My husband and I just love Dr Laura and all of her staff. They are the most compassionate, kind and amazing people on the planet when it comes to your pets. We have been taking both of our boys here for quite awhile. Templeton our Orange Tabby and Henry our Maltipoo. The prices are Affirable and they also carry two companies to help people with payment of bills if an expensive procedure is required or one may just be low on finances at the moment. I had driven by this place in Lehigh Acres many times without realizing what a blessing it would become. When I needed somewhere for my elderly Shih Tzu at the very last minute, I found this clinic--and I truly believe it was placed in my path for a reason. Putting a pet to sleep is one of the most heartbreaking things a person can go through. I cannot say enough good about Lighthouse Pet Clinic after they saved our little girl Mabel. She was in very bad shape and needed emergency surgery for an intestine blockage. The whole staff and Dr. Laura showed such genuine concern and care for her during and after treatment. After the surgery they cared for her 4 days in a row making sure they did all they could do to save this little Yorkie (she was in very bad shape). Well Mabel is alive and better than ever after her surgery and treatment. You will be amazed at the love and care your fur babies will get with these fine folks. They shared tears of worry with us and then later tears of joy like we did when Mabel was all better. They are there for the care and do not try to upsell and scam like other vets in Lehigh. Mabel loves the staff and now our new 3lbs yorkie, Pepper, loves them too. Great vet with an absolutley professional and loving team. I would give 10 stars if I could. read more

The clinic took precautions with regard to Covid. Despite already being vaccinated I appreciated their extra steps at safety. Nancy, the remote call taker was great. The Tech that came outside and greeted myself and Maggie after interviewing me with regards to her records and health was absolutely amazing! I absolutely loved her! While I didn't get to meet the Vet in person, due to Covid precautions- she did take the time to call me and fully explain to me Maggie's status and medical needs. I think Lighthouse will be the go to for years to come. read more

We made an appointment with Dr.Laura to get my pug his rabies shots and a check Up, we asked before hand if we could go in with him since he gets scared and they had said yes. We come to the appointment and Dr.Laura isn't here and we can't go in with him. His "check up" was them just telling me his ears are a bit dirty and to get him toothpaste obvious things I could see myself. He literally went into the office for a few minutes and popped back out so I don't even know if it was a good check up. Do not recommend going here, the employees at the front were nice but nice doesn't cover everything. So if you love your dog don't take them here go somewhere else. read more

We decided to change vets and lighthouse came highly recommended. our dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. everyone explained all procedures and steps we needed to take. After a week of realizing our dog was just suffering we decided to make the decision it was time for our Blade to cross rainbow bridge. we took him in and everyone was so caring. they explained the whole procedure let us spend as much time with our beloved blade as we wanted . they really made us all feel comfortable and reassured us we were doing right thing. I love this clinic and the staff that work here. They saved my German Shepard's life when she had surgery for a uterine infection right after we rescued her. We also just recently put our 19 year old cat to sleep and the calming room they provide, the caring staff and not making us feel rushed to complete the process made a very sad day bearable. Their prices are very reasonable which we appreciate since we have three dogs. We feel fortunate to have such a great clinic to bring our pets to locally. read more

Such a shame that Yelp arbitrarily dismisses reviews based - in part - on "level of participation." Rather: the fact that I don't frivolously post reviews should indicate my sincerity. In any event, this is an update of my non-recommended review from one year ago (12/2014) regarding a spayed (female) cat who: 1. Was straining to pee; 2. Had blood in her urine; 3. Dr. Laura suggested be euthanized or rehomed. "Honey" is still alive and well thanks to Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital in Cape Coral -- who immediately recognized the urgency of the situation, and graciously squeezed me/my kitty into their very busy schedule. And it only required a thirty-minute office visit with a COMPETENT veterinarian (Dr. McKelvie) to treat the problem and save Honey's life. So, pet guardians... You be the judge. read more

This place was good...really good. But in recent months, the place seems to have gotten a facelift, computer upgrades and other noticeable improvements that make it even better. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PROBABLY YOUR PET'S LIFE BY AVOIDING LIGHTHOUSE AND DR. LAURA! I cannot emphasize this enough! Last week I noticed that one of my rescue cats had blood in her urine. In order to get a sample noninvasively, I boarded the cat, and left some of her regular food. I had to call 3 times the following day to see if Honey peed in the box on their special litter, and how she was doing. "Well, she's leaking a little on the towel and we see that she has a problem (DUH!), but she doesn't have enough in her bladder for us to test." After another hospitalization stay, still no results. When I called to speak to the doctor (instead of the receptionist!) she said it could be caused by stress, and gave me a couple of websites to research. So now I'M the doctor?! Besides, I already did that before bringing her in. Before the end of the second day, I got another call from Lighthouse telling me that I had to be there by five to pick-up the cat. Upon arrival, I was told to wait in a room that was decked out like a funeral parlor (complete with brown satin ceiling-to-floor drapes and Costco-sized box of tissues) so the doctor could talk to me. When she comes in she just stares at me, waiting for me to start the conversation, and finally asks if I had any questions for her. Since I had already expressed my disappointment in spending my limited resources with no definitive results, I replied "no" and walked out of the room. While standing in the reception area, Dr. Laura goes: "I watched her today (not yesterday? WTH?) and she's miserable. She's constipated as well. You might want to think about euthanasia." I was dumbfounded and angry, stating that the cat was playing just before I brought her in and no way was that going to happen. Can you imagine? Just because the doctor can't or won't do their job let's kill the patient? Preposterous. Then she suggested that I find her another home. To which I told her that the only reason I have so many is because of irresponsible pet owners, and that there aren't enough homes for all of the abandoned animals. ...As if she didn't already know this. To top it all off, instead of easing my cat's pain by giving it sub-Q fluids and an enema (I seriously doubt she even did a proctal exam) while in her care for 48 hours, she tries to sell me some calming treats for $30 and some kind of liquid vitamin that increases urination! So - after spending $110 and losing 2 days with my cat in pain - it was the weekend. If my cat had been a blocked male, he could have died under Dr. Laura's so-called care. Now, I have to drag this poor, suffering soul to some other money hungry vet, pay for another office exam... Since moving to Lehigh 4 years ago, I have yet to find a compassionate, competent and trustworthy veterinarian. It's disgusting and despicable. read more

Took my pet cat to see this vet and without doing any testing or blood work I got a diagnosis that was completely way off of what was actually wrong with my pet, I ended up taking my pet to a different vet who ran all the proper test and blood work needed. Being a pet owner and having had so many pets in my life I had never came across a vet that just looks at your pet and tells you your pet has cancer and suggest to put them down. All the while he had never seen the pet before and had no history to back up his diagnosis or had done any proper testing. This was his first time seeing the pet. I do not recommend this place at all very unprofessional, Vet gives diagnosis without properly running any tests to back up his so called diagnosis, vet tech and front desk are very unprofessional as well and rude. I will not be recommending this place to anyone unless they are looking to have their pets put down. read more
