This was exactly the experience we were hoping for! Cabins come with mini fridge outside grill, firepit, beds, couches, and tv with cable. The park itself has WiFi. We brought our two dogs and they are having a blast. The lake is a short walk down the hill and perfect place to take a little swim with the pups! If the cabin wasn't rented out for the weekend we would of stayed the entire week. We might even come back after this weekends renter is out. This place is absolutely amazing if your looking for a rustic romantic get a away! Bring bug spray!

The cabins are right on Friess Lake too which is 121 acre lake with a maximum depth of 48 feet. Plenty of room for a large group to spread out but the house also provides real coziness that makes it feel like a (very cool) home away from home. Our group loved shooting pool, feeding the jukebox, playing pinball, and taking turns at the one-armed bandit all while enjoying a roaring fire near the full-sized, classic wooden bar. the hot tub was truly awesome and large enough for us all to enjoy and we also loved taking advantage of the huge dining room to play games or the super comfy den area to hang out and watch movies. We loved the layout of the upstairs bedrooms giving everyone privacy but also being near each with a vintage hotel vibe. I couldn't get over the wrap-around balcony shared by all the bedrooms...loved it... so many details big and small that truly make this place an original. Seeing as it was early January we couldn't truly appreciate the huge yard with its many statues and sculptures (and a vintage phone booth that works) as well as the close proximity to the water, but I hope we can stay again when it's warm to take it all in during the peak season. The host and his assistant are super attentive and very responsive. It's clear they put a lot of time and planning into trying to give everyone the best experience possible. My only regret is that we didn't bring more people with us to share this treasure! I highly recommend.

The owner was so considerate as well in ensuring the experience was perfect. The history of the house can be found here https://getawaytowisconsin.com/story which was provided at the house and a cool find. Plan to come back ... I think it would be an amazing location to host a murder mystery party in the future. My favorite features were - Using the old style phone that work to call the various rooms in the house (Even the telephone booth in the backyard) - Competing on the springy nickel machines and pinball for high score. If you lose, use your 5 cents instead to buy a gumball :) - Pool table and playing board games. Great location to have a fun time indoors during the winter season. - Amazing and big deep hot tub

Each floor has a communal area with full size luxury kitchen, dining room, and two seating areas. This is an ideal setup for wedding parties, company retreats, and other group gatherings. For me this was very convenient and easy for business travel. Similar to the big chains that are all by app now. Coffee service is excellent and included with nespresso machine, milk, non-cow milk and frother. Workout space is in basement and not bad. Very clean. Mariott clean. Not many service people as no front desk but there is an office and they were nice and helpful. Fun fact- this is my 500th review :)

However , we did meet the manager, upon our departure inquiring about our stay. In which we would definitely stay again , the experience was great and relaxing.
