The entire team was amazing! We had a gas leak in our garage and on Labor Day of all days. John and Alex came out immediately, even on a holiday, to help diagnose the problem. In Feb 2019 i hired them to fix a water line from Home advisor, suppose to be good right? WRONG!!! The guy shows up, stays five minutes and comes back 4 hours later, the job took 10 minutes. July 2019 the same water liner in the exact place where this guy so called "fixed" the line, came apart due to poor install, and obviously had not idea what he was doing. I called them to day, sent pictures proving that this was exactly the place the guy tried to repair, and the answer was too bad. DO NOT hire these guys. Rip off and incompetent. NEED TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW - THEY ARE OFF MY XMAS LIST! They did work for me a year and I gave them a glowing review but times have changed. This experience with them hit all the sour notes. Did not show up at appt time. Waited an extra 4 hours to have then show up without any parts to fix a simple leaky toilet. Promised they would come back the next day within a 2 hour window. Showed up 5 hours later than promised again. Technician was unable to fix a simple issue. Then told me I needed the whole toilet replaced. I complained. He backed off and said just the "entire guts" of the 1 year old toilet needed to be replaced because the parts were very hard to locate. And wanted to charge me for the visit. I rudely said "NO." Guess what - Went to my friendly neighborhood hardware store, armed with a pic of toilet. They sold me a rubber ring for less than $3 (KOHLER RING PART# GP1059291) and explained how to fix it. Edgar and Alexander came out on short notice to do a septic inspection. These guys were very thorough in their inspection and did a lot of explaining to someone that has never had a septic system before. Their equipment allowed visual inspection with camera through the pipes and into the septic system and seepage pit as well as identifying the previously unknown location of the pit. I really appreciated the service provided and the person at the office was very responsive to texts and calls also. Five stars guys, thanks. read more

Extremely Fair, Honest and Clean We had 2 gas leaks. Omar from Lil John's was here in 30 minutes. He assessed the problem, made recommendations, and quoted us an extremely reasonable price. He was up front about all labor / parts costs and made suggestions as to how we might save a few bucks. I still called around to find a cheaper option, but no one could beat their quote. My parents just needed a drain unclogged. These guys really do put on a great show with fancy terms, some fancy machines and cameras and whatever's and didn't even finish the job and walked away with over $1000. They left us with a warranty for a job that wasn't finished. What is the warranty for? The clogged drain they left us with? Another company came in two days later and fixed the same problem for 1/10th of the price. I hope they don't do this to others. I am utterly disappointed with this company. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Working with this company has been a NIGHTMARE. My parents had a huge water bill a few months in a row and couldn't find any source of a leak so they looked for a plumber and found Lil John. The owner came out and didn't find a leak but said that their water pressure was too high and they needed a new pressure regulator. They charged $675 for that service (which we later found out from other plumbers should have been around $300-$400). The new regulator they installed was apparently faulty and busted their backyard sprinklers. They said they would have to get a new regulator in the morning and they jimmy rigged the old regulator so that they would at least have trickling water to be able to flush toilets. The next morning they came back hours later than they said they would, swapped out the regulator again, and left. We finally thought we had water only to find out that it ran for about 15 seconds before turning back to a trickle. My parents called and said the water still was not running correctly and they said they were busy and would send someone the next morning. My parents demanded they send someone that evening as we had been without water for almost 2 days already. A guy did come out but said the issue could not be resolved until morning. My parents made it clear that they were not happy with the service and the company said they would "make it right". The next morning they came back and finally did get our water running again and said they would take $100 (which in my opinion was a joke) off the bill and would be back in 2 days to fix the sprinklers. They were too busy and did not come back in 2 days. After calling them again, a few days later someone came out to fix the sprinklers. We finally thought the nightmare was over only to discover that they not only never credited my parents the $100 they said they would, but they incorrectly charged them!! My mom paid approximately half in cash and half on the credit card, but they charged the full amount to the credit card. We called them again and they responded that they left the cash in the truck and would fix the bill. Well big surprise, they never fixed the bill and my mom finally had to call the credit card company and dispute the charges. This company never did what they were hired to do, left us without water for a couple days, overcharged my parents, didn't show up when they said they would, and despite their claims that they would make it right, never actually did so. read more

I cannot tell you how pleased and impressed I was with the service I received from Lil John's Rooter & Plumbing. My technician, Ramon Torres, went far above and beyond what I would expect any service tech to do to help resolve the plumbing problem I was having. Despite having to take extra time out to purchase a part, I was not charged any more money than what I was originally quoted. Also, Mr. Torres made sure my kitchen was sparkling clean when he left. Next time I need a plumber, I will be asking for Mr. Torres! He was fantastic!!! read more

Plumber showed up on time and was nice. He believed that there was a slow leak based on reading the meter and suggested leak detection would be beneficial. We had the leak detector come out and after being unable to locate the leak, he said that the based on how slight the meter movement was that leak detection was not really needed. The service cost $375 (which was a discounted rate yet still much higher than competitors offering it for $275). We lost faith in the company and did not hire to repair the leak. The people were nice but pricey and better communication may have averted unneeded costs. read more

Unreliable. Promises not kept, they don't call or show up when they say they will, and sometimes they'd disappear for hours, HOURS! Job not finished on time, lots of aggravation! They replaced entire gas line in yard, but gas leaked from their newly installed pipe, and they had to return after I had paid in full, and after Gas Co. said it leaked. They also installed bulb valve backwards (facing house). This is the worst company of any kind I've ever dealt with. When I call the manager, Omar, he is argumentative, places blame, raises his voice to talk over me, takes no responsibility, and acts like its all my fault! He needs training in customer relations! I had no gas, hot water, stove, or shower for several days, (and I've been sick), a job supposed to take one day dragged into four days! They left behind a mess in my yard, mud and handprints on two sides of the house, a trench not filled in, debri in the yard, pavers covered in mud. The manager, Omar, said he's the top guy, nobody else for me to talk with, and said the owner doesn't want to talk with customers like me. He also threatened to put a lien on my house after I stopped payment on check because the line they installed leaked gas! Really unbelievably awful. I released the check, but manager wouldn't even deduct amount it cost me to put a hold on the check. I never want to deal with him or Lil John' Plumbing again! One day I was left waiting three hours for a guy who said he'd be here in a few minutes to finish the job. The m anager makes excuses for everything or implies its my fault. So bad it's surreal. When I told Omar that my outdoor lights weren't working he implied that they weren't working before the job! After arguing with him he said he'd send somebody. The guy found two places where the wires had been cut through with the shovel or the pick. He spliced them and got my lights working again, but I had to go through such a hassle to get this done. I used Lil John's to change out a bathroom faucet. I had done some of the dismantling but couldn't unlock the rusted nuts holding the old faucet on to the sink. Went to Home Advisor for a plumber and was given several choices. I chose LJ after speaking with them and getting a price for the work. They sent Carlos out to do the work. He was on time and impressed me with how he handled what turned out to be a tricky project. He solved the problem, installed the new faucet and cleaned up leaving the bathroom as if no one had been there. The only downside to using LJ was the inability to use a credit card (system down?) and having to write a check. But I'd probably still have them back if I knew Carlos would be sent for the job. So... 5 stars for Carlos, 4 for LJ. read more

Received a call from Lil John's on a Sunday after having registered with Home Advisor and the appointment was made for the following Monday. Adam called to say he would be later than expected and that was impressive in itself. Had a kitchen faucet that dripped like crazy and thought it might be dripping under the sink. Adam arrived and checked thoroughly under the sink but found no leak. I asked him to check the cartridge on the faucet but he could not take it apart because of its preassembled singular construction. We agreed that a replacement needed to be found and off he went to Home Depot to wait in the long, interminably slow lines. He returned with an upgraded version of the one I already had. Adam worked diligently to replace the faucet saving us $ and aggravation! My impression of this wonderful family owned and operated company was 5 stars plus. Reasonable prices, outstanding workmanship, terrific customer service and sterling dependability. Have only used them once but would definitely use them again when problems arise. read more
