It almost seemed like the addition of wine was an attempt to mask the issue rather than enhance the dish. The grits were also disappointing--lumpy and lacking the smooth, creamy texture you'd expect. That said, not everything missed the mark. My coworkers ordered the chicken salad, chicken wrap with sweet potato fries , blackened chicken pasta, and bruschetta, and all of those dishes were absolutely delicious and well prepared. They definitely helped redeem the overall experience and show the kitchen is still capable of putting out great food. Adri was our server, and she was an absolute delight--a total gem. She never missed a beat and was completely on top of everything. I also appreciated the convenience of the location. I parked across the street in the garage, which was well lit, safe, and very close. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, which adds to the appeal. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because Montreux has been a favorite in the past. I'd love to see the shrimp and grits return to the quality they were once known for.
