking. They had a hard time taking apart a bed no power tools mind you only hand tools to do this job and I had to provide most of them. After 6 hours of work mind you the quote was 4 hours. the guys were getting agitated and I overheard one of them using foul language while putting my bed back together this was it I had enough of this company I ASKED THEM TO REMOVE THE FINAL ITEMS FROM THE TRUCK AND LEAVE MY HOME. The bed was not finished being put together and the furniture was all over the house I just wanted them out I was paying them for more time than it should've taken any professional moving team. My wife came home that night and noticed all kinds of scratches on the wood furniture and we looked at the contract and it stated something about once I sign they are not held responsible for the condition of the furniture. I was soo fed up I told them to leave wrote a check and signed the form mad.......... I think they do this on purpose to piss you off as the job comes to an end so that you sign the paper and get them out so you don't look at any damage they may have done. WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!! Advise; pay the extra bit of money and go with a name brand trusted company. Sean C. read more

If I could give less than 1 star it would happen. The movers themselves were great, but sketchy. Upon myself arriving home I had realized we were missing Our brand new water jug that had a filter in it, brand, ZeroWater. we thought no big deal, $30 filter, buy a new one move on. Now we were looking for a movie the other night, both of us working very busy schedules with animals as well as other things, we had not fully unpacked yet. We were looking for one very specific movie, upon looking through our boxes we realized we were missing a box. This box had at LEAST 50 movies in it. We know it wasn't left accidentally in the old apartment as they have not contacted us saying so and we personally checked that apartment 2 or 3 times to make sure everything was out of it. On top of that without us being told prior to the movers arriving they would not take anything that was open or not secure in any way. Resulting in us having to move at least 1/4 of our stuff. Though they have no issues charging us full price. I will be contacting them personally by email and if I do not receive word that they have our movies they will be getting sued. I would not recommend this company, in fact I recommend steering VERY clear. read more
