What a GREAT experience with Luminary Lights Austin! They…read morewere such PROFESSIONALS. Jessica quickly responded to provide a quote and a timely appointment at what we considered a reasonable cost to install new low voltage tree lights. Most of all we valued their expertise to replace 20 year- old fixtures and correctly wire in the new replacements. The bulbs and wiring had been updated more than a year ago by a premier and well-advertised, glossy Austin landscape lighting company. To our dismay, we discovered THAT previous work (two visits) was a hodgepodge of spliced high voltage wires with wire-nuts and tape up in our trees... a fire just waiting to happen! Luminary Lights know their stuff and pride themselves in executing the job properly. No shortcuts! Special thanks to Lonnie for his careful and methodical installation and his endless patience as we fussed about the lighting direction. He absolutely captured the right approach to highlight the beauty of nearby landscaping. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

In this day and age, it seems that businesses are overwhelmed or just not up to doing anything more…read morethan the J O B. It is not often you find a company who takes pride in their work and whose employees are not overworked and just doing the task at hand. OLP is a far cry from this theme. It was quite obvious from the very beginning, they care a great deal about their product, workmanship and finishing. I had done a few searches online and OLP stood out. We choose to engage them for a consult and did so via their website. We heard back promptly and booked a date for a visit. Josh arrived on time, I mean by the minute. No, your technician will be here between 9am and noon....ish, as we have become used to. Or, they just don't show up like AT&T. ahem. Josh is a friendly, burly, engaging gentleman. Extremely knowledgeable of his craft. He listened. He made suggestions and took the time to explain the process, the equipment we were getting installed and left us a quote. We choose to have driveway and pathway lighting as well as a full wrap of the house with low energy LED lights made by Bonzai lighting. These are app controlled. I would imagine that Josh can build out a system at all budget levels and if not, I would imagine he could work within your budget. Our installation was on the high end of cost for reference. We have a large home of 3100 sq ft. HOA's can be a pain. I had to file an Architecture review, even tho one or two other homes in our small neighborhood has home lighting. Josh assured me, we would be fine and even offered to work directly with our HOA if needed. He did provide me with a HOA packet to provide the committee. With that help when submitting the request, we got approved within 48hrs. I'm sure the brochure I was provided made this happen quickly. Day of installation, the OLP crew arrived, actually a little early and exactly to the minute they said they would be here. We had a little knock on the door and the work began. I was actually surprised to see Josh was involved throughout the 2 day install. Chris and his partner, (whose name I didn't get) were always respectful of our property, polite when they needed access anything and cleaned up after themselves. There was a palpable air of pride and execution of the job ahead. They cared about what they were working on and not just slapping something together. The crew wanted their work to reflect their skill set. It wasn't just their J O B, it was their craft. OLP finished up the install and Josh spent some time with us helping us download the app for the Bonzai app and SmartLife app for the Driveway/Pathway lighting. Ran us through the options on the app and sent us a very helpful App Training link to review and learn. We settled up, Josh reminded us of the warranty and to please call/text with any questions whatsoever. The Bonzai lighting is very comprehensive, a myriad of customizations and themes as well as options, such has having the lights over our master bedroom go off at a certain time so as not to keep the wifey awake at night. She is very light sensitive at night and we are having black out blinds being installed which will help the small light spill in the bedroom. Every colour of the rainbow is there, with dozens of preset themes you can pick. It's a little overwhelming, but it's a learning curve. It's Labor day weekend and they finished up yesterday. We had chosen a simple setting for coming on at dusk and turning off at dawn. We noticed nothing came on, so reluctantly we texted Josh at 8.15pm, letting him know and we could address the issue after the holiday. He text back right away and since we choose to name him as an administrator, he was able to get them on, owned up that he inadvertently needed to reset the automation, which he did right away. We will be visiting again after the holiday, since I messed around with one of the themes and now our home looks like a firework show. LOL.. It's ok, we will get used to the app. OLP should definitely get a shot at your project. Give them a call for a bid!

He worked very fast and did an awesome job on every project.. from hanging a few lights, mirrors, putting furniture together, etc. I'm very particular and he far exceeded my expectations! Customers Beware! Property Damage. False Invoices. First Time Workers. Hiring HandyMatt does not…read moremean you get Matt himself as his website and texts suggest. Instead, I received someone who was working their first day ever for Matt with no supervision or heads up. We had a fairly simple workload to get completed. Towel Rods to install and twenty or so art/pictures to be hung. After five hours (5!) we had three towel rods installed and 3 pictures hung. Barely one item per hour. I was texting Matt all throughout the day that the pace of his worker was far too slow. He acknowledged the pace was unacceptable and agreed to comp three hours from the morning to get a more appropriate pace of work to price and to allow the worker to finish the work with feedback his pace had to improve. At the end of the day the worker then spilled paint all over our brand new wood floors in the nursery and onto a Lola blanket that thankfully saved our nursery rocker from being destroyed. He got it cleaned up better than I could have expected, but that was an extra hour at bedtime with babies crying and a room smelling of strong acetone to get things back to "normal". After the fact, I never received an apology from Matt. I was sent repeated texts and emails about paying his invoice. I had provided a link to the blanket ruined which he did not properly deduct the replacement cost from the invoice. He also sent through the invoice with less hours removed than agreed to and said he had "re-assessed" what he thought was fair. That his work speed went up after my complaints so that should have somehow forgiven the snail pace to start the day that was then capped by damage to our property. Overall, the one and only redeeming quality was that the worker was kind and his craftsmanship was good. We let him keep working because his work and presence was not an issue, but his speed and quality for the hourly rate were not at all in alignment. $110/hour is a premium rate for a handyman which means a premium experience. Premium quality and premium efficiency. I made it very known he could continue working but only if his speed was more appropriate or the rate was reduced to match his performance. I left offended by all of my experiences with the person that has their name on the business. Attempting to re-negotiate an agreed upon reduced rate AFTER damage in my home occurred is a bold move to maintain a reputable business. I let Matt know multiple times I would be letting my experience go public with a review and anyone who is considering hiring HandyMatt should really think twice before proceeding.

All were prompt in their responses and provided well written proposals. Only Grayzer included the cost of a permit in their proposal. Further a friend had their wall panel upgraded and their Tesla Wall Connector installed by Grayzier and recommended them highly. After looking at the reviews for the different certified installers, and given that a permit is required in my town to install an EV charger, I went with Grayzer. They provided a date and service window ( a week in advance of my appointment ) and the electrician, Max, pinged me about an hour prior to his arrival. I showed Max my ideal location for the Tesla Wall Connector and he was able to accommodate without having to cut away any drywall or running conduit outside the wall ( YMMV ). Very friendly, professional and knowledgable. He took the information/pictures required by Tesla and by my town's permitting authority, commissioned the Wall Connector, showed my how to add it to the Tesla Application on my iPhone and verified that it was charging at the specified rate (48 amps). He was happy to answer any questions I might have, and I am just delighted by the service and work done. I would recommend highly to friends, neighbors, et al. All in all, quick, fast, efficient, and professional. Cleaned up work area when done. Thank you!
