Some of the most miserable customer service people you'll ever meet. I don't write reviews, but this was extremely awful. I go in and three employees are just chatting it up and im waiting for two minutes, no acknowledgment at all, until I walk up and ask if they're still open. This lady acts like shes being bothered? This is the worst post office ever. My letter carrier broke my mailbox post last Saturday by trying to shove in a very heavy and large Amazon box in it. He didn't come to the door or anything. I have had to pay $250.00 today to get it fixed. I have submitted a claim to USPS, we'll see what happens. read more

Only one star because zero stars is not an option... All types of problems have been persisting for years, but my most recent bad experiences compelled me to write this review. Describing each would be redundant, as they keep reoccurring and are not limited to my personal experience. It is also worth noting the reviews the 30047 location has received on Google and Yelp. I don't normally look at either one to further form an opinion about a Post Office, but did so recently. I was not surprised at both the sheer number of low scores and almost uniformly negative comments posted. These are remarkable in that this represents only the people who have taken the time to post negative reviews. I am certain that many others, after a bad experience, simply stay away as much as possible or silently fume at the dismal performance of employees at the Lilburn Post Office. Based upon (mainly) my personal experience and what I have read online, the 30047 Post Office apparently has a sick culture and poor leadership that tolerates substandard, disinterested and rude employees. They are so horrible it's even conceivable that this wretched behavior is being actively encouraged - that would explain what is happening there. It's amazing - this Post Office location is one of the worst. It is completely broken, and nobody in the USPS cares to do anything to improve it. USPS upper management needs to make some drastic changes at this location, or it will never turn around and the online scores will continue to bottom out. And- complaining to anyone, at any level in the USPS is a total waste of time. They are garbage people presiding over a garbage organization and have zero incentive, or even desire, to correct or change anything. read more

Stopped in to scan 2 packages and drop them off. The automated machine was not working and the line was out the door. It's a shame we can't trust them to scan packages in in a timely fashion. I'm sure she felt stupid after I told her I had a video showing my packages were never deliver like she said she did. Nasty, disgusting, petty attitudes from the postal workers that are getting paid to do a job. I have a post box there for my business, these children can't even scan in my packages for my customer to get their items. Then they will stuff my box with my packages that are fragile just so they won't give me a key to the bigger boxes. My orders have been stolen by them. I've been told on numerous occasions that I need to stop ordering for a while because I get too much stuff, yet I clearly said I have a business. So, I must stay broke so these women don't have to do nothing on the job that they get paid for. It's beyond me how these women stay working here. Lately, all of my mail seem like it has been tampered with. Most envelopes that look like a check of some sort is always opened on the corner. Today the coupon mail that says, "there may be $100 dollars" in this envelope was opened all the way. I've noticed this pattern for a couple of months. The quality of post office has gone downhill in the past few years. I used to enjoy coming but nowadays you have other options as UPS or FEDEX, even DHL. The experience was more than once so I have to say, bye Felicia to Lilburn Post Office. The lines are always so long. Out of like 5-6 registers, only 2 workers would be there, sometimes just one. No kidding. Today did it for me. I had a small flat package I wanted to send to a friend in Germany. She just wanted postcards of Atlanta. You know how much she said it would be for me to send to Germany??? It weighed like a 1.10 oz and could be sent as a letter. $14 Yes, you read that right. FOURTEEN DOLLARS. No freaking way. I mean, I was annoyed that she wanted me to fill out the custom info, which I had no idea why. I did anyways. Fourteen Dollars. I went to a post office closer to my home. There was a line but only like 4 people ahead of me. Just one person. Two registers. Now, with that I can understand. Then later someone else came to help out. Fully staffed. Went to mail a package today only to be ignored. There were only three customers, one being helped by the person across the desk to get passport form missing from the rack. I was next in line due to the other customer still putting his package in a box. I proceeded to walk to the desk. The service personnel helped locate something for a coworker. She proceeded to walk around even got out of the desk area and went outside in the lobby talking with someone. I have been waiting for almost 10minutes when other customers came in. She asked if they had an appointment for passport. She (Tranace, as I noted her badge) started helping them and carried conversations. I spoke to inform her of my having to be there for quite sometime, she then informed me that she's the passport person. I mentioned that I've not gotten any assistance and she told me that she never called me and that the person assigned at the desk will be back. I said that information was not something I was told because she never said a word earlier about it. She repeated to inform me again that she never called me. As I walked away I told her that she could have informed me of that information or that she even acknowledged my being there. This personnel was downright rude and no customer service ethics at all. She shouldn't even be working in a job to serve people. If I can rate this place no star I would. I've lived in this city for over 20yrs and this. Whoa how things have changed! :/ Came by to ship a package out. Online it says they offer a self-service kiosk, so I booked it over there to use it. Guess what? It was broken. Funny, because the one at the Tucker post office is broken too. And the Norcross branch doesn't have a self-service kiosk. Since the line was about 30 people long and out the door, I left without shipping my package. I miss the Buford post office. They had two kiosks, and they were never out of order. Oh well! read more

The service level at Lilburn has declined over many years. I recognize their business model continues to lose money and their answer continues to be "raise the postal rates." Increasing rates and declining service would have a short shelf-life in any for-profit business. Only the government can continue to survive in this environment. I've had mail delivered to my house that was for a residence 4 miles from mine. Most recently, my one week vacation hold was a "fail." No mail delivered after waiting for 3 days after the date they were supposed to deliver to my home. I am now "forced" to travel to the post office and wait in line (hopefully only 30 minutes) and ask them for my mail . Looking forward to that! Not hopeful. read more

I got in line after work yesterday and there were about 4 people in front of me. When I got to the front of the line, I stood there for at least 20 minutes. Maybe more. The line behind me grew to 8 or more people. There were two people working the counter and one of them was having a long conversation with two other people, showing pictures of grandchildren and stamping a series of large envelopes with glacial speed. I think she served one person to the other lady's 10 in the same time period. It's like the rest of us were invisible. The only reason this review got 2 stars instead of one is that the woman who finally helped me (not the chatty Kathy) was quite pleasant. read more

The Lilburn post office is a total joke. I subscribe to the post office daily delivery service so I get an email every day and can see what I'm getting. In May I was supposed to get my tax assessment but it was delivered to somewhere other than me; I reported that it was not delivered and here it it Sept.15 and I still don't have it. Some days I get notified of the days mail and the mail doesn't come to anyone in the neighborhood(we had our flag up for outgoing mail as did our next door neighbors and the flags are still up). Some days the carrier doesn't even come thru the neighborhood. Someone higher up needs to investigate this post office and make some changes for the better! read more

I am constantly receiving mail for other homes, people that don't live at my house, and I've even had a package simply go missing even though the tracking said it was delivered. Today, I came home to find a package jammed so tightly into my mailbox that I couldn't remove it. After 5 minutes of prying the package out with a butter knife, I was finally able to remove a battered box that shouldn't have been in the mailbox to begin with. What's up with bad service and post offices? I think it's just a perpetual cycle of annoyed people coming in, annoying the employees, which takes it on the customers, and so on. That must be it right? I've only been here twice and it was for picking up items that apparently wasn't left at my house for some reason. It was a decent experience. On both occasions, there was only one employee helping everyone so it was kinda slow until someone else came out just for pick up. Went in at 10am on a Tuesday morning which wasn't slow at all. I like the layout of the parking lot because it's just a one way flow, makes it a lot easier to avoid idiots in the parking lot. Other than that, it has your essential mailing things that you may need, the post office is on the right while the PO boxes are right in front when you walk in. No postal credit union here though, which I would like to see. read more

Ive stopped going to the location on Boggs road and this one is much closer to me but i went to boggs cos they have longer hours. The people that work here are usually very nice and dont try to hog the priority mail tape. im not sure of the names of the others but this guy especially is always courteous to all customers so i made sure to check his name tag. His name is Nur Jaria. I dont know if they do recognition for their employees but i hope they do and give him some sort of award, gift card, lunch money. something!!! I've been trying to call this post office for four weeks the line is constantly busy. I've attempted to go by the post office on three different occasions and there's only one person working at the counter and lines of people that go out the door. Especially during the risk of Covid, I refuse to wait longer than 20 minutes in this post office without advancing an inch in the customer service line. Yesterday there were 2 counter employees and both spent the entire 20 minutes I waited working on passports? I thought people had to make appointments to have passports processed? But one employee kept running to his camera to look at pictures returning to his position to staple photos on paperwork. Mind you, there was no customer at the counter waiting for this paperwork, so to whom it belonged - I don't know, but the 20 people in line waited 15 minutes watching... finally a 2nd employs came out and took a man who was at the inside of the waiting area who happen to be directly parallel with myself. He had been standing their filling out a passport form, he was waved to the counter and ran out to his car 2x for some additional IF while the rest of us stood there and watched. I foolishly thought that the counter was for people who wanted to mail packages and letters or pick up packages , mail, or purchase stamps. I left after 20 minutes. The line did not process one customer during this time and there were 6 people behind me, with more people in line out the door. At one point there were 40+ packages sitting on the left side of the counter and 2 other employees came from the lobby area to pick those up and quickly disappeared out the door. At no point were the customers informed about the wait time, or why we were having to wait so long. I had 2 important pieces of mail sent to me 3 weeks ago that I have yet to receive so I would not have been here otherwise. I still don't know if they have my mail or not. As a tax payer I am disgusted that this is where my tax dollars go. I wouldn't trust them with my mail-in election ballot if my life depended on it and quite frankly this election all of our lives depend on getting our vote to count. Close this inefficient waste of taxpayer dollars facility and replace it with a dependable private service. That's my opinion. read more

I came in here to get my passport done since it was only 10 minutes away from where I lived. I came at 10:10 and my appointment was scheduled for 10:30. I walked inside and they weren't so busy. When it was my turn I had a amazing staff with amazing personality. She made sure I was informed with everything I needed to know, and she was super friendly. She got everything done for me before my actual appointment I got out of there by 10:22 and made it to work on time. Best post office I've been too in my area. read more

Needed a passport and my first stop for this was the post office in Norcross by the Police station. Let's just say it was a long excruciating wait and no one seemed to act like the folks waiting in line were interrupting their leisurely Friday lunches. Lucky for me, I forgot a document...Yayyy and Duh at the same time. So I remade my appt and went to the PO in Lilburn. There was a line but all of the staff was very nice and sweet and they moved quickly making sure everyone's needs were taken care of and they worked as a team. I've been coming here for years and it was so much better customer service! It's the same workers but boy have they slacked off! They argue with customers, it's almost like they purposefully make people wait just so that people get frustrated and they can ask them to leave! It's quite sad. There's a line of 10-15 people....one person got everyone. 2 other workers just standing here. Please train them on better customer service. This has to be the worst post office in metro Atlanta. Phone is almost always busy (off the hook, perhaps?), and when it does ring, if often goes unanswered. One time after returning from a trip, my held mail was delivered, and it included EIGHT pieces of mail that were not for me, and seven of those were not even in my subdivision. I also did not get some items I knew should have been in the held mail, and I can only assume those items were delivered to someone else. read more
