Instead of receiving a meaningful response, the account was sent to collections and I continued getting payment demands. My issue is not simply that insurance did not cover something. My issue is that I was charged for services I do not believe were clearly explained to me before they were performed. The lack of communication and willingness to resolve the dispute has been extremely disappointing. Patients should be told upfront what services may result in additional charges before those services are performed. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about billing here and would ask for everything in writing before agreeing to any treatment.

Throughout all of this, Dr. Bland remained patient and continued to check in with me. He could tell if I made a small movement that indicated my discomfort and would see if I needed a break or more numbing relief. Thankfully, I am no longer having any of the sensitivity since I stopped consuming large sums of coffee, sugar, and most especially since I stopped vaping. I love everyone who works with him. The fact that he has people who have been by his side for close to a decade or more really says something about who he is as a person. I have been moving around my whole life and have been to many others. He is genuinely the best I have visited. The office is immaculate, beautifully designed and simply top notch. Plus there is a spa on the second floor that gives great massages. I never thought I would think of a place like this as a little oasis, but I certainly do now.

Again, within minutes, the dental hygienist arrived and started her routine. I'm very particular about following up with dental care and exams. I floss and brush frequently, and take pride in my teeth. Nevertheless, this dental hygienist took her time, and was extremely detailed in checking the health of my teeth, and even better, she was meticulous with a very detailed cleaning! I can say that in all my years, she is most definitely the best Dental Hygienist I've ever had! Great job! Next, I was welcomed to the practice by a super down to earth and friendly dentist: Dr. Panchal. We went over any concerns and and oral history, and, of course, he studied all of the X-rays taken. She did poor fillings and I am still having to have hers removed and fixed. Not to mention she completely messed up the crown of my implant creating a large food gap. Most dentist would redo the crown until it's right but not her I was told "you'll just always have to have floss" EVERY piece of work she has done I am having to have fixed. I am having to have a new crown made and placed on my implant because hers was horrible, I am having to have all her fillings removed and replaced because it's "terrible" work. Having to have my bite fixed because of her TERRIBLE TERRIBLE WORK! I went back several times telling her something was wrong but was always brushed under the rug and told to use sensitive toothpaste. Turns out shes just a horrible doctor and doesn't want to fix her mistakes. She messed my mouth up so bad she couldn't even fix it. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! I spoke to Lauren and told her my recollection and paid bills don't match up with their claims and could they send me back up to support their claims. She said she could NOT do that and that I would have to speak with the office manager named Jennifer. I called the office no less than five times leaving messages (no one picks up over there) asking for Jennifer to call me. She never returned my calls. I have spoken to my lawyer and documented all my attempts to solve this matter so now I feel a bit better but these folks at Carolina Oral & Facial Surgery are incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional and I would highly advise you to stay away and find an alternative.
