People in the shop are always very helpful and I've come to trust their input however I was sold a type of CBD oil which was specifically not what I asked for. I didn't realize until I looked it up online after not getting the intended effect, they had sold me a product with the incorrect delivery method. I was really disappointed because I trust them and ended up spending a lot on a product that wasn't what I asked for at all. I guess the two people in the shop just weren't sure what the product was, but I'm super disappointed. They're really friendly here, however and like I said I've had okay experiences in the past, but maybe head somewhere else for CBD related questions, or do more research than I did. Cool little spot definitely came in clutch when we first got into the city and we were looking for hemp wraps.

Easy location to find. Limited parking. The staff are very "comfortable" and "laid back" but I assume it just goes with the environment. I walked in and one guy was gnawing on chicken bone but immediately greeted me and help me get what I need. They seem to be knowledgeable about the products they sell and I found everything I needed. They did advise that you can come in there to smoke hookahs they provide. (You can't bring your own.) I saw on another review that the prices were expensive. I only got a tong, coals and come shisha and I found the prices to be comparable to other places.....maybe the other reviews were referring to the actual hookahs or other more expensive products. Of course, there are a number of hookah places in the L5P area, but this place is just as good and one of the only ones I know of that are in midtown. read more

Ok this is my first yelp review but I had to say this after my extremely awkward/aggressive experience with the manager tonight as a regular customer. Yes, the prices are definitely high for the area considering the amount of vape shops in midtown, but I go there frequently because of how convenient it's located and I generally enjoyed the customer service until today. I'm a regular and they know me pretty well, but today I came in asking if I could get a replacement because my $25 vape stopped working. I told them right off the bat I totally would understand if I couldn't get a refund bc it got water logged and it wasn't their fault, but asked if I could get a one time replacement since I literally just bought it a few days before. Instead of a simple "no, sorry" I got a very long, antagonistic, demeaning lecture about how I would be ripping off the business and ended with her asking me if I wanted to "take her home" (ie screw her, im a girl btw), and then after I was about to leave she asked me if I was going to try to take apart the old vape and drink it straight from the container. I politely said no and threw out the old vape at the store. Y'all this lady was on one, no idea what I said or did to piss her off like that, I wasn't even arguing with her, just listened to her kinda speechless. I guess the power went out and back on earlier that day and that caused some issues but no reason to be shitty to a regular customer over something so small. Her employee and the other customers looked extremely uncomfortable but did not say anything. I bought a g pen that worked for 1 day. I'm in from out of town. It worked for a few hours. I called and asked if I could exchange it and they said no problem. So I walked the mile to the shop. When I got there the same girl told me her boss said I was out of luck. I will never spend another dime here and have never taken the time to leave a review on yelp, but I'm moved to do so today. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Horrible horrible business. I just tried to return a broken vape pen that they convinced me to buy (at a higher price) because it was SOOO much better than the one I was using. It stopped charging after ONE WEEK and they refused to replace it. What kind of business does that?! A bad one. If you can't stand behind your products, don't sell them. Worse yet, they didn't seem to remotely care that they'd suckered me out of $30. No remorse, no apology...nada. Apparently, I'm not the first person to get ripped off here. 0/5 stars. Hi, So I went to this smoke shop because it was in midtown and I needed some coals for my hookah/shisha. I went there and they only had the self lighting coals, the three kings brand. I bought 2, a big and small roll of 10. When I go home and use them, the coals were bad and they just crumbled. You could taste it in your smoke as well. I have been smoking hookah for over 10 years and have never seen this happen. When I call to see if they can swap them for something else, they say no. They do not stand by their products or service. The guy proceeds to hang up in the middle of our conversation. This was my first and last experience here. Customer service is shit and so are their products. I do not recommend this place to anyone. This is a great place to get hookah items from. The inside of here is very nice. Whatever you need they have it for your hookah. This is my number one store to go to. The service is good. It's just the parking . They have like 5 parking spots. But you can park I. J.R. Crickets parking too just make sure you order something from there first lol.. read more

This place is decent for picking up any basic items you may need in a pinch. Pipes, hookah, vape. But, it's all pretty standard product. The customer service is weak at best. They don't stand behind their products. Their oil battery costs $25 ($10 more than most competitors). It failed within weeks of purchase and they didnt even try to replace it when I went in. Visited for the first time yesterday and impressed with the selection and the prices are very reasonable. I was just in to browse with a friend, and Alana (sp?) was awesome. Very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. While we were there, we just happened to witness the ultimate douchebag in action. He was not only rude to Alana, but also to my friend and me. Alana kept her cool and the guy just kept on and on til he finally left. I was shocked by his audacity and proud of her for not losing it on him! Don't waste your money or your time. I purchased a bag of Pipe Tobacco. It was listed as Vanilla flavored. The staff on duty were very helpful, however the product SUCKED! It smelled & tasted like regular cigarette tobacco. Not even a small hint of Vanilla. I saw on my receipt, that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. So I called to see if maybe they would be nice enough to at least give me some of my money back. Since I paid $30.00 for a useless bag of garbage tobacco. The manager on duty took my call, listened to my complaint, and said he would speak to the store owner. That has been 3 days ago, & I'm yet to receive a call back. A bad experience. I saw this shop was close to home so I called to ask if they had my favorite hand rolling tobacco, Amsterdam Shag. They said yes so I drove down only to find that they didn't have any. They sold me another variety from the same brand , Stockholm Blend. I get home and open the bag to find it completely dried out and unsmokable. I called to let them know, so they tell me I can bring it back and they will check it out. So I drive back and they say there is nothing wrong with it and they can't replace it - at all with any variety. They charge 30 percent more than the other store I go to and dont care about their customers. I'll never go back. Stay away. read more

Careful of purchasing anything electronic from these guys. Three weeks after purchasing a vape pen from this store, the heating element just stopped working. I took the pen base back to have it exchanged for another that worked and the guy that runs the store continuously asked me what I did to break it. I visited Village Smoke as a first timer today and experienced some of the best service I've ever had! I didn't catch the girl's name who helped me, but she said she had only been there for a week or two - she was so friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help! Two other customers came in while I was looking around, and she managed to help all of us equally while continuing to seem friendly and laid back. walk in the door, atmosphere is cool and chill. walk up to the counter and am greeted by a very polite girl. i kindly ask for a bag of amsterdam shag tobacco. she told me it was 12 dollars. i jokingly complained about that price as its kinda outrageous, but was still gonna buy it. the very nice cashier nicely says to the owner that the price is high. The owner was kinda snarky with me and said "well this is midtown!" i (still smiling and in a good mood) said to her "there is another shop in midtown i go to sometimes." to which she responded "well maybe its downtown i dont know." while avoiding eye contact as though to totally dismiss me. i said to the cashier "who is that?" and she quietly whispered "...shes the owner."
