Nice restaurant, I loved the feel of it. The service wasn't bad. Was were checked on every few minutes. My buddy had a Husker burrito and it was very dry. He's got a giant appetite, but he didn't even finish it. I had enchiladas, and they were pretty good! I also had a burrito from their takeout menu at an earlier time, and it was pretty good. We ate at the Lil Burro restaurant and as always the food was excellent! I've been trying different kinds of burritos lately (All Good), but my favorite turns out to be a bean and beef burrito with Green Chili and Pork sauce. Yum! The green chili sauce has some chili punch but, not the kind of punch that keeps your mouth burning. I don't know how they do it, but this is so flavorful and the chunks of pork are very tender. I also want to add that this restaurant has the best Mexican rice. I usually avoid the rice at other Mexican restaurants. Not at Lil Burro restaurant! I had lunch with my wife and a friend here today (5/26/26). We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the service was excellent. My friend and I had the enchiladas with rice & refried beans (he elected flour enchiladas filled with chicken & beef, while I had corn enchiladas filled with cheese & beef). They were perfect! Went with a family of 6 people, fairly early in the day. We were seated quickly at an open table. This is a small family-run restaurant that has a unique antique atmosphere. Very welcoming and homey. The server came over immediately with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and crispy, possibly homemade but not sure. The salsa was also homemade with a bit of a sweetness. We also asked for a hot salsa which was very authentic and quite spicy. All good. The menu is quite large with a lot of choices. The Burrito Macheca that I had was excellent. Shredded beef and rice filled with a wonderful spicy sausage gravy. Rice and beans were tasty and well prepared. My son had the Chicken Chipotle - very spicy - and very good. I had a bite. Our server was excellent. She returned many times to ask if we needed anything. The owner or manager also stopped by to ask us how was the food. Seemed like great people. Friendly. I ordered my food online and it was ready and waiting. I ordered the Bravo Burro and the Pork Chile verde. That chile verde was excellent and honestly, could be a meal by itself, if you ate it with some rice. The spice was pleasant, and the portions were good for the price. I could not finish the Bravo Burro. I did have to add a little more salt to the meal, but they put salt and pepper in the bag, so not a big deal for me. First time stopping in here in since 2023. My group stopped in right around 5pm and it was not very busy. This place can have some very busy times depending on the day. The parking lot can be deceiving, making you think it's busy inside. Maybe it was an off day, but it was not quite the drinks, appetizers, and food i was used to. The interior is friendly and inviting that you may not expect from the small exterior. Staff are all pretty good people and have no complaints there. Ambiance was very nice ...The liter of Margaritas were spot on ..with salt around the rim and extra lime for that punch...they started us off with chips and salsa ...gave me extra spicy (like me) salsa upon request ..we had fajitas ..My friend ordered chicken fajitas (which they very graciously substituted shredded chicken for her, (never been done) but owner came over and made sure to double check the type of chicken she requested before serving it) custom order with a SMILE and served with the works.....i.e...flavorful guacamole , sour cream ..tortillas, rice and beans! I had the shrimp fajitas that were cooked perfectly..plump and juicy..bursting with spicy flavor with sautéed peppers and onions ! First time here and meeehhh The Good: The waitress was nice and witty. Offered some great suggestions on our food choices since it was our first time. She has been working there for many years and seems to really enjoy her job! The Bad: The food was pretty blah. For a local little Mexican restaurant you would expect some family recipes or authentic flavors. The ground beef was not seasoned at all in our Supreme burrito and the rice tastes exactly like Spanish box rice. Huge disappointment... over all very subpar food. The Ugly Truth: If you're going out with friends for some mex food and a few drinks the atmosphere is perfect. The food will not be too spicy (unless you ask for it) and the staff will be very welcoming and friendly. If you however want to go out for some delicious and authentic Mexican food I would steer clear of this place. We were told they grow the peppers in the backyard in the summer and they are very good. So we might be back to try the food in the summertime. Otherwise it's a check of our list for now and very under-impressed with our meals. It's just okay for me. It can be hit-or-miss; it's a gamble. I guess it all depends on who is in the kitchen that day, and/or how they are feeling? This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes not so much. I've ordered the exact same dish of different days, and the execution was worlds apart. Even the salsa will be different on different days/nights... I don't get it. One thing that is consistent is the nachos are always terrible. The service is usually good, but there is one guy there that seems to always be lost. He's a total space cadet. You can say something to him, and 30 seconds later he'll ask the same exact question. I call him goldfish. Cleanliness is usually good. I've never had any problems while dining in. The atmosphere is average for a Mexican restaurant. Everything you would normally see and hear. The value is worth mentioning. The prices are average IF you pay cash, in person & dine-in. You'll pay more for using the drive through. They have a "discount" if you pay cash, but didn't get that the one time I used the drive through. If you pay with any type of card, they charge extra. This is because the way they have set up their credit card processing. They have chosen to have a percentage charged for each transaction, and pass that cost of operations directly to the customer. I assume this is to encourage cash payments. Fun fact, is easier to embezzle cash than digital transactions. If you order online, all the menu prices are approximately 10% to 15% higher. If you order through a food delivery service, the menu prices are higher, there's a service fee, and a delivery fee. The value gets increasingly worse. Basically, the only way I'll eat here is if I have time to go, sit down, and happen to have cash on me. Otherwise, not worth it. I haven't found a go-to dish here, so if you have any recommendations, let me know. read more

Where do I begin? Liz our server was fantastic! Great attitude and got us exactly what we wanted. The warm flour tortilla chips with the nacho cheese dip was the best I've ever tasted. The corn chips and salsa were awesome as well. I got the steak and chicken combo fajitas. They were sooo good. I like that I got lots of sour cream (I like sour cream lol) and even the guacamole was good and the refried beans! Two things I'm not a huge fan of and both were pretty good. This is our go to spot for Mexican Food. I always get the Chicken Chimichanga, which is huge- approximately a whole chicken breast of meat is stuffed inside. The Chipotle Cheese Dip with FLOUR Chips are addictive, like prepare for cravings & withdrawal. This place tends to be packed, so a margarita helps with the waiting. It is also Closed Mondays, like a person needed another reason to Hate Mondays. read more
