The li'l miner diner is a small diner nestled in a small strip in Gold Canyon. There are spectacular views of the superstitions as you approach it. It is unassuming from the parking lot, Once you set foot inside you find a small diner with sock hop music playing. The owners son manning the grill and a friendly waitress ready to take your order. I have visited a couple times and both times I had quick service and excellently cooked meals. It takes a minute as there is just room for the one cook, but it's worth the wait. My favorite is the "Mikes Favorite Philly" It's a wonderful sandwich cooked in garlic butter and red wine reduction. Torched cheddar at the end provides a perfectly textured sandwich. I can also recommend the Ruben- it's exactly what you would expect.

They can't even keep supplies in stock? Why bother opening a restaurant if can't keep supplies? They got their one shot and they failed!

2 hr wait for service! Mediocre Reuben and extremely small side of slaw. Not enough help behind counter.

First time. Stopped today while running errands…read more Summary: delicious. I notice that a lot of Yelpers like hole-in-the-wall places. The little find on the corner, so to speak. Simple surroundings, but excellent food. This is one of those places, in my opinion. Ordered the Greek salad w/ beef kabob. They even asked how I wanted the meat prepared. I went for rare, and it was rare. Very fresh greens, soft and warm pita bread. Dressing on the side, which I like, because Greek dressing can sometimes be a little acidic. This was not. Smooth, with light acidity. Very tasty. The meat (see picture) was loaded on and delicious. Charred nicely on the outside, rare inside. Presented very well. Baklava for desert. What can I say - I've never really had bad Baklava. Very buttery, honey, pistachios. I'm giving five stars, because I didn't expect this to be so tasty. Expected good. Nothing fancy as far as dining, but very clean. But I don't order the tables and chairs - I order the meal, and that's what I eat. You order at the counter and they serve. The young lady was very friendly - perhaps limited English, but no one was rude. She served my food, and I forgot to grab utensils. She went back to get them w/ no attitude. I saw the cook (maybe the owner/mgr?) serve a couple and very friendly. I saw some bad reviews regarding service, so just wanted to explain that didn't happen to me. Anyway, I will go back here. Hopefully, will be as good as the salad.

If you're looking for a true taste of Arizona history, character, and downright great food,…read moreDirtwater Springs is an absolute must-visit. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into an Old West ghost town saloon, complete with authentic antiques, historic relics, rustic wood floors, and enough character to keep you exploring long after you've finished your meal. The building and its legendary atmosphere have made it a local favorite for decades, and it's even gained a reputation among paranormal enthusiasts as one of Arizona's haunted destinations. Now let's talk about the food. The Bison Burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and worth the trip all by itself. The menu is packed with hearty Southwestern and American favorites that fit the Old West setting perfectly. What really makes Dirtwater Springs special, though, is the people. The bartenders and servers bring just the right mix of sass, humor, and genuine hospitality. Expect some playful sarcasm, plenty of laughs, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming for the history, the ghost stories, the amazing burgers, or just a fun and unique Arizona experience, Dirtwater Springs delivers. Come hungry, stay awhile, and don't be surprised if you find yourself planning your next visit before you've even left the parking lot. Highly recommended!

The potato was so big I could not finish the soup and a container was offered by our waitress. Hubby had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. He liked the pickle on top of his bun. Thought it was a nice playful touch. Our waitress was attentive with drinks. What we didn't care for. The food took forever. A party of five seated after us was served before us. I understand when things go wrong or take longer. Please tell your diners why there is a hold up. I'd much prefer that than. Itching and watch people who arrived after us being served before us with similar dishes I might add. When in the area I may try again. The place has a cute country theme. However, I will probably try another establishment before I come back. If I could give 3.5 I would. They deserve that.
