Keeping specialty stores afloat is tough, though, and it's been a long while since I've been aware of any in the area. Happened to stumble on this store as I drove by the area and decided to stop in. Selection is not bad for the size of the establishment, but liimited and much are various bedroom or school type accessories (office supplies, plushies, stickers, etc) and a section in the back for jewelry. They play K pop videos in the corner. If youre into cute little Japanese or Korean cartoon merchandise or anime souvenirs this store is the place. The plush stuff animals are cute but over priced and not in good quality as they can fall apart. Hello Kitty but sadly I left her behind. The merchandise is ridiculously overpriced. $9.99 for a basic tumbler with cartoon characters is too much. The employees are ok. This is a cute little store with a good selection of things you would rather buy in person than online. For example, I really wanted to find some slim Japanese pens so that I can carry them around with me. But, the cost of shipping online per pen was just too much for me. When I came in this store, there was a section online for pens. I basically found what I was looking for unexpectingly. They also have a bunch of other goods too. There is a lot of figurines from animes. They are generally the smaller versions of a lot of toys. Nothing big and fancy. They also have some albums from Blackpink and other popular groups. The location is not bad at all. It is next to the Iron Age and the Pike Kitchen location. It is a small location with limited parking in the front, but there are extra parking in the small garage in the back. If you decide to go on a Saturday, I would recommend the garage in the back. read more

There is a lot to see in this store! They carry products from face masks, to hair accessories, to cute K-Pop collectibles and even a giant Pikachu plush! The hubby and I stopped by to peak into the store and didn't purchase anything since the prices were a bit much. I understand some of these are specialty products, but seeing a $11.99 hair clip didn't justify the price for me. I did like that the store was well-organized and the music video to the song playing could be viewed on their TV screen. 7/18/20 Not one hello as guests entered the store. There are a number of things here for the Anime and Hentai fans. Most of it I wouldn't buy myself, but it all depends on the individual. I stand here in the store by a Anime couple called Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine. I wonder if Sean Hardman has been to this store in Rockville? This is much smaller than the one in Virginia. I was so excited that Lil thingamajigs has stayed open! This is definitely the place to go to find cute and creative gifts for yourself... I mean others. Having spent a lot of time in Japan it was awesome to find similar items to everything we loved there. Squishies, plush, small dinner items, anime, and accessories filled the rather small shop. When they first opened I had concerns about how long they would be there. Located off the pike in a smaller shopping strip it's easy to miss. However; the store (pre Covid) was always busy! People really love this store and it shows. Prices do seem rather high but there are good deals to be found. Also, some things are just so cute it doesn't matter how much they cost. Overall I keep coming back because every time I go in I find something new that I either didn't see before or is new. If you haven't yet checked this place out you should. read more

I fell in love at first sight. It's a Kpop lovers' dream in there! I was more crazy about their extensive collection of plushies, from Pusheen to Studio Ghibli. Yes I bought three plushies and I'm not proud lol. Basics: It was clean, the guy at the register was friendly and wore a mask and they had a plastic barrier for covid-19. I roamed the store for at least fifteen minutes and it was nearing closing time, and he was still very polite to me. Other: it's clearly a Korean store with both Korean and Japanese products. They don't just have Kpop stuff and plushies, they also have school supplies, figurines, bathroom stuff, jewelry, and tons of stationary. It's a little tiny shop filled with Japanese good if you would normally find in Japan, with really cute plushy's in traditional accessories, you would normally find in Japanese beauty, shops, and of chorus, Japanese arcade machines. It's a little expensive for the plushy's and figurines, but then again they're importing from Japan. The staff here are really nice and let you look around before you decide on what you want. read more

This place is sooo great, they have plushies, kpop merch, stationery, makeup and some skincare! The prices are a bit more since its kpop merch but the stationary is priced amazing! I got most of my school supply from here, a notebook was 3$ and it was adorable. A folder with many sections was less then 5$ if im remembering that right!! A cute souvenir shop with a variety of items primarily shipped from Japan and Korea. Located right next to Iron Age, this place is hard to miss with the huge stuffed animals displayed on the glass window. They sell cute school/office supplies such as pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, planners, stickers, and more. They also have K-Pop accessories, phone cases, and car accessories. The place is very organized, you will be able to find exactly what you're looking for. The owner was pleasant to chat with and informed me that the store just opened last Saturday. It's a good place to kill time while waiting for a table at Iron Age or afterwards to digest the unlimited food. I'm happy to know that we finally have a place like this near by! read more

Usually I go to the thingamajigs I'm Annandale, but I was sooo excited to see that they opened one up on Rockville pike! It's located right by Iron Age. They have toons of cute things here and it's always fun to look around. I love the cute earrings here too in the back, but they're a bit pricey. Like 17$$?? For a pair of earrings. They need a sale section for people like mee. It's the kind of store you visit once for the novelty. But after one visit you kind of already see everything and the stock doesn't seem to be ever anything new. If they added new things and maybe adjust their prices I'd actually come more regularly. Don't really expect the cashier to notice you, I kind of prefer that. I think most people in the store are there only to look rather buy anything really. Which I don't blame them, because the prices are pretty jacked lol. But I guess the cashier's from both locations tend to give off cold ignoring vibes. read more

Small stationary store that's easily missed or overlooked! It's located right off of Rockville Pike and a few stores down from Iron Age. Many of their products are heavily inspired by Korean culture so be prepared for a lot of K-pop music, animated plushies and action figures. There was only one employee working when I walked in today around 5 PM and maybe a total of 5 customers browsing. The store itself is clean and fairly well organized. I personally liked the fact that there's a variety of items from hair accessories, kitchen utensils, stationary products, etc. but there isn't a large variety of selection within those categories. As for pricing, all items were labeled with their costs. I think everything is reasonably affordable and I would gladly drop money on so many of their cute products. I have to say that I did not purchase anything during this visit so I cannot comment on the customer service aspect of this experience. With that being said, I'll definitely be back to buy some We Bare Bear socks, hair scarves and stationary papers and pencils! read more

This place is such a cute shop to buy stationery, accessories, anime products, Kpop, etc. I would definitely recommend this place to friend interested in any of those things and at least in my opinion a good price! My only problem with the store is the very little amount of labeling. Prices aren't labeled on EVERYTHING in the store. I don't want to keep picking up something that catches my eye and having to ask the cashier how much it cost. Also labeling on the pens. I really like the stationary at this place (haven't really shopped for many other things beside it) and it's so hard to tell what each pen and pencil are at first glance also price. It seems people just rip the pricing off and color all over the labels to test the pens out. Is it hard to put labels and price on things?? read more

Me and my friend always come here every Wednesday and it's always gets better every time when it comes to selections of albums in fact, they sell light sticks were even better. I would say about 2 to 3 albums would cost u 130 or more depending upon what album you get. So I went in with my little cousins and we were the only 4 people in the store. After looking at the earrings the Asian employee with long hair RAN past me to check the earrings to see if we were stealing after we looked at them. The Hispanic woman with glasses then was rewatching the security tapes in front of me to make sure we didn't steal anything. We never steal LET ALONE Why tf would steal anything in a store with no one else there??? When talking to the employees they were not apologetic. And made it seem like they do that for everyone. One night, my boyfriend was driving me down 355 and the Lil' Thingamajigs sign caught my attention so I turned around as the car drove past and loudly gasped "OH MY GOD!!!!!" I still remember the joy of shopping at Lil' Thingamajigs when they had a store by TJMaxx. So many cute things and gift ideas! I was incredibly excited to check it out and finally was in the area (shout out to Pike Kitchen!) last night. They sell a bunch of adorable things from Japan and Korea: stationary, K-Pop stuff, jewelry, socks, stuffed animals, figurines, toys, etc. It's great and all, but yet I feel like something is lacking. Perhaps I'm jaded from my recent trip to Japan where I was overwhelmed with the amount of adorableness. Maybe the prices are also too incredibly high. I'm not sure. But I feel like in this day and age, it should be easier to get more (and cheaper) things from abroad. Perhaps I'll be back during the holidays for some gift ideas, but maybe it's just easier to stick to online shopping, sadly. read more

I went in looking for a thick tear-off notepad, but nothing that substantial was found. Be warned, they do not take cash! For one of the only stores like this in the area, it's pretty great to be able to physically buy the products you usually only see photos of online! Love the cute stationery like the pens/stickers/notebooks and the plushies. They sell a lot of Kpop and anime merchandise along with a giant wall of toy mecha/gundam building sets too, if you're into that. A great thing is that they rotate their stock every month (or maybe it's a few weeks-- I'm not sure) so every time you visit, there's always something new and interesting to go back and look at. Although it also means that you need to save up fast or snatch the item you want quick before it gets lost to the sands of time (or put somewhere in a back room indefinitely until it gets rotated back put again. I think.) A criticism is that they don't put price labels on many of their products. It's not like I don't mind asking the cashier, but I don't want to constantly keep asking them to check the price or to cancel a transaction and put an item back because I found out it was way too expensive for me. Another issue is that while I've gotten some good deals on pens and dust masks, some of the products they sell are definitely overpriced. While the products from big names like Sanrio and Line Friends are always expensive regardless of where you buy them, some of the smaller brand/cheaper stuff is way too expensive for what they are. I have a friend who recently confirmed to me that the Kpop albums there have been marked up and that buying physical copies online was cheaper for her. I get that they need to turn a profit, but sometimes... cheaply made keychains, stickers, and pens/children's school supples do NOT need to be that expensive. Despite my beef with the some of the prices here, me and my friends still make it a point to come visit every now and then. It's always interesting to see what they have out, and with academic stress eating us alive literally every waking moment... it's a treat to just be in the presence of such cute items (and buy a little something for ourselves if we get lucky) read more

Very neat and clean store located conveniently next to another favorite store. I plan on bringing my granddaughter her because of all the anime items. For me, I was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection of pens in the smaller size nibs (.38 or .28 mm). I've been special ordering mine, so it's nice to know I can drive and look them over first. I love this store! It was worth the hour drive haha from where I live. Seeing that I just got started into the world of Kpop , specifically BTS. I was excited to look for a merch store that carries all things kpop , and a random google search bought me here.
