Baffled at my experience with this place. Called and made an appointment over the phone with Diana (short hair and glasses). I told her I wanted the vapor odor removal service done on my car (it's advertised as a la carte for $45). I told her it was a Cadillac Escalade and she didn't know it was a large SUV- strange for a woman who works at a car wash. I was specific in that I only wanted that service, not a full detailing as it has already been done somewhere else. I dropped it off at 8:20am and was given a ride home by the manager on duty. I told him on the way what was wrong with the car (odor from left over food) and why I was getting the service done (vapor technique). He said it should take 3-4 hours. Fast forward to 5 hours after I dropped it off and they finally call to say the odor is not coming out and that they are going to do the vapor removal on the car one more time. I said okay.. leaving room for more details and none were given. He said another hour and it should be ready. I get a call a little over an hour later from Diana "Your car is ready. When are you gonna be here to get it??" Um excuse me? That is not how you let a customer know their car is ready, especially when it's been there for nearly 7.5 hours, lady. I get there to pick my car up and she promptly says that'll be $135. I gave her a look of disbelief and she started rambling about how it's a deal. I booked a $45 vapor odor removal service. She sees my frustration and gets the manager. He says well we had to shampoo the carpets twice do the service twice and blah blah. I said I am not paying $135 for this, this is not what I made an appointment for. If you had to do a service twice, and you are going to charge accordingly, don't you think you should CALL the customer and say this is what you booked, this is not working, and we recommend this additional service for this price, is it okay to proceed? Ultimately the issue was miscommunication between Diana and the manager/ men who service the cars. I was clear in what I wanted done on my car, to both Diana and the manager. He still tried to charge me $100 and I said no, not paying that either. I paid my $45 and left the office. Diana walked me out to my car (should have been pulled around) and the mats were still out on the grass with no worker in sight! It was not in fact ready. Do not go here. Do not talk or deal with Diana, that lady is a walking disaster. read more

These guys were great. Had them do an interior detail on a car we got for our kids that was heavily smoked in. When we dropped it off you could barely sit in the car due to the smell. Got it back a day later and the difference was amazing. It was almost like getting into a new car. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

Sad to say, the new ownership of this place is very disappointing. Doesn't look like they bother to read their reviews and take customer feedback seriously either. Too bad. The wait is way too long for a car wash (30-60 mins). The quality is no better than a 5 minute drive-thru car wash that sprays soap and water on your car. I've never seen a business post their hours of operation online and on the door and then be closed when it says they're open 4 out of 5 times I've tried to go in the past few months. New management apparently equals an over 100% price increase. I've taken all my cars here over the past 9 years. I always request the same thing- Outside plus wheels and I've always paid the same price. $12, which was already just a little high in my opinion. I brought my car here a couple weeks ago, requested outside plus wheels and I was astonished at the price hike!! Stunned!! $26!!....For just the outside! Not even the inside!! Look, your new waiting room is cute, but don't punish your customers for you guys deciding to take down a couple walls and put new lights and floor in. That is not fair. This place is right by my house and I am sad to say I'm not going to be back due to the astronomical more than double price increase for a simple outside wash and a quick coat of shine on my wheels. read more

I have been going here for years. I always get the deluxe wash. It's hands down the best quality wash in chicago. They have fresh coffee and a good sense of humor with customers. I have been coming to this car wash for 10 years and they have always done an amazing job.. well worth the price. This review is not about your prices or the job done but the unbelievable lack of respect and concern I have regarding the people employed here!! Today I arrived at opening 8am (hours listed everywhere on the internet and their website/signage) to avoid a line. The staff arrived about 5 minutes later.. I figured they were late and working on opening so I sat in my car. While I waited along with another woman in a car behind me, the guys walked past us probably 10 times. I even went into the office to check in (the open sign was lit) and no one was there. About 8:15 the woman and I finally decided to check in.. no one had greeted us at this point and the employees were washing their own cars.. hmm. They told us they weren't opening. We responded "it would have been nice if you told us you have seen us waiting here for 20 minutes." The employee responded using foul language! Mind you the other customer was probably in her 70s... how can you talk to us that way? The words he used sounded like duck but I can't write it here. "It's not my problem and I have work to do." We just stared. We also said "it says you open at 8." And he told us the signs, the website etc. were wrong and it's not his problem. By now a line of cars had formed and I went to each individually to let them know not to wait.. they are not opening due to the weather.. but couldn't give the courtesy of letting us know and swore at us. Every customer I spoke with was shocked and your place lost a line of business today, I'm sure permanently. Today was my first time going to this car wash. I got a Works Wash ($19) + Express Wax ($7). I was a little nervous because of the yelp reviews, but the google reviews seemed pretty good. I found detailed pricing on their website: http://www.likenewautospa.com/ TIME: There were 2-3 cars in front of me and I think I was in and out within 45 minutes, including those cars ahead of me. CUSTOMER SERVICE: When I got out of my car, I had no idea where to go next and accidentally found the waiting room by sticking close to the left wall. I wish the person who took my order, per se, had also pointed out where the waiting room was. The waiting room itself is nice, has new chairs, free coffee/bottled water. The man who rang me up also offered a loyalty card and told me I could get $3-5 off for my next visit, depending on [something mumbled] -- I couldn't quite understand. i also wish there was some sort of info sheet describing the loyalty program that I could read in the waiting room. As it is, it's not a big deal and I figure I'll gonna wing it. QUALITY OF SERVICE: Overall I'm very happy with the interior and exterior cleaning they did. The wax job is just as expected for something express and I'm satisfied about that. They even took out my full garbage bag for me! My windshield was extremely clear, pretty much invisible, my 4 floor mats have never been cleaner, and even my foot pedals squeaked clean under my shoe. However my back window had a very obvious vertical streak which wasn't wiped off - I was not happy to see it while I was driving afterward. Another con: I noticed that my front car hood was popped, ready to be opened - I assume that they accidentally pulled the car hood handle, but that was extremely irresponsible of them to not push it back down or let me know about it. I noticed it when I came home, thank goodness. For a detail job, they could do better in attention to detail. SUMMARY: 4 out of 5 stars, due to an overall great job of the cleaning/waxing (except for the minor rear window), but taking off a star due to a few hiccups in the service. I am planning to come back again for to schedule more detail because the work itself was good. RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend giving them a shot. It sounds like they have new management and they're working on the kinks - so why not support the local business if they do a good job? I would also recommend looking over your car before leaving (front, back, sides, inside), just in case they missed something. To the owner, I recommend training your staff to do a last visual spotcheck on the entire car (for any remaining hard spots/streaks, everything dry, car hood is not opened ha) before giving it back to the customer. read more

I guess there have been several previous owners at this location...whatever. This review is for the current owner/mgr. Is it the best car wash ever? Probably not...I lived in the city before and there were some better car washes there. But, this is the best in this area IMHO. They do a great job. The waiting area is clean, recently remodeled, and has free waters and coffee...and the coffee is pretty good, too. They take their time doing the washes, but it's worth it. Pricing totally fair, too, and better if you get a prepaid card. I've been going here for a while and will keep coming back. read more

Never again. Despite their website stating open until 6pm, On Friday, March 27 when I arrived at 5:40 pm, cones were blocking the entrance and a "sorry we're closed" sign posted. When I returned the next day, manager JD answered, "Huh, I wasn't here." No explanation offered. The following week, Saturday, I returned and when I went in to pay, I handed my ticket to "owner" Jeremy. The ticket was marked $14 for a works wash, and $4 to clean rubber mats which is what I requested. Jeremy said "$20.00" I replied, "No, it's $18." Jeremy advised me that the price for a works wash had risen to $16. When I showed him the ticket, he replied, "Yeah, prices went up, the guy up front made a mistake." I paid $20.00, but asked Jeremy to step outside as I did not want to complain in front of a waiting room full of customers. I took the opportunity to inform him of what happened the week before (closing at 5:40), and he explained their policy of counting cars in line and cutting off service based on their estimate to be able to close at 6. Then, with regard to pricing, he offered to walk me back to the entrance to show me that their sign reflected their new pricing. I admitted to him that I did not see the sign, however my ticket was written for $14.00. I explained that these two occurrences would preclude me from returning... His reply? "That's okay, we'll be fine." I have been a customer of that location through many owners, have driven specifically to Park Ridge though many car washes are closer to my home and office. I will no longer give Like New mine nor my family's business. Really disappointed and rather appalled at the "owner's" lack of customer service skills. read more

I went here about a month ago. I ordered the deluxe wash which included almost everything but waxing. My car came out looking pretty good. The interior was kind of dirty but it was better than it was. The biggest thing that upset me was, I told the person I gave my keys to that my emergency break sticks so they need to park it in gear instead if pulling the e-brake. They didn't listen. I let it slide though because it was really busy and multiple people worked on the car. I took my car there today and ordered the deluxe wash again.... told the guy multiple times about the e-break.... when they were done with my car I went inside and THE E-BREAK WAS PULLED! After I told them NOT to use it! I was not happy. I parked right down the street. I looked at my car and it was still dirty! The wheels were filthy, the interior still had stuff all over the dash and the plastic piece under my steering wheel was hanging off. I was just not satisfied. I wish I could go get my $22 dollars back. I've had better washes at a $3 drive through car wash. Not worth it at all. :( read more

I would like to add onto Patti P's. review from earlier today, as I was also one of the customers waiting in line. This business has downgraded a lot (as many of the other recent reviewers would agree). I have noticed that the quality of the work has been careless recently. Well....today was the last straw for me.... So, I was standing in the line of cars for about 20 minutes (felt like 40) and I noticed that the garage door was open. I saw a couple of employees eating lunch and many of the other employees (including the manager) coming in and out to grab food, all while starring straight at the line of cars waiting Hmm.. So, the fact that the owner and/or manager did not come out to explain what the hold up was or to grab atleast two employees for the time being to get the line of cars moving is just beyond me. The owner, would rather be ignorant and say that we all came at the "wrong time"......In that case, I would rather not come at all....It is such a shame that you lost business to four customers today. read more

I will say I'm spoiled by the abundance of city car washes but this place is a joke. The slowest workers one of the worst car washes my car has seen. Not 1 person put a sponge on the front of my car. Pretty sad. They would never survive in the city - no competition in park ridge. read more

I got a coupon in a mail flyer for this local carwash and then yelped them. I was a little nervous about going after reading the Yelp reviews but noticed the flyer mentioned something about new ownership. It couldn't have been worse than the last place in Des Plaines that actually ripped off my windshield wipers and told me it was my fault. Overall, they did a pretty good job (great on the interior), with the exception of some dried soap spots and like other reviewers and the last place I used, there was no damage to my car. First time at Like New Auto Spa. Good experience. Came here on Saturday and it was super busy. Nice Fall day so everyone in the world wanted to get their car washed. There were about 10 guys working at the wash plus a really nice girl in the lobby running the register. They got my car through the line in what I thought was a reasonable amount of time given the crowd. Everyone was working hard and spending a good amount of time on each car. Everything here is done by hand, no machines. The end result was awesome. My car hasn't look this good in a very long time. Thank you LNAS! read more

The staff here are so helpful and they do such an amazing job! The price is very reasonable and your car sparkles by the end. I came in with a particularly difficult car stain and it was spotless within a half hour. Only complaint I can think of is that it's pretty popular, so you may have a wait. I have tried this place for the third time and last time. Every time no one is manning the cashier and everyone has to wait to pay for the carnival worker manager to show up. When he does he is rude and appears Inconvenienced to have to take payments. The wait time to have your car washed is minimum an hour. I recently made an appointment to have my car detailed inside and out. After the appointment was scheduled; I had a conflict and needed to reschedule. We called Like New Auto Spa and without any hesitation they rescheduled my appointment for my earliest convenience. I brought my Toyota on Friday at 11 and was greeted by very nice young employees. They took the time to talk to me and understand what I was looking for in this detail. Everyone was customer service oriented, the lobby was super cute and my 2014 Rav 4 looked brand new. My car was finished by the time they guaranteed. I have no complaints and I would recommend Like New Auto Spa. read more

Like New Auto Spa refused to honor $500 in gift certificates, despite the manager saying he would honor them. The business changed hands since these certificates were issued but the manager is the same, the name is the same and it is illegal not to honor gift certificates that are still within 5 years of the issue date, which these were. Not even willing to negotiate or show any sign of customer service. We had been getting washes and details at this location for over 15 years. Bad business practices! read more

I used to bring my car to this car wash all the time and it always exceeded my expectations. I haven't been in quite some time and recently visited them again. I was VERY disappointed. I would have thought with the 4 high school boys working on my car it would have looked better than it did. I was shocked at the amount they missed on the inside of my car. They did not however miss my dashboard decoration that they broke and didn't even apologize for it. As a matter of fact they said nothing. They just put the broken piece on the passenger seat of my car. To them it may not have been a big deal but to me it was a Mothers Day gift from my special needs son. I ordered clean rims, clean engine, and clean car. I was charged $200 and my rims were filthy. My finger took off more dirt than the car wash. Engine was never touched and the top of my car was dirty. After a promised refund the manager called back again and said no refund. After a long argument I was told I would get half the money back. I never got any money back. Bad service, bad management, and lies! I will never go back. Fullers on Algonquin and Elmhurst is the place to go. read more
