Light House Coffee is an incredibly cute and delicious place to visit! My friend and I needed somewhere new to study for exams and decided on Light House. The atmosphere and decor is clean, yet comfy at the same time. I ordered the garlic herb cheese toast with an iced vanilla latte. The man at the front who takes your order and checks you out was so sweet and friendly and made sure to hold conversation which I personally believe is a major key to a successful business. My toast and coffee were both delicious and we were able to study hard due to the noise levels being moderate. CC's and Starbucks definitely have another competitor in the coffee house race! read more

Wow! This place is awesome. Lighthouse is relatively new (approx ~1 year), but the vibe here is really different (this is coming from a coffee-shop enthusiast). Open layout and beautiful aesthetics, really sweet workers, and really good food (I recommend the avocado toast and the blueberry maple toast). Not to mention how pretty the lattes come out (I've tried vanilla latte and the cinnamon roll latte; It's as good as it gets!) Only thing is that sometimes have to fight for a table when I come here, but that's just because everyone else knows how great this place is! read more

Nice first expereince with this shop today! The chocolate biscotti and drip coffee were great, and my boyfriend enjoyed his chai latte. I'm so happy to have Light House as an option in BR! First of all, the decor is adorable and it's such an open and welcoming atmosphere. The baristas are friendly and chatty (love) and happy to make recommendations. The owner even took the time to message me on Yelp to let me know about some of the vegan options they have. After she did, I went in right away and was not disappointed. There was a vegan banana bread, and there are nondairy milk options. My lattes and cappuccinos are always well made and served with a smile. Somehow I have managed to come in when it's never really crowded, but I've heard it gets pretty busy! I can't even say enough great things about this place. They have unique coffee drinks like lemon lavender cold brew and a lavender latte, which are both pretty good. The lemon lavender coffee seems a little weird in theory, but it's refreshing and I can't say I've ever had another drink like that. They don't make their drinks too sweet like a lot of other places and are always coming up with new things to try. The pastries are yummy too. Next on my list to try is the funky-sounding cereal iced coffee! I have always had positive experiences with the employees, they make you feel very welcome and are nice, friendly people who are happy to help you. I even left my wallet here accidentally the other morning and didn't realize until the end of the day. When I called, they already had it set aside for me and let me come pick it up even though they were officially closing up shop. If this had happened at any other place, I'm not sure that it would have ended the same way. They even gave me a little discount for bringing my own cup, which makes me feel even better about trying to be eco friendly :) The whole atmosphere of this coffee shop just feels great: modern yet cozy, and a great place to study. It does get really packed with students when LSU is in full swing, so be wary of having trouble finding a good spot sometimes. Overall I would highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone! read more

It's nestled next to New York bagel and Snap Fitness. just standing outside you would never know what a beautifully decorated coffee shop I'll wait for you inside. When you walk in you'll first notice the high ceilings, garage door, refined leather couch, and high elegance. They are known for their trademark Italian espresso machines. One of my favorite drinks is cereal seeped in milk latte. They serve best avocado toast topped with feta cheese in town. They offer outdoor seating, quiet atmosphere, great coffee in good food. Nestled among the hustle and bustle of Lee Drive lies this gem. The first thing that strikes me as I walk up is the open floor plan and the bright, cheery, yet modern decor. I thought, "This would be a perfect place to study or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee". The menu was simple yet it had any thing a coffee lover could ask for. I got a cappuccino which was made with love and topped with colorful sprinkles. I paired my drink with a lemon blueberry scone and homemade lemon curd. Now, this is not the typical USA hard as a rock, soak it in coffee before you take a bite coffee. This scone was English style and soft as a freshly made biscuit and paired perfectly with the Lemon curd. So delish! Finally, I love the concept of this place, and the shop on the side with so many beautiful and colorful hand made goods. I wish there were more places like this in Baton Rouge read more

A good coffee shop relatively close to campus. I got the chai latte and my friend got an iced vanilla latte. My friend ordered the drinks so I can't say much about customer service. My only complaint would be that the chai latte could've been hotter, it was slightly above warm which meant by the time I was a quarter into it, it was lukewarm (still delicious nonetheless). It was pretty popular seeing as it's a light airy space. I would come back, but probably during off hours. read more

I love that they have some house made syrups and that they care about making a drink you are going to enjoy. Wow. My mouth is getting watery just thinking about this review. I'm not sure this place could have done anything more perfectly during my visit. I wanted a quick, hearty breakfast and coffee before work. I had been looking into the place for months. It's 15 mins, the opposite direction from work but I had plenty of time so decided this was the time to do it. They have a few tables outside to enjoy some coffee on a beautiful day. When I walked in the decor is modern, clean, and leaves a good first impression. The staff all greets you with a smile, or so it appears since they are all wearing face coverings. I looked at the posted menu for a few minutes, the cashier had asked me to let him know when I was ready and if I needed any assistance. When I was ready I ordered the cinnamon roll latte, and a maple blueberry bacon toast. The coffee came out first and was delicious. Thankfully it wasn't too sweet or sugary, but just the right touch. The toast was phenomenal. It's presentation was great, it looked too pretty to eat. Once I did bite down... WOW. The combination of toast, cream cheese, fresh blueberries, bacon and syrup was perfection. The toast was a nice, thick slice that was toasted just right. The bacon, was a thick cut, and crispy. The maple syrup was the Perfect way to connect the flavors. I'm excited to visit this place again. read more

I'm so glad my friend suggested this cute little coffee shop! It's really popular in BR, and I saw that from the amount of people in there when we went to order! It is definitely worth the hype! The coffee and food is quite delicious! I wouldn't recommend going there if you are looking for quiet study, but if you have a group project or want to catch up with friends then this is the place to go! The barista was very helpful in all things coffee and helped me get the perfect order (since I'm just staring to drink coffee more!) The cinnamon roll late was so good, although it did not have much of a cinnamon flavor, I liked it. The late art was also very nice! I also ended up getting the fig and prosciutto toast! I was debating between that and avocado toast, but I wanted something different! I have to say it was really good! The melted cheese with fig and prosciutto was a fantastic combo! Its a little pricier and its non-coffee options are lacking, but the atmosphere is a little more uppity and you are more likely to incur social interaction here. I definitely recommend the cold brews or the chai teas. read more

I don't know what it is about their coffee, but I feel much more energized after one of their coffees versus Starbucks where I need at least two drinks to get that energy. Great coffee shop and a place to study! Has a very hipster vibe, definitely a coffee shop you'd see in NYC or Houston. I really enjoyed their lattes, especially their cereal latte. Their baked goods are also yummy. The shop has a very open layout with many outlets and free wifi! Plenty of space to study. There's even a room in the back that you can reserve for any group studying if you wanted. Everyone who works here is also super nice! Great place to enjoy some coffee and get work down on your laptop. Plenty of seating and the place was just very open, simple and clean. I was looking for some infamous chocolate chip cookies but didn't see any. I requested my chai latte to be a little less sweet than usual but the girl said it really couldn't be done... but next time I might insist on having a little less concentrate or add a shot of espresso to even out the sweetness. It is frustrating when we work outside in this horrible weather and can't even find a place to sit down for all the collage kids just hanging out and drink coffee all day and play on their lap tops. The roast was burnt. My friend's cold brew was also made with burnt beans. Literally the worst quality coffee I've every had.
