I had a great experience with this business! Arturo was great. My son bought a 2012 blue Toyota RAV4 with an interior that was totally trashed. They literally made it look a new car. It was breathtaking. I am not connected to them in and would be happy to talk to anybody that wants to know what I think of personally. My phone number is 303-945-6432. I will go back in a few months for a touchup, but I intend to have this full detail every year. They made the outside of this dull blue car look like a new car. It was so shiny! We dropped it off at 8 AM and they were there as promised and did the job by 3:30. When we got the car done in the dead of winter when it was 4° they had already dried the interior with fans so we could simply put in our new floor mats and drive away. They were very courteous and jolly. I'm not sure what the person in one of the other reviews was talking about, them being mean, but our experience with them was great! They are primarily Spanish speakers and it was a little bit hard to get through on the voicemail because it was full and it was clearly someone else talking on the voicemail. My family has lived in Park Ridge since 1990. We used to go to Like New Auto spa every time we needed the cars washed. Since the new ownership took over, it's been downhill. We ignored the price hikes, and we ignore the frequently bad attention to detail, clear rushing of the washers to get cars in and out, and missed steps at providing a proper wash and steps they advertise on their website. Overall, just really crappy work. It's been a huge disappointment. Today was the last straw. Got to Like New just after 12:10pm. There were three cars ahead of my car. I went into the waiting room to wait for my car to come through. After 20 minutes I went to go check on my car, only to see that a car had been out in front of mine in the queue. I approached the manager and asked why this car had been pulled in front of mine. He said it was detail service, and nothing further. No apology, no further details. I reminded him that I had been here first and didn't appreciate the lack of communication. At this point the manager took my order form out of my hands forcefully, crumpled it up, and told me to leave. Again, my family has been coming here for over 30 years. And now we will never be back. Granted it was very busy yesterday, line was out to Busse, took an hour to get in. But that does not excuse $40 for a subpar car wash. I went to clean the salt buildup on the vehicle. They didn't properly rinse the dirt/salt off before putting mitts to the dirt that can scratch the finish. Seriously they sprayed the front for 5 seconds and moved to the next step. They started doing the wheels when I could still see the lift gate hadn't been touched. Then they took those nylon wheel brushes that just cleaned brake dust off the wheels and started applying to the front and rear to raw dirt. This is not why I pay for a hand wash, as the paint is likely damaged.... Disappointed because I live in a condo nearby and can't wash it myself there. read more

They did a lovely job cleaning out my dad's filthy interior of his Caddy. (He's a bit of a slob.) All done by 2 pm after I dropped it off at 11 am with no appointment. The manager was very nice and took my phone number down for calling me if it was ready earlier than quoted. He was upfront with the pricing and didn't just steer me to using the Silver package coupon because the exterior was clean and did not really need detailing. So we stuck with the less expensive option of just detailing the interior. I would have gone to them regardless of the coupon because they are in my dad's area and I'd used them years ago when I lived in PR. I know it says under new management but they were just as good now as back then loading tons of accumulated stuff into bags and not making you deal with those items first on your own before they attack your car full of junk. The super nice thing about him taking my number was that me and my friend could go for lunch while we waited. (Betcha see the leftovers boxes of Giordano's in the front seats! Jealous?! You should be.) Didn't have to wait in the nice waiting room that not only had complimentary coffee for you but snacks or specialty drinks to purchase while you wait if you chose. It's closing in on 2 pm so we head on back and low and behold, he calls as we are driving there to say it's ready. We pull up a few minutes later and the crew is just putting the finishing touches on it as we pull up. My friend is like what is that nice smell. The car. I go in and wait for another client to pay and leave. The manager takes my payment and goes out himself to bring the car around. I ask if they cleaned the trunk as well knowing my dad to be messy. The waiting room is super cute. Coffee and bottled water are provided, which is perfect because you will be here awhile. I'm use to these car washes- usually in/out in 10 minutes. It's going on an hour. I am going to be very late today. I don't know even one person who has time to wait this long. 25 minutes waiting in the car in line and so far 20 in the waiting room but my car is still 4th in line. I will never be back. This spot used to be great. Ownership changed hands several times over the last 20 years and the quality has definitely declined while the prices shot way up. When the original owners ran Like New, I'd get my car back and it was perfectly cleaned and wiped down. I'm surprised I am the first person to review this place, as it has been around for over 20 years. Last night I took my car there for my first time, as I work in the area. Usually I'd wash it myself, but I didn't feel like wiping my car down in the dark with a bucket of water and freezing my hands off when I got home. The owner personally opened the car door and led me into the waiting room, introducing himself and explaining his business and its history. They'll even do full detailing and paintless dent removal. This place is a real gem; 5 of 6 men will soap your car and then it'll be driven through a gentle cage-like sprayer, unlike many places I've been to that utilize just a pressure washer or even buckets of dirty water dumped over the car. Then two employees will hand dry it after it's been put under the mechanical dryer, including the door jambs, sills, and trunk seal. No air hoses, no dirty rags, no scratches, no soap residue. You may think this place is a bit of a drive as it's in the far NW corner of Park Ridge. However, if you're in the area and in need of a $7 exterior hand wash, I'd say give these guys a visit. read more

My first experience at Like New went like this: recieved the Works Wash $19, took about 30 minutes; while waiting for the car to be done, two customers had confrontations with the Like New staff about poor service, refusing to redeem a gift certificate and being overcharged for vapor service. In my opinion, customer service should be just that--serving their customers, but unfortunately, their customers were not well taken care of, they were accused and denied compensation. At least when it was my turn to pay the staff member apologized for having to hear their conversarions. My car was clean but nothing to write home about. My second experience and maybe my last: There were three cars in front of me, took about 45 minutes for the Deluxe Wash $29. Another customer complaint, but this time the staff offered the customer a free wash. When I got my car back, they hadnt vaccumed the trunk! For a thirty dollar car wash, that should absolutely be expected. I asked them to clean it, which they did, but if i hadnt, I would have driven off cheated out of my money. Sadly, when i got home i checked the cupholders and center glove box and they were both filthy. Ridiculous they didnt bother. Im dissappointed in the quality of service for the price paid. read more

On top of that, my iPhone cord was missing as well as one of my floor mats. I had to go back and get the other mat. They couldn't find my iPhone cord but ended up giving me one of theirs. I want to preface this review by saying I have never posted to Yelp good or bad. This car wash may have severely damaged my car. Unfortunately, I did not notice the damage and associate it to the car wash until it was too late. About a month ago I decided to give this car wash a second chance due to convenience . The prior wash had been sub par at best. Outside of car had streaks. Inside vacuum was poorly done. I paid to have the most expensive wash ($24 I believe). Last month, a couple of days after my wash I noticed dents on the hood of my car even spaced across. Fast forward to a day ago I had another wash (at a different place) and noticed a line connecting the two dents (once the salt was removed). I'm 99% sure this car wash did the damage. Thinking back. I did hear some commotion during my wash but thought nothing of it. There is no other explanation for this damage across my entire hood. Bottom line. CHECK YOUR VEHICLE AFTER EVERY WASH. I should have been more attentive. Overpriced poor washes and a lack of integrity of the staff. read more

I have been disappointed with the service here lately. I got my car cleaned here multiple times before I decided to buy the punch card. For some reason, they cleaning is not done as well as before. It looked great when the car just came out. Not until I got home (more than 30 minutes away) then I realized how the job was done poorly. The were multiple stains on my car that were not washed. So, I decided to go back again today. I understand that this is memorial day weekend. So I called to make sure you still open during your regular hour. Whoever answered the phone said you close at 4pm. Then, I got there around 2:30pm-2:50pm, it was CLOSED. No one answered the phone and big CLOSED sign was on the door. If you close early, why can't you just tell me that you close early? I don't live that close that's why I did my homework before I came. This is the service I get as a royal customer. Sad. read more

With all of the car washes in the area that have gone out of business lately, there's a reason that this one is still standing: they do a good job. That's really the bottom line. The place doesn't look like much, it doesn't have a big grand glorified neon sign out in front, nor 6 lanes of automated machine scrubbers to move 100 cars per hour through them like those big massive facilities. But, you bring your car here, it comes out professionally cleaned. I've never had a missed section that wasn't clean, nor have they slacked off on the details. You ask them to clean your car, detail/wax your car, whatever, and it gets done. Unlike some of the owners/managers in the past at this location that are either never there, or just sit at the cash register and never really look at the cars the staff is cleaning, the current manager is rarely at the register (which is a good thing) because he's out there making sure the cars get cleaned right. read more

I have been bringing my cars to Like New for years and have to say I'm always happy with the way it turns out. We wash our cars on a weekly bases and have had no complaints. Once a year we have our cars detailed here as well and like the name states it looks Like New. Last year we were going to sell my wife's van and we decided to detail it to make it look good before selling. After they were done with it my wife was so impressed on how it turned out that we decided to keep it. The interior looked like it had come out of the show room floor. He's a former smoker and construction worker (so you know his car is FILTHY). The interior was immaculate when we got it back. We stressed that the car needed to be done by 130. How does a business that advertise their hours on window and internet always close 15-20 before the posted time. I went there today again and for the LAST time, at 4:45 and they had their entrance closed. I went in to talk to their manager and he confirmed that they were closed knowing it was 15 min earlier than what was posted. After I explained to him that this has happened many times before he stood his ground and explained that it takes a good 15-20 min on a car and they would end up leaving late. So in reality this place doesn't service their customers according to what they advertise and you would think that they understand customer service skills and take care of the complaint when the customer is proving their mistake. If you want to leave by 5 pm then post your hours till 4:30pm. That's the way you do business if you choose to. The only thing that's nice in this place is their waiting area. Free water bottles and coffee! I was so excited to see my car after they "cleaned" it but nope! Paid $22 for the #2 choice which includes the basic car wash (the works) plus interior vacuum, window cleaning,etc. BUT wax is not included which you have to pay extra $7 for it. Got into my car, my dash board wasn't wiped even with just a wet towel AT ALL. I guess they more focus on just the exterior part. When you see them working from the waiting area, you'll be excited to see your car after but I'm very disappointed to pay $29 (TIP NOT INCLUDED) just to finish what they started.
