Bar Polari is the newest LGBTQIA+ community bar located in North Charleston, SC. Bar Polari is redefining what it means to be a gay bar and has a speakeasy vibe. It is gives off a sleek and cozy atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. I find the space gives off sensual and warm atmosphere provides a great place for date night, meeting friends, or meeting new people. This cozy atmosphere offers a full bar and signature drinks. Part of the draw for me is the ambiance and light music. At this time they do offer a food menu. Local dining establishments are located close by. The owner is very open and friendly. You are greater with a smile and hello. They support the LGBTQIA+ community. Check it out and decide for yourself.

My Husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. We have been looking for a LGBTQIA+ bar to just vibe and not yell to have a conversation. The bartender and owner are very sweet and great to talk to. They have a comfortable seating area inside and out. Can't wait to be back.

I hear they do larger shows other days of the week in one of the other levels of the large club. This location was perfect for a first time visit. The Queens were SO AMAZING with their performances! Comedy, dancing, a burlesque performer AND a puppet show.... Afterwards they all came out and chatted with the crowd. I did not want it to end. Such a fun night. Drinks well made and reasonably priced. Great service overall. Very friendly place. They have a snack bar but we didn't eat. Smelled great though! I will be back!!

This time I went on a Friday and thought it would be crazier or more crowded. While it was on the second/third floor this time, when I went to the 12:30 show (yeah, yeah, I know it's late), it wasn't crowded at all. In fact, me paying almost 40 bucks for a VIP/table seat didn't make much sense because all those who paid for regular seats (higher seats with no tables) got to move to tables after the show started. My anxiety would have me still buying a table to secure my spot (second row is perfect), but there are no bad seats in the house. The queens here, as I've said before, are amazing. Talented, sexy, creative. Sallie Just Sallie is my favorite.

The moment you walk in, you're welcomed with open arms and zero judgment. It's one of the rare places where you can truly be yourself and feel celebrated for it. The owner genuinely cares about this place and you can feel it in every detail. Every time I've been here, it's clear he puts his heart into making sure it's safe, fun, and unforgettable. The staff is top-tier. Everyone's friendly, fast, and funny. The bartenders don't just make great drinks, they create the kind of atmosphere you want to be part of. No attitude, no weird energy, just good people doing what they love. The drag shows are always a blast, the music hits every time, and the whole vibe walks that perfect line between high-energy party and total comfort. I've met some of the kindest, most down-to-earth people here. Pulse has a way of turning strangers into chosen family. If you're in Myrtle Beach and want a night out that feels like a warm hug with a tequila chaser, this is your spot. Pro tip: Tip your bartenders well. They've probably already remembered your name and your drink. To the owner: Thank you for creating a space where people can show up exactly as they are and feel completely at home. The love and care you've poured into Pulse over the years hasn't gone unnoticed. This place matters more than you know. It's more than a club. It's a safe space, a memory-maker, and a family for so many of us. Keep going. You're doing it right.

This place is SO much fun. It has that nostalgic arcade feel without feeling like you've accidentally wandered into a children's birthday party. The whole space is colorful, playful, and full of things competing for your attention in the best way. You can grab a drink, bounce between games, get a little unnecessarily competitive, and lose track of how long you've been there. I also love that it's in Park Circle. There's already so much to do in the neighborhood that Pinky & Clyde's makes an easy first stop, last stop, or the reason you came out in the first place. It feels social without requiring everyone to sit around a table making conversation all night, which I appreciate more than I probably should. The whole concept is just FUN. Not overly serious, not trying to be too cool, and definitely not another copy-and-paste bar. Charleston can always use more places where grown adults are encouraged to play games and behave slightly less grown. Pinky & Clyde's, you have my attention!

That's one of the reasons my husband and I came here on a Saturday before the Stingrays game because it's near the collussium. It looks like it's kind of hidden off the road pulling up There is also a huge parking lot across the street. Lots of tables outside and by the downstairs grass area, but they fill up quick. Also very dog friendly and kid friendly. They had Cornhole and frisbee for games. Inside there is a large bar and table seating. You order up at the bar area. Btw they don't have soybean oil in anything, not the buns or sides and they even fry in beef tallow. So I ordered a single cheese burger with the special sauce as well as a side of crispy potatoes. I also got a glass of wine, which I was happy they had wine as an option ...not all breweries do that. My husband got the double cheeseburger with a side of crispy potatoes and a beer. We came around 430pm and sat by the benches below because the upstairs tables were full already so come early. They give you a number so they can easily find you. The food came fast, and it was delicious. The burger had lots of flavor and was the perfect size. The potatoes fried in beef tallow were crispy and delicious. It was my first time trying something fried in beef tallow and I can confirm it does not make it taste beefy Needless to say we will definitely be back!!
