During my dog's appointment, I came outside to walk my other dog and heard something yelling from the grooming van. I stood near the truck and heard the groomer repeatedly screaming at my dog in Spanish because he was not sitting still. The yelling became louder and longer, and she sounded clearly frustrated and aggressive. When I walked toward the front of the van to see what was happening, she closed the window so I could no longer see inside. I knocked on the van and asked why she was screaming at my already scared dog. She suddenly pretended she could not speak English, even though she had been speaking English with me. She eventually admitted that she had been yelling and called her manager. I also spoke with the manager, who defended the groomer's behavior and did not apologize or make any real effort to resolve the situation. I told them the only way the appointment would continue was if she finished with the van door open, because I could not see what she was doing to my dog, or she needed to give him back to me. She refused to finish and gave me my dog back. They also refused to let me speak to corporate or anyone other than Claudia who was completely unhelpful and never apologized. Grooming can be difficult, and dogs may be scared or uncooperative, but repeatedly screaming at an animal out of frustration is completely unacceptable and unprofessional and clearly is not going to help. After trusting this company with my dogs for three years, I am now left wondering how animals are treated when their owners cannot see or hear what is happening inside the van. I'm also wondering if my dog has been abused in the past. I don't blame the groomer I blame the company. I explained I had a Great Pyrenees type dog 11 years old, over 100 pounds, who needed a bath and trim. They quoted me $180. When they arrived, I was told they were expecting a short haired dog (duh). They told me it would be an extra fee for long hair, plus the added cost of de-shedding. I ended up spending $300 for a half bathed dog, untrimmed that I had to brush out myself. My dog couldn't stand up for hours afterward. Avoid this company. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this grooming facility. After my puppy was groomed here, she came home with a busted blood vessel in her eye. I recorded the groomer admitting that he had to hold her head "tight" because she didn't like the bath. My dog is a puppy and has been groomed before with no issues, so this is unacceptable. When I contacted customer service, I was given a completely different excuse and told it was because my dog was "stressed." So which is it? Was she stressed, or was her head held too tightly? The lack of accountability is alarming. To make matters worse, no manager has contacted me despite multiple promises. I was told someone would call me "today," then "today or tomorrow," and now I'm still waiting. When I followed up, I was brushed off. There has been no sense of urgency, concern, or care for my dog's wellbeing. How does a dog leave your facility injured, and no one has the decency to reach out? That shows a complete lack of professionalism and compassion. This business does not seem to care about animals--only money. The service is overpriced, the communication is terrible, and the customer service is even worse. If you care about your pet, do NOT take them here. Lilo's did an excellent job with the bath and grooming. BUT, BEWARE - they put PERFUME on ALL their dogs groomed. It is not listed as part of the service nor was I asked if it was okay by the groomer. Doggie perfume is carcinogenic. At best, it's pure chemicals that add a toxic burden to the liver/detox pathways of the animal (and humans breathing it in afterwards). My entire home smells like the fake perfume used on my sweet, elderly dog - it is not a "neutral" substance. Anyone who says so is uneducated or does not care enough to research. If you do not communicate up front that you do not want it, Lilo's will use it. Your dogs health will be impacted. The degree of impact you may not know until their little body is unable to handle the cumulative effect of the toxic burden over time (perfume adding to it) = cancer, autoimmune, etc. read more

Hello lilo mobile Pet Grooming Spa Houston!!!! I just got my two goldendoodles cut from this grooming company. My dogs names are Zeke and Jack. Jack is bleeding on both ears on the top of his head and also on his ear tips and underneath his neck line as well. I am very dissatisfied with the service. My dog does not deserve to be treated like this as well and I do want to request a manager to call me immediately and also need a refund for my services that was not provided at 100%. John on the phone specified and stated it was because of his nails bleeding from trimming, and that was a lie. His nails are not bleeding at all. John requested for the groomer to come back to my house to see about the services and I told him that would not be a good thing for him to come of the madness that is occurring right now with my pet. John stated that the manager will call me tonight or tomorrow morning. I told John from Lilo. If the call is not done before 10 AM I will be taking matters into other hands and also contacting the BBB. I don't know what the grammar did for Jack to not bleed as I picked him up, but he has been bleeding uncontrollably all over my bed and my sofa. I am very displeased with the service and I am not a satisfying customer. If this manner is not handled by noon tomorrow at the latest, I will be coming up there. I usually do all brushing, bathing, etc myself. I booked a bath and deshed. I noticed today that he had a matted area when I was petting him and after close inspection, and a vet visit he has post groom skin infection. They said he needed to be shaved because he was matted, which was fine and I understood (not my first time) but I asked she leave a little fluff around the ears. I didn't think to ask about the tail because didn't think I had to. Every groomer I've ever had naturally left some fluff in both areas but she literally left nothing. Looks like he has a rat tail. The manager proceeded to argue with me that it wasn't possible after I gave my honest feedback and I had to explain at least 3 times because she couldn't seem to grasp the concept that I've had my dog groomed in the past and that it has never been an issue before... so obviously it's lack of experience on your groomers part. NOT THE EXPERIENCE WE HOPED FOR! This pet grooming service needs overview by licensing for all regulations regarding the services they profess to expertly provide, as well as the well-being of pets throughout the grooming process. We have three granddogs that we are responsible for while our daughter who is new to the state, works out of state. All three pets were in need of grooming, (1) three year old and (2) six-month puppies, so our daughter booked these services. Speaking for myself, I am an avid REVIEW reader when searching for services. I don't know what research our daughter did before booking Lilo's Mobile Pet Spa. Our appointment was for 9-11 on Saturday morning and the mobile arrived on schedule, and the driveway was clear for them to park into. The first observation noted was that there was only ONE (1) employee operating this mobile spa. The young tech was polite and spoke with us fluently in English while discussing the (3) three-year-old pets preferred manner of grooming, since this WAS NOT his first time being groomed. His cut about the face was not only UNEVEN, his ONE eyebrow was cut WAY TOO SHORT, while we pointed it out and asked for correction which only made it worse, the pet will be forced to remain this way until the coat grows back. Following the grooming, we had to ASK that the anal area be cut down, although this is a service that is an integral part of grooming, especially when a pet has long hair. The same uneven cuts were noted on the (2) six month old puppies, as well as uneven nail cutting, which has left the puppies paws very sensitive to our touch while petting them. Needless to say, the experience was not a positive one for our granddogs. By the end of the services, the tech was clearly exhausted and should not have been grooming solo for the safety and well-being of the services provided to the pets and the safety and well-being of the techs. We were charged an additional 4% fee for using a debit card and not cash, which was not explained while booking, as well as an additional mobile fee which should have been worked into the cost of the grooming, not separated specifically and also not explained at the time of booking. The $90 price point charged should have included the mobile fee. The concept of this business is very lucrative, yet Lilo's Mobile Pet Spa DOES NOT deliver on what they advertise. Our daughter was notified and sent the after pictures of the pets grooming. We suggested she use a different groomer going forward. read more

Saturday morning, no one shows up so I call & they tell me "You needed to book via text message not phone call so we are not serving you until 5pm this afternoon. This is your fault not ours". Honestly THE WORST groomer experience I've ever had!!! We had a similar experience to the other reviews here. Neither lady spoke any English and were very obviously not trained or comfortable working with animals. If your profession is grooming I expect you to actually like animals, know how to work with them, and try to make them comfortable during the service. My dog was petrified of them after being man handled and yelled at! The actual grooming was terrible as well. He has random, uneven chunks cut out of his coat. I tried communicating that I didn't want my golden retriever's chest hair cut but he came out of the van looking like a shaved lab. I also said it's okay if he's not all the way dry because he was so scared of them and the hair dryer. They told me (via a translate app) that it's okay and normal for the dog to be scared and insisted that they had to continue. I called their customer service afterward but was told I should have called them instead of trying to communicate with the groomers in my driveway real time...... Once talking to the manager he rejected even a partial refund and offered me a free service in the future. You couldn't pay me to use them again though. I have never left a yelp review in my life but this experience was so terrible I felt the need to share. All of their good google reviews are NOT for the Houston location. I wish we had seen Britney's review^ before we booked. We had the same exact experience. Neither lady spoke English or was able to communicate with us about what we wanted. We heard them yell at our dog, and when we asked why, they explained that it was because he was afraid of the dryer (?). It took 2.5 hours after they told us it would take 1 hour, and we were anxious for the duration because of the yelling (we went down two different times to check in). We just spoke with Jon, the customer rep, and he said he would share this feedback with the groomers. Jon offered us a discount on our next service, but you couldn't pay us to use them again. This was my first time doing mobile grooming as I have a nervous frenchie when it comes to nail trimming and he hates car rides so the convenience is why I booked. I stated that in the notes before booking that he gets aggressive with his nails. The woman who came to my door spoke little to no English, didn't introduce her self or say hello to my dog to make him feel comfortable. When I asked questions she just looked me up and down and gave no answers just "yes" and "ok" with a rude demeanor. They didn't show me inside the van or what products they would be using. I was hesitant to even let them go through with the service. Overall just a bad customer experience. I would absolutely never book with them again! They weren't able to grind the nails which is understandable due to his behavior but I was in there helping as she did the nails and she had no idea what she was doing like it was her first time. At the end, his face wasn't cleaned nose was dirty and his face folds hadn't been cleaned at all which is a service they specify in. I asked what all they were able to complete and they couldn't even tell me anything it was like walking a toddler through a conversation. $100 for a bath. Two ladies who knew basically zero English came to my house and didn't even bother to greet my dog or make him feel comfortable. The older lady in the car grabbed my dog my his collar and pulled him inside the car and then immediately closed the door. They didn't show me what was inside, the equipment they were using, what products they were using, etc. You would think as "Dog Groomers" they would actually like dogs? It seems like these ladies just stumbled upon this job and said "oh, well washing a dog couldn't be that hard!" I genuinely don't even know what they did to my dog, all I know is he smelled a little better but his nails were uncut and his paws were still dirty. I paid $90?!? On top of that, when they finished and I went to go get my dog, he looked absolutely petrified. I let them know ahead of time that he is just a very scared dog when it comes to loud equipment.
