NEVER use this company. 5/15/2025 on my way to work I had car trouble. I live in White Plains NY. I called my insurance carrier for roadside assistance and the 3rd party vendor contacted Lil Pete's. Had I checked the reviews I would have had better luck pushing my car to the dealership before they showed up. I made the call around 4:30 pm waited for an 1 1/2 then called them for status. I was asked if I was the one looking for a winch out? Absolutely not I had fluids leaking from the front end of my car. Why would I request a winch out. I was told that I then had to call the insurance company again with a new window of 90 to 120 minutes. I called for an update only to be told lady I just got the job I have at least an hour left to respond. I waited and waited as the time on the supposedly arrival time dwindled to zero. Mind you they were assigned the initial request, this is now the 2nd. I called again and was then told that the driver was dropping a car near by and should be to me in 30 minutes. Remind you I started this around 4:30 by 9 pm I still had not seen Lil Pete's driver. His dispatch flat out lied to my carrier that he would be there in 20 minutes. It was 10pm and I finally called Alex's Towing in Elmsford NY. They arrived in 15 minutes and had my car dropped off at the shop by 10:30pm. I will be filing a complaint with my carrier that their trust in Lil Pete's is sorely misplaced and a dis-service to their insureds. I would give zero stars if I could. Was 5 hours late to tow my car that had a scheduled time . Every time I would call to get an update the guy would say he's picking it up now. Hour after hour. Then when I said that if it wasn't delivered soon the auto shop would close, and the man's response was Nissan wouldn't start working on my car today anyways. Which Nissan in fact was ready for my car AT NOON. Horrible. Made dealing with a car issue a million times more stressful than it already was. read more

My 2008 mini van suddenly made a very loud putt-putt noise. I parked it in my driveway and called my AARP towing service number. Within an hour I received a call from Lil Petes Automotive in Mahopac giving me a time frame when the tow truck would be here. The driver then called me when he was in my area. The driver, Mike, was very personable and genuinely concerned about the strange noise. He popped the hood. A spark plug was out. When he started the engine the spark plug popped out again and the putt-putt noise started. It's always helpful when you can tell your mechanic what the problem is and I am so grateful that Mike took the time to research the problem and gave me suggestions to replace the plugs and the wires. Now I know exactly what my mechanic has to do. Thank you, Mike and Pete for going above and beyond and helping a Bronx girl out. One of my sons is buying a house in the Mahopac area and I will be sure to tell him how helpful and knowledgeable the guys from Lil Pete's Automotive have been. read more

Absolutely worst service ever ! Initially told to wait 1 hour for a tow tow, after that hour passed they kept saying 15 minutes, 2.5 hours passed and still no tow truck, not answering the phone @10:00pm. Would never recommend their service to anyone, had to use them because of the Roadside Assistance, already filed complaint with company, unacceptable way to do business. read more

Never in my life have I ever experienced such unprofessional service as I have today with this company. Today under the hood of my car started smoking while driving home from school. I told myself it wasn't a good idea to continue driving so I pulled over and contacted this tow company. After explaining the situation, they told me it would take 20-30 minutes for the tow truck to arrive. So I patiently waited then I received a call 19 minutes later from another number asking if I needed a tow truck and I told him yes and that I had already ordered one that said it would be here in approximately 30 minutes. Then he says " oh yes, it's on it's way". After the call, I waited an entire hour before I called back the original number I had ordered they service with and they kept assuring me that the truck was on its way. 20 minutes later I called the second number that contacted me and he told me that the tow truck broke down but will be there soon bc he is 5 minutes away. By this time I am LIVID. Waited an hour and a half for a service that should have arrived in half an hour. Then after calling both numbers several times ( I called about eight times for each number) with no answer I received a call from the " driver" who said his truck broke down and he is driving down the avenue now. Then he calls me again about 5 minutes later and says he is waiting on his partner to bring anti-freeze for his tow truck. Buy this time, I have been waiting over two hours for a truck that should have been here within 20-30 minutes and no one from the company is answering my calls. At this point, I was basically stranded and if this truck ever did reach who knows if it would do it's job efficiently. Luckily a tow truck was passing and asked if I needed help. If not, I probably would have still been stuck out there. We all know towing companies are not the nicest people but to have a paying customer wait almost three hours for a service that was supposed to arrive within 30 minutes, deliberately not communicate, and send out an insufficient truck is completely unacceptable. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I really want to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else in a time of crisis. read more

Very nasty people that don't take responsibility for thier actions. My car was damage I called got nothing but angry responses . I ask to speak to manager instead of taking fault he go on to try an blame my trusted mechanic, then insulted me by saying he can fix it for me at a low cost. I don't understand what kind of scams they are pulling or why I have to pay for their mistakes . I broke down on my way home from work this morning. Truck just lost all power while still running. I was able to get it into a library parking lot and I called Allstate roadside assistance and they contacted Lil Pete's and told me he would be there at 8:45 am. It was 7:00 am at the time. By this time my husband had gotten to my location so I called lil Pete's and asked if I could just leave. I work 12 hour night shift and needed to get some sleep. I left truck open keys on seat and a $20 tip in visor. At 9:30 am I called mechanic where it was being towed he said it had not arrived. I called lil Pete..no answer. I called a second number for lil Pete he answered and said " driver will be there any minute". Called the mechanic at noon. He said it still hadn't arrived. Called lil Pete at both numbers, no answer. At this point I have no idea if library had me towed! I had a feeling that lil Pete may have recognized my cell phone number so I tried to call from house phone... he answered. He told me that his truck broke down and that he had contacted Allstate and they were sending another company. BS. I had no notice of this from Allstate. I called Allstate. He never called them. Allstate contacted lil Pete and he told them I had cancelled the tow. Worst tow experience ever. Being stuck on the road is stressful enough. If you need a tow don't call lil Pete. He doesn't show. This automotive shop is running an ongoing scam with Pro Shop in the Bronx! They are scouting car accidents, making unsolicited tows of the cars involved in the accident and then taking them to Lil Pete's autobody where they are trying to charge me over $4,000 for a tow and "storage" of the car for 4 days. Unfortunately I was in a car accident resulting in numerous injuries. While I was still in the car, disoriented and waiting for the ambulance, an employee of Lil Pete's Automotive approached me offering to help my sister and I and follow-up with a call to the ambulance. As an undercover tow operator, the employee got my car keys from E.M.S. and towed my car to the tow yard. My father attempted to go to the location of the car, pay the tow fee of $125 and storage fee for 4 days of $296 and was met with hostility. My father never found the car as they gave him and our Allstate Insurance adjuster false addresses so that they could keep the car longer. We later found out Lil Pete's Autobody illegally and without our knowledge or permission took the car to Pro Shop where they tacked on fees and charges which accumulated to $4,196 and will not release my car. Lil Pete's Automotive and Pro Shop are running a scam in the bronx. This company has not serviced or repaired anything on my car. They brought it to Pro Shop to try to force me to allow them to make repairs as they hold the car hostage. This company will take your car and hold you accountable for services that are not provided or agreed upon. Pro Shop never had permission, either verbal or contractual to receive or service the car in any way from the owner or Allstate. Unfortunately, I am in the process of filing a lawsuit. Please do not trust them. If you are in this predicament call the cops as soon as possible. The closest is precinct 49. The phone number there is (718) 918-2000.
